  1. Good day, everyone! I'm looking for an instructional video on detailed disassembly for CZ Shadow 2. I've searched Youtube already, and kept finding one for CZ 75 SP01 Shadow. Are the steps on disassembly really similar for these two? If not, I would really appreciate if anyone can send me a link for one. It doesn't have to be a video as long as the instructions are clear and detailed. I just preferred video since i'm more of a visual person. I appreciate any help and thank you in advance!
  2. Hey guys, I have an urban grey p-01 with CGW short reset, i have a huge issue where upon attaching suppressor (rugged obsidian) my short reset becomes a binary trigger that shoots 2 rapid fire shots after i release finger from trigger i get a weird interaction where the short reset gets completely erased to the point i dont feel the reset click...I am not "riding" the trigger because this issue doesn't exist without suppressor or my other guns that i run suppressed. Additionally, my trigger becomes dead because the decocker slightly pops out of the frame. I am very concerned about these issues because this used to be my nightstand setup and i would like to keep it this way, but if i cant i may be forced to bring my gun back to stock everything. Stock recoil spring, CGW short reset package (extended firing pin, hammer spring, firing pin spring) gun is cleaned often, full detail cleaning every 1000 rounds suppressor is cleaned every 2000 rounds booster and booster spring are lightly lubed up with white lithium (per manufacturer suggestion) blast cap is fully screwed in Thanks in advance for any attempts to help!
  3. My search skills are failing me: At some point I had seen a link to animated GIFs of how single and double action 75s work. For the life of me, I cant find the link. If anyone could share again it would be appreciated. Why im looking: With the last round in the chamber and the magazine follower pressing up on the slide lock, my last trigger pull in Single Action wont break. If I apply downward pressure on the slide release lever (round chambered, not locked back) it applies a slight amount of pressure to the trigger bar and Single Action Breaks. The Firearm: CZ SP-01 with a Manual Safety CGW 75115 Production Legal Kit (Self Installed) What I HAVE done: Installed the 75117 Kit I was having an issue where the Double Action would not break, I found a post on here showing where to "heavy polish" a few .001s off the disco wing... problem solved. Fixed a "light strike" issue by learning the importance of properly seating my primers while reloading. Searched the carpet of my living room with a magnet for springs that did not want to stay put. What I HAVE NOT done: Called David at CGW Taken the gun to an actual professional at the LGS I've really loved my SP-01 and installing the Production Legal Kit was a blast. I know the Single Action breaking is related to the trigger bar, im just not sure where. I'm not above actually bringing it to a professional, I just want to take a stab at tuning it myself first. If anyone has any pointers, I'm all ears. Thanks in advance. Cheers!
  4. Hello, I recently shot an SP-01 converted to SAO with Cajun Gun Works parts and it was amazing. Had the Race Hammer Kit, extended firing pin, 13# hammer spring, aluminum SAO trigger, reduced power trigger spring. The trigger was outstanding although the reset a bit long. But I hear removing the FPB will solve that. I want to get a gun for USPSA limited and am trying to decide between getting an SP-01 and converting it to SAO Cajun style with the above parts, or whether to get the CZ Tactical Sport. I suppose a third option would be get the TS and put an aluminum CGW trigger in it but leave the rest stock including the hammer. Have any of you held both? How do they compare? Advantage of the SP-01 is I will save money and still have an outstanding gun. Also mags are cheaper for the SP-01 than the TS. Advantage of the Tactical Sport I see being the longer barrel (larger sight radius and more heft for follow up shots) and larger grip. Although the SP-01 grip is very comfortable, I do have long fingers and I don't think it could hurt to have a bit larger grip. I know the TS has larger mags, but I'd just use Taran Tactical mag extenders for the SP01 if I went that route. I'm more wanting comparison of shooting each if anyone has handled both. Thanks for the help.

    97B"E" at 100 yards

I get bored shooting bullseye practice at times, so I go shoot the pistols at 100 or 200 yards. Yesterday was one of those days. My eyesight wasn't good enough for tight groups with the open sight P-10C, so I got out the CZ-97B"E" with the 3 moa red dot and hung a B-8C target near the top of the frame at 100 yards, went back to the bench, fired off 5 rounds, went and placed a fresh target over the (6") group, turned on the cameras and went back to the bench and fired off 10 more rounds. The aim point is maybe 18" above the target and out of the video frame. Here is the result. 100 yards 7-2-17 CZ-97 This pistol has a CGW 1911 style fitted bushing in the slide. This is my bullseye match gun. Atlanta Arms 185 gr JHP, same as I use in a bullseye match. This was a good result for me, as good as my P-09 and 75B (with a CGW bushing). Joe

    Tricked out CZs

I'm looking to switch off my Beretta 92, just don't like the ergonomics. Been seeing more and more people at the club with CZs, so I'm looking into one. My question is which one! Sp01 Shadow, Shadow custom 14, Accu Shadow??? I will probably use it mostly for USPSA production. Also who does good work on them, iv seen CZ custom and Cajun Gun works on the threads. Any one have thoughts on Akai (I live in FL)? And where should I buy it from? Get it from one of these guys directly, or buy it local and then have the work done after a few months (when the bank account can handle it again :-) ).
