  1. After I got the Accu-Shadow, I just couldn't bring myself to having the slide cut. And for me at my age the little difference in overall accuracy was not worth it. I'm very happy with this setup. JD
  2. It shoots great. No Problem. It comes up very natural. I have a Venom 3 moa brand new, if your interested? JD
  3. I have both and love them both! I was going to setup a S2 for CO but decided to go with the Accu-shadow. I put on a CZC dovetail mount and that was it. The gun is 43.55 oz with a stock mag. I couldn't see milling up a S2 when I already had a great gun that would do the job. Also, no need to cut the slide on the Accu-Shadow, and if I want to go back to stock, just push out the mounting plate and push in the sights. Just my .02 JD
  4. The second picture is the back of the mount that I cut off, the U bolts go through it. Not sure what you mean? I will PM you my # if you want to call me. JD
  5. I was having a lot of problems with my BF going out of adjustment because of the movement of the case feeder. So I put together a inexpensive free standing mount for the BF. Mine is a 3D BF but you could adapt this to any BF. Total cost about $17.00 and it is easy and works great. I went to Lowes and got a piece of 36" 3/4" black pipe and a black 3/4"floor flang and 2 3/4" wide U bolts. On my BF, I just cut off one side of the mount that goes over the case feeder and put the U bolts through the other half. For a MBF you adapt a piece of wood the to mount the MBF to. JD
  6. I already have that whole kit installed. JD
  7. Thanks for all of the input. I have been out of state for some weeks and havn't been running anything. I have made all of the checks above. After I make my next run, I will let you guys know. Thanks again, JD
  8. YES/MAYBE LOL! I have a 1050 with a bullet feeder, had a mini now have a regular one. There are 2 things you can do to solve the problem, 1 is to buy a 2in1 final die. 2 is to install a mirror above the station and you can see both if case has powder and the if your bullet is on right side up. I decided to put up a mirror and it works great. But before you spend the money for a mini you may want to consider a 3D version of the Mr. bullet feeder. I can send you pictures of my set up if you like. PM me JD
  9. Have you thought about the way the suppressor operates? Maybe the spring in the suppressor is causing the short reset to reset before your can get off the trigger/ Just a thought. JD I have an Obsidian and plan on putting it on a Canik.
  10. I have the extended firing pin and spring with the 11.5# spring and it handles CCIs with no problem!! I will never buy CCIs again!!! I've had nothing but problems loading with them. JD
  11. Any idea why? I have been checking them 5 or 6 at a time, so that maybe the problem. I will try a longer run
  12. I just cleaned and relubed the press, also added roller bearing over shell plate and nylon ball along with an aftermarket long press return spring. Love the return spring!! Problem, before the cleaning I had .004 to .005 difference in AOL. Now I have a .014 difference?? I used the recommended space of for under the shell plate. I even tightened it up and it is still a problem?JD
  13. Most of the time I have found that with all of the shaking that goes on with the 4 sets of trays, this does not happen very much any more. Most of them shake out. Keep in mind I can only speak for myself, but I don't get that many 40s in that tray, so if you see a 9 that is stuck. You just take it out or leave it and don't worry about it because I am not loading 40s. The best part for me is that I have stopped almost all 380s in the 9s. HA!WOO! I am only loading 9s, so I sort all of my brass first and then just clean the 9s. But after I clean the 9s I shake out all of the media. I throw batches of 9s that have been cleaned into the 380 tray and give it a final shake to get out any 380s that I may have missed and get out any little bits of media that may have been left. Works for ME! JD Note: it really helped a lot when I separated the 45 and 40 and 9 by putting 2" blocks between them. When I get a chance, I will shoot some pictures of my set up. I run the brass thru the 45-40 to the black 9mm tray, then dump what ever is in the 9mm tray into the 380 bucket which is inside a 5 gal pal Note: the 380 bucket is a 5 gal pal cut in half and the bottom replaced with the 380 plate. That is the floor that you see thru the 380 plate!! not the bottom of the pale.
  14. It works great!! 340Weatherby sent me the Arduino and all of the wires along with a complete set of instructions on how to wire it. And it is up and running and working great. I am loading 9mm so I get about 22 case with each fill of the tube. I have it on a 1050 with a bullet feeder so there is still quite a bit of noise. From the bullet feeder. It was a fun project considering Lars is in Norway and I am in Florida. JD
  15. I just got mine and I love them!!!!! The 380 work great, I use it twice in my process. Once when I separate the brass. And when again as my final check after cleaning, to get any extra media out and a final check to get any 380s that may have got thru. If you don't do as many pieces at a time it really works better. Buy doing this, I havn't had one 380 get thru in the last 1000 rnds. JD Note: I spaced the 45 and the 40 with 2" wood blocks so there is more space between them and they work really great!!
  16. This is what I did! JD Hope this helps. JD
  17. I have a 3D bullet feeder that uses all of DDA running gear and it works great. Less than half the price. 9mm on a 1050
  18. This site sells them individually. https://dawsonprecision.com/shell-sorter-set-for-9mm-40s-w-45acp/ also the Shell Sorter site sells them for $14.00 each plus shipping. https://www.shellsorter.com/products/shell-sorter?variant=51408502789 And there site is less than Amazon for all of the pcs including the 380 plate. JD
  19. Thanks to all of you that have responded!! As usual great info on the forum. And thanks for the video GregJ, that was great!! Note: I did check Cabela's website on the media/cal. sorter, and it says that it does both. Based on most of the comments here, I have ordered the 3 pcs set and the 380 plate, it seems that most of you are pretty happy with that setup and it is just a case of working out what works best for you. In any case it seems to be better than hand sorting. Which is a total pain, and I still end up with lots of 380s, old eye's. Thanks again for all of the feed back!!! JD

  21. Is anyone using the 3 plastic trays and the aluminum plate for 380s?? How do they work and are they worth the cost? and/or is there anything better? Thanks. JD

    Shadow 2 Optic?

I have the CZC and you are right!! The corners on the CZC are quite sharp and it does seem a but long. I do wish that I had bought the Henning. It would have worked well for my sight. I really don't like the sharp corners! JD
  23. I'm not an electrical engineer, but it would seem that you should be able to have a switch or sensor on the bottom that tuns it on when low with the use of a relay. And one on top that turns it off when full?? Can someone comment on a simpler way to accomplish this. Thanks, JD
  24. It is a CZC plate in the dove tail of the rear sight.
