  1. I wasn’t very impressed with the Atlas Athena I bought. It didn’t seem like it was fit very well and had issues with both the trigger and extractor. Support was great, when you could actually get ahold of someone. But actually getting someone was an issue. Calls went unanswered, and voicemails were never returned. Their ticket system is ok, but it can take 3-4 days to get an actual response. In the end I corrected the issues myself with the help of YouTube… they did offer to have me send the gun back, but I didn’t want to risk another extended wait after the initial wait for the gun. now everything runs right and I haven’t had any further issues. but it was irritating to have multiple issues with a brand new gun. How does it compare with other 2011s? I have no idea.
  2. I’ve pretty much tried every optic. SRO, RTS2, 507 comp, FTP. I always come back to the R3 XL.
  3. I bet some of the current registrants switched…..
  4. ‘there is red currently in stock at the link 2 posts up.
  5. In stock at https://aaaoptics.com/products/holosun-hs507comp-compact-multi-reticle-circle-dot-red-dot-sight-w-shake-awake-for-pistol
  6. I don’t disagree with this, however if it’s still being discussed, its change is still on the table.
  7. Yes, because the board always behaves in a transparent and rational manner while making decisions in the best interests of the membership…
  8. The fact that USPSA is still asking the question in a recent poll seems to indicate otherwise…..
  9. There a good amount of people waiting to see if LO is 100% minor only before ordering a custom gun.
  10. I’ve said multiple times that maybe I have a bad one. However AMG pretty much told me that it was working as expected, and only for low light and indoor use. It’s hard to argue with that, but euxx is certainly not willing to give it up.
  11. Dude you are such an insufferable know it all. I’ve told you multiple times, I’m basing his off what I personally see, and all that results in is you ignoring what I’ve said and spewing out some crap that makes you feel like you know what your talking about. You don’t.
  12. Cool story bro….. This is my last response to you on this. Getting into arguments with keyboard warriors over the internet is like a one legged man in an ass kicking contest. You are the one that won’t even acknowledge that a problem might exist. I know how cameras don’t film the same way our eyes see. But the video is a good approximation of the problem. As soon as there is sunlight, the display is unusable. Square to the sun, 30 degree angle, it sucks no matter what. let’s also not forget that a lot of people that use the timer clip it to their belt or pocket while using it. Which makes it extra aggravating trying to twist around and look at the screen. The timer is a tool. It should convey quick and precise info to the user. The LCD version does this, the oled version does not. Simple as that.
  13. Maybe so, but you aren’t even acknowledging that there is a problem and you seem to be taking it slightly personal. With or without sunglasses in sunlight the screen ranges from pure black to extremely faded. In both cases its unreadable. maybe I have a bad screen, maybe you have a different batch of screens, who knows. All I can say is the timer I have is unusable in sunlight. did you watch my video? That is exactly what I see when I’m trying to use it. Nothing.
  14. You are awful presumptuous that I’m not doing those things already. You’re acting like I’m insulting practiscore or something…. and no for the 3rd time. My glasses are not polarized. shooting outside in bright conditions is one of the most common shooting conditions. And this timer with the oled screen sucks when used in bright conditions. I don’t want to f*#k around with tilting screens or how I’m standing in relation to the sun. I want to look at the timer and be able to clearly read the information. When the manufacturer was directly asked, he admitted that it wasn’t ideal for outdoor use. I’m saying he needs to tell people this, before they plunk down their cash and wait for months to receive the timer.
  15. But that kind of is what he says. He stated directly he doesn’t recommend the timer for use in direct sunlight. the timer I received, the screen is almost completely black under sunlight. I don’t use polarized lenses. he needs to clarify this on his web store. As it is, he presents the oled as the premium version of his timer. Functionally, this is not the case.
  16. Once you have the press dialed in, you rarely have to deal with any of that.
  17. Here is his explanation And some follow up ‘given that info, the oled version seems pretty worthless. Who would buy a timer with the intention of never using it in sunlight..
  18. AMG miraculously responded to my email from 3weeks ago. Basically he stated that what I’m experiencing is normal, and the oled version is not meant for use in bright sun….. he should put something to that effect in the item description on his store.
  19. Manual speed for me was 800-1000/hr. Automated is comfortably 2k/hr with no issues after everything is dialed in.
  20. Let us know how it works in direct sunlight.
  21. Automating my press was one of the best things I ever did. The time savings is substantial if you shoot a lot. I started with an automated 1050 and upgraded to an automated apex 10. To be honest it was really more of a sidegrade. I gained a powder check station, but the speed I could load at is pretty much the same.
  22. Uh. That’s pretty silly. Never heard of such nonsense before…..
  23. So I took one of each timer to the range today and took some video to compare. Now that I see it on video, I think the problem with the oled screen is the refresh rate is too low. it completely fades out in direct sunlight. Without shooting glasses on the numbers are barely visible. With shooting glasses on, the screen is completely black. Do I have a bad one? Maybe. But ofcourse the email asking for help went unanswered. ‘video link for reference. https://www.instagram.com/reel/Cu-JK1sA_M2/?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet&igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA%3D%3D
  24. The yellow numbers on a black background are unreadable with hunters gold glasses. I tried my Oakley prizm trail and it was only slightly better.
  25. I find the oled very hard to read in direct sunlight with shooting glasses on.
