  1. hopefully, we will get them in Canada soon, but I think best case in the fall if they are in that high demand.
  2. Have you heard any info about arrivals to your shores of this pistol?
  3. This looks like a USA/Canada friend-ship match. I swear like 25% are from Canada! I am shooting Friday on squad # 15. I will try to not watch Chris T. shoot, as it is way too humbling!

  5. i have put crazy glue (very little) on mine to keep them in on my HK. No problems in perhaps 3000rds. mY STI had never needed anything (knock on wood), nor has my CZ. I would not hesitate to use a touch of craxy glue (a touch) i think I used a dental pick to place a small amount in between the front and rear notch of the front sight where it contacts metal.
  6. anyone have any problems with the mags? I noticed a few serious nose dives (the whole stack was pointed downwards) Is this due to the mags getting a little dirty, or another culprit? The mags are the 10rd OEM mags that come with the SP01.
  7. I like the safeties on the Limited Custom better than the ones pictured of the stock2. They must easily switch out.??
  8. god I hope your wrong. Coming from Italy, I would think these things could be cleared up. I felt the trigger on the Tan, and felt it was ok in DA, and good in SA. What concerns me the most is the porous properties you mention. Most triggers work in and smooth out from lots of dryfire to a degree.
  9. what holsters would be used with this Stock 2? I guess a kydex that fits the LC, and a race type holster for same would work.
  10. yeah, I could have followed the masses and got an SP01 long ago, I guess I was stubborn and really liked that I could shoot the HK for 1000's of rounds and not worry about FTF, FTE, or any problems. The last match I was in, I came in 7th out of 13 production shooters at 80%. 1st place tan, 2nd-cz,3rdcz, 4th-tan, 5thcz, 6th-cz, and 7th, HK........
  11. I am having the same decision dilema right now. I have been shooting an HK USP for the last 3 years. I would say it is a more reliable pistol than I have encountered. I wanted something that absorbed recoil better for my son to use for an upcoming Black Badge/ipsc course. I chose the SP01 Shadow, and installed a lower main spring. I have to say, I was never particularly interested in this pistol, as I have seen a few CZ's that were jam-omatics. These CZ pistols also had some problems, as the slide stops and trigger springs seemed to break frequently. Not sure, but I think these problems have worked them selves out. I really like this pistol, and i am thinking about retiring the Hk for this pistol, or the Stock 2 Tanfoglio. Basically a limited custom without the magwell, and holes, but in 9mm DA/SA. Looks very nice, but a bit more expensive (almost double). The hard chromed mags from Tanfoglio look a lot nicer as well. So, in order to suffice my impulse buying, I told the distributor in Canada for Tanfoglio to hold a Stock 2 for me when they arrive. I will have the best of both worlds. I will be able to do a comparison between the two. The only thing I am unsure of are the availability of parts for the Tanfoglio, and holsters. CR speed and Speedsec have holsters, but I haven't heard a lot about Bladetech holsters for tans.
  12. So the Shadow and Custom shop have the same reduced Mainspring and recoil spring? would 147gr 9mm at 134pf be harder on the frame/internals?
  13. I think i was actually "punching the trigger" instead of pinning. I was used to dryfire with a DA of 9lbs, and then in a match, pressing the trigger with as much force in SA (3lbs) My bad!
  14. http://www.bulletworks.com/ very help full folks, emailed me very quickly.....
  15. I looked up the previous stage designs from 2006 and the stages look very exciting! The only thing I wonder is about the steel poppers and plates......didn't see a whole lot of metal.....is this the norm?
  16. I'm going to the Vermont AWARE/ARea7 match in July, then on the way back to NB we are stopping in Augusta, Maine to try and attend a club match at Capital city range.
  17. what does everyone use. Are Guga ribas mag pouches ok to use in USPSA production?
  18. tried this today for the first time, more like 13yards-2A's. 2.16. I was relaxed when I did it, so that may have helped. The mag change was a 1.13 shot to shot.
  19. I have always used my trigger finger to press the mag release on my HK USP. With my STI Edge, I installed a Mitchell right sided mag release. A little work had to be done for ergonomics (trimmed it a bit so I don't press it during grip), but it made the transition from the USP to the Edge minimal. I still use my trigger finger to press the mag release. (no finger in trigger guard during mag change) If you have to pull your mags out it is never good..........smooth out your mags by possibly sanding off the spots that make it stick, and look for imperfections or left over pieces of plactic inside the glock mag well.
  20. I think the L10 (which is what all divisions in Canukistan/Canada have to abide by) and production adds an extra aspect to the shooting games, as you have to figure out the best place to do mag changes......ie: most field stages are usually 3 -4 mag changes. VS. one or none. Don't get me wrong, I would LOVE to be "able" to lawfully use regular/full capacity mags,.....but it makes the big stages a little more challenging.
  21. I don't even own a glock, but I found the 147gr winchester to have the highest PF of average 144-147PF. The 124gr winchester was around 139-141 PF. This was out of an HK with polygonal barrel.
  22. aside from the weight differences, do you find you can really get a wicked reload with the Brazos custom.........i find I don't have to be as precise with my mag changes in my Edge. Just basically throw it in. Unless you really need 20 rds, (Everything in Canada is L10 ), I would try taking out one round. Unless you really need the extra round, it would make the reload not as hard to push in to engage the mag catch. (ie: 24rd stage is going to require a mag change somewhere, if you time the mag change correct, don't need more than 18-19rds for mag used for the reload)
  23. +1. I had thought this was slowing me down, and had someone confirm with out me saying anything a few matches ago. It was a really low port with two paper and no shoots all around them. I hesitated and wanted a perfect sight picture when a type 2 focus was all that was necessary....... After the stage was over, the other shooter walked up and said,..."nice run, but you wasted about 2 seconds going into this position and getting out of it"
  24. I like the elevator scene with Ray Liotta.
