  1. I have been thinking of this also, with multiple guns, and me and my son shooting, it is a lot of work to do the tare down and rebuild thing. Mostly for the lowers.
  2. Anything worth shooting once, is worth shooting twice.

    Mag Well for Shadow 2?

I havent used the big mag release in a match yet, but in dry fire, all of this together works great!! (and looks cool )

    Mag Well for Shadow 2?

The trigger is from the CZ parts web site, but i don't recall who makes it. I know it is out there and available. the Henning base pads are a couple of years old, so i don't know if the design has changed at all. For me, the hennings fit the easiest and even have a little wiggle room.

    Mag Well for Shadow 2?

I found that with the magwells from LOK Grips, my Henning and Taran Tactical extended base pads work fine.
  6. Sounds like they could open another squad.

    Mag Well for Shadow 2?

I have both the CZ Custom and the LOK Grips magwell. For the CZC you need to use the 18 round mags with the 17 round base pads. The LOK magwell, you do need a thin toped aftermarket base pad but it will work with the 17 round mags.

    S2 Orange for IDPA

Hi All, I typically shoot IDPA and have been shooting my S2 on CO. With the Primary Machine cut and the CZ Custom thin grips and magwell and the CGW polymer guide rod and the empty magazine it comes in at 44.5 oz. Just under the weight limit. With the added bulk of the barrel bushing, has anyone been able to get a Shadow 2 Orange down to under 45 oz. ?
  10. I did have everything set up to copy and paste...... but I should have used 2 devises. keeping my fingers crossed, still a little while to go.
  11. When open registration went live, I signed up and the system was so loaded with people trying to make it in that as soon as I was done, I attempted to register my son, a junior shooter, and his registration is wait listed!!! Super disappointed, but I hope that there will be enough people that drop out, that I can get him in.
  12. Maybe playing an instrument. My youngest is def in one ear and has been playing the violin. What about long range precision shooting?
  13. I use, and have used for 2 years the CZ Custom aluminum magwell. The mags i use are the CZ 18 round, the ones that come with the SP01. for the base pad, i use the 17 round mec-gar plastic ones that come on the 17 round mags. this is what i use on my shadow 2, and with the polymer CGW guide rod, it comes in at 44.8 oz.
  14. I did finally pick up my first PCC, JP15-9 and sighted it in on Saturday. using a Holosun HS512C. I will be mostly using it in IDPA (ditching the concealment garment!!) My first practice with it is tonight (shot a regional match in CO on Sunday), and glad to continue to hear good reports about the ETS mags, as I got 5 of them. also got 3 glock 33's but that is all my LGS had. For the 10 rounder that came with the JP, I got a brass Taylor Freelance base pad and plan on using it for those down loaded starts. It does BURN THROUGH AMMO..... WOW.
  15. Thanks for the heads up on the extractor, I will get one of those on the way with an extra firing pin.
  16. Hi Murzikrv, I hope you don't mind if i continue in the same line of questioning (hijacking your thread). I will be new to PCC shortly, but i did decide on a gun already and will be picking it up Monday. After a good amount of research, looking at building my own, buying one and then figuring out which one, i found that the JP gmr15 was tough to beat, and the wait and cost of the JP5 was too much for me at this time. out the door, 1907.45 with the light weight barrel. very happy with the package. I have been using Holosun optics on my Carry Optics CZ's and plan to be using the Holosun HS512C, a 45 mount with a Holosun HS507C and a Viridian HS1 Hand Stop Laser. 2 questions: 1 What repair items do i need to keep on hand, are there "more common" parts that fail, like firing pin, for example, or is this going to be 10,000 rounds before i really see anything go bad? 2 - from the optic choices that i indicated above, what recommend changes do you have? There are defiantly cheaper options, but i was had pressed to really find a better one. Looking forward to the conversation.
  17. Funny, you can muzzle your leg now per the new rules.
  18. And you can get just the fire control unit and build your own........ so, per how you can buy the pistol, it is still anything you want it to be.
  19. shooting my S2 with out a front sight for over a year. Ditto on the comment, if your are target focused, you will not notice anything else. also try occluding the dot, lots of info out there about that technique to become target focused.
  20. I would think that if your slide to frame fit is still good, it may be that you could just get new barrels ( i like the CZ Custom match barrel ) and then a Cajun Gun Works 10X bushing. May want to consider replacing your pins that have rotating parts on them, and the sear and hammers, and the safeties, as part fitment probably out of tolerance. If you can do the work your self, it should be less expensive than replacement, but if you can't, replacement may be the better option. I have both the SOP1 and Shadow 2, most parts are interchangeable, but i prefer the feel of the SP01.
  21. The 12 pound spring in mine sets off Russian primers with no problem, and the hammer spring can be swapped in 2 minutes if you need to run your kadet. Than you will really love the trigger pull!
  22. I feel like it ends up heavier than it needs to be for optimal use. just with the thin aluminum grips, and a good grip, it shoots really flat. And, for me, though i have large hands but have shorter thumbs and it makes the grip a little wide for getting to the mag release with out readjusting my grip.
  23. It you just put the single action trigger in it, it will be single action with out disassembling the sear cage. They are not that expensive. I have had one in my shadow 2 and in my compact. For me, I found no benefit because the you loose the double action feature, with no additional capability with SAO. What You can do, if you want a flat trigger, and want to retain the double action, Eemann Tech makes a good one, but i would recommend using with the short reset disconnector. I attached a picture of my S2 with the Eemann Tech trigger.
  24. I didn't read the entire thread, but i didnt see any pics, so here are mine on my S2. I think that they are the same on the TS but not 100% I may be putting them up on the classifieds soon.
  25. I have never seen replacement parts for the Kedet uppers. May be look to see how close it is to a shadow, or SP01 would be my suggestion.
