    Romeo 3XL

I used to be able to get them for 475, now 600 is a good deal and 699 is the going rate. Fortunately, I have an ample supply from pre price jump, and they all have the new button design, which I’ve had no issues with.

    Romeo 3XL

Romeo3s have become stupid expensive, in a climate of cheaper and more affordable dots it’s actually gone up in price. Average price is now 600-700. I wonder if this has to do with all the optics they’ve had to warranty for bad buttons.
  3. I use a red dot. I’ve tried both extensively and prefer the gold. IMO the red get too dark and make it too hard to see small details.
  4. I had the same issue with the green 507 comp. It was so bad I thought it was defective, until I looked through a different 507 green and it was exactly the same.
  5. That may be so, but I don’t see any signs of overpressure. It’s pretty much the minimum load to make that bullet work for me.
  6. The load I’ve settled on for RMR 124gr mpr is 4.75 grains of sport pistol loaded to 1.15. This gives me about 1060 fps out of a 4.6” barrel. This seems to me to be a larger charge normal for the 131ish PF. For comparison a blue bullets 124 gr .356 bullet at 1.15 only needs 4.1 grains of sport pistol to achieve the same 1060ish fps. ive messed around with OAL a bit and every .01 reduction adds approximately 10 fps from 1.15 down to 1.12. I’d load a bit shorted but then I get feeding problems.
  7. The major minor debate for LO is not the same as in SS. The 3-4 extra rounds is in no way worth shooting minor scoring. Minor is a 5% handicap. anyone serious would shoot major. Getting a .40 2011 optics ready gun would be limited to a small handful of custom builders. No major manufacturer is willing to make anything but 9mm.
  8. ‘if anything the 10 months since I made this post have shown there is plenty of demand to shoot a 9mm 2011 with an optic in USPSA.
  9. People in your situation are the only ones that would probably have shot LO major. The simple fact is, most manufacturers don’t even make an optics ready .40 2011.
  10. He still lists 16 weeks as the lead time on his web site. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s a year behind at this point. it’s also hard to believe he’s still taking orders.
  11. For s#!ts and giggles, I ordered one to look at. On paper, the window is only slightly taller and wider than a r3 XL. However, due to the curved glass in the r3, the Cyelee is noticeably bigger. The housing is also much much larger. The dot is also not as bright on full setting as the r3, however I never use full on the r3, so it’s probably ok.
  12. This is my go to when I have issues. Very effective for me.
  13. Sig has redesigned the buttons on the r3. They seem to be much more durable. I’ve had no button issues since I send my optics in for warranty repair and they were replaced with the newer design.
  14. I shot 147 for the last 5 years. However since I’ve switched to a heavy metal gun, the slide and sights feel sluggish, especially when shooting at farther distances. I’ve recently tried a variety of 124 gr and the gun feels like it recovers much faster. The gun just feels faster, it’s hard to explain. I’m 99% committed to switching for next year.
  15. Anyone messed with one of these? The thing looks absolutely massive. In actuality the window is only slightly bigger than a r3 xl, however it’s also half the price.
  16. Won’t hold up under hard use. There are lots of preferred specs for these small fasteners, but the amount of force they take in this application is way beyond what would be considered normal use. You can start with some of the advice in this thread and torque to 8 in/lb and purple loctite. From personal experience this won’t work. Or. You can over torque it and use red loctite and reduce or eliminate problems. You just need to be aware and careful if you need to remove the fastener.
  17. Torque that light will never hold up on a slide ride optic.
  18. I generally torque the large optic screws to 25 in/lb and the smaller plate screws to 15 in/lb. when removing if I get any excessive resistance at all. I go right to using heat and then they come right out with no issues. Some screw, especially the ones trijicon uses are super easy to strip out and a bitch to remove once you do.
  19. I can get 23+1 with no issues with atlas mags in an atlas gun. I’m able to get 24+1 in Mbx mags in the same gun.
  20. The original P320 X5 would only fit a Romeo 1 without a plate. The original P320 X5 Legions would fit a Romeo 1 pro or DPP. the Romeo 1 will also fit, if you enlarge the holes in the optic itself. P320 X5 legions made after about February 2020 will fit a DPP, Romeo 1 pro or RMR without a plate
  21. When I was messing with the Holosun I preferred the straight 2 moa dot. The 2+8 looked much bigger to me than 8. personally I’ve tried a variety of sizes from 2-10. And I always gravitate back to a small bright dot.
  22. I use an 8. I run 147gr bullets at 135ish pf. I run the shock buffer and change it every 5k rounds.
  23. When I shot a p320 I never cleaned mags and replaced springs every other year. Since I’ve switched to a 2011, I clean them every time they hit the ground. They are exponentially more finicky.
  24. its interesting that people still use the RTS2.
