  1. if I don't get the Merrels,..I might get these; http://www.thenorthface.com/opencms/opencm...amp;language=en I had a similiar pair made by Vasque,..but can't get them anymore.
  2. I don't know the rules of IDPA well..but I know the USP and its variants. For a division starting holstered in Single action, you want a variant # 9 plate; that is all you need to buy to switch it from Variant 1. V# 9 the lever acts the same as a 1911 safety, and does not decock. If you are right handed, and want to use it DA first shot, get a right sided lever, and a variant # 3/4 plate. The lever will only decock, and it will be on the right side of the gun. This will allow a good high thumb hold on the left side of the frame, without the risk of decocking it. the plates are about $12 each, the right sided lever is probably $35.
  3. Guga Ribas mag pouches, totally adjustable, and with the spacers, I can use them for all mags. (Single stack and double stack.)
  4. polish up the mag catch, and also the frame area is moves thru.
  5. Stock2, or CZ shadow. M&P seems to be popular as well.
  6. I find plate racks or shooting a row of plates at close distances to be about getting an exceptable sight picture....without being too focused on the plates.... almost like using my peripheral vision a little more can make everything seem slower...and get a sight picture that will allow a pause long enough to carry thru the rack. It is the worst place to be tense...
  7. I called Sean today at Freedom Ventures. His LC's coming all have the slide cuts like Blued LC.
  8. what type of polishing are you doing? Just curious to see what other people are polishing. Looks nice,....what recoil spring/ hammer spring are you running....? I was thinking of running a 12lb recoil and 14lb hammer spring with the longer firing pin Has anyone thought to take the plunger apart and polish up the stem?
  9. OK, this is the final mock up that Joe completed. I had a minor problem with the little Shooting guy that was supposed to be on my left chest....it is PPC guy that was supposed to go with the words "Combat masters" ......not my name. So I kicked it and decided to put another Logo on it. This logo represents a well known shooter who's DVD series are very well done, and offer improvement to any shooter. I can't fly across the country for training, so these DVD's help with technique and practice. Notice on the back I give props to Henning...."very nice" MH_08.pdf
  10. neat. Stays on target well....... I went to a Class 3 dealer in Maine. German ex-military,...he loves full auto. I think I fired almost every type of current HK (G36K, G36C,..MP5K,.....all silenced.) and I think an UZI,...and a HK45 tactical silenced. Very nice......never be able to shoot that stuff in Canada ......legally.
  11. well, Joe has been working hard to catch up with the high demand for their product. He just sent me a final Mock up. I will attach the PDF. If you notice, I have been sponsored via free ammunition and good deals on ammunition by Canadian BDX. The others on the shirt have given me great customer service, and I like their products. 12. thanks,...I was wondering as you never mentioned it,..or have it on your website. kinda reminds me of the recoil master for sti,....some guys like it, others don't. HK has a similiar system.
  13. anyone using these,...is this something that is used with Wolff recoil springs??
  14. Aww, shucks... Since this gun is for my lefty son, yesterday I installed an ambi safety and reversed the mag release... Henning makes it look so easy in his videos. You need 4 hands to work on these guns. I'll go ahead and take a detailed look at what's binding that mag. Really not looking forward to another complete disassembly. Seriously, thanks a lot Leo. Tonight, if I spend more time than usual scratching my head, I may contact you for tech assist. Too be honest, I doubt it is the mags,...if it is follow the above advice.,....more than likely the mag release is causing the problems since you reversed it. When I reversed the mag release (I am a righty, but liked to use my trigger finger),...I ended up with mags not sticking, and the follower is prone to catch on the catch if you reverse the mag release. The problem went away when I put the mag back on the way god wanted it
  15. why is it so big? just comparing it to my CZ, HK, and STI,....and it seems to be over compensating... I am do to recieve a Limited custom, and want to throw some after market parts into it,...but wonder if a lower hammer spring with longer firing pin would not benefit from a shorter firing pin spring? Not sure if I should post this in this section....but kinda sorta related to aftermarket EAA /tanfoglio
  16. I have small hands, and yet I find the Custom safety is large enough, and ergonomic,...but everyones hands are different. I voted for a thinner front sight with fibre optic rod, as i liked my edge's front sight better than my tan's sight.
  17. Very nice, did you say the limited Custom with mag well will be coming out as well? (Ie; tanfoglio model in Canada) (ahh, edited because I was impatient and didn't follow the link LOL)
  18. That sounds great. I am scheduled to get a Limited Custom for standard,....so I will wait for the short ones.
  19. Silencio with internal baffle work great. Also available at Walmart.
  20. God,..I wish the inlaws had a time-share in April at Myrtle instead of March. I am driving down for the first week of March....hope to at least attend a Club match!
  21. the Limited Custom is only slightly longer,...with a mag well and SA hammer...that and the holes in the dust cover are the only difference....
  22. Freedom Ventures.....Sean Hansen, he is the Canadian Distributor of Tanfoglio.
  23. I actually used a SPeedsec for my Edge and my HK usp. No hangup or drag problems. With the Ghost I experience this once in while. Seated draws I find the Speedsec is tops......nothing beats it. The Ghost's spring is a little strong(the one behind the ball),...so I cut two coils from the spring and the retention is still there,...but less drag. You also have to watch not to cant it too much.....as the tendency to pull it out, instead of straight up draw it under pressure can cause it to snag a bit.
