  1. actually, I have yet to see anyone with a magna ported barrel in PCC. And YES the rules to allow for any gun deemed to not meet the specs for that division during a match to get bumped to open (pcc or otherwise). There are plenty of examples of production guys using an 11 round mag for a stage and get bumped to open because of the extra round < that is just an example
  2. Keep this in mind as well, IF you are going to be shooting this in a USPSA match, Barrel ports are not allowed per appendix D8 / 12, so you would be shooting in open class.
  3. I am getting a Dillon 650 press and I have a few questions to all the PCC shooters who shoot 124 grn, and reload.... what brand of bullet, powder, and primer are you using for your loads? Also, are you buying primers and powder locally (ATLANTA AREA) or ordering online? IF locally (ATLANTA AREA), where? and what are you paying for powder and primers? Before everyone says this has been talked to death or I should do a search on this topic.... I have been reading everything on here in PCC and the Reloading sections.... everyone is loading a different weight bullet and using a different powder and using a different primer... to much confusion to try to see a consensus of opinion for what I am wanting to shoot. I already have my PCC tuned for 124 gr Freedom munitions rounds at 1060fps (as listed on the web) and I do not want to go and do a ton of reworking of springs and such for a new bullet weight.

I might get in trouble for this but I am going to post this same question in the 9mm reloading section as well. Mark
  5. on my last match I did 12 on one stage. Forgot to step over the 2x2 firing line. What is worse is there is video evidence of it.
  6. Only been shooting PCC for 12 weeks. Already a mid C class shooter. I know I am basically dead slow on the run. But at 54 I felt like I was the Flash. LOL. I am looking for information on how to improve my performance on stages, where I am losing time (outside of needing to be able to run MUCH faster) Stage 1 A:19 C:12 D:1 time:34.50 HF: 3.8261 Finished 14 of 20 in PCC Stage 2 A: 36 Time: 30.55 HF: 5.8920 Finished 13 of 20 in PCC Stage 3 A:23 C:2 P:12 Time: 26.27 HF: 0.0381 I would have had a great run if I had ONLY stepped across the rear charge line Stage 4 A:27 C:2 D:1 Time 36.23 HF: 3.9086 Finished 8 of 20 Stage 5 A:21 C:9 D:3 M:1 Time: 44.55 HF: 2.8058 Finished 16 of 20
  7. I contacted him to build one for my PCC. He initially said he could do one. Several emails between us and he said he was busy. I sent him another email last week and he has not responded. I am not saying if this is a good or bad thing. just stating what has transpired so far. I hope he can free up some time to make a magwell for me. I would really like to have one on my PCC.
  8. I run OEM glock mags for the most part. 1 is a 17 round with a TF +10 on it. It will take 27 rounds but I down load it to 26. I have found that fully loaded there are some feed issues. 1 is a 33 round with a TF +10 on it. (the 33 round is actually a 31 with a glock +2 for 33) with the TF extender I can get it to 41 but I also download it to 40 for the same issue. I also have a 33 round mag with no extender. I have a PROMAG 17 round mag but for some reason it does not seem to like my PCC. I keep the promag, the 27 rounder on my belt in mag pouches. On out door matches with big stages (34+ rounds) I use my 40 round mag and keep my 33 round mag in a mag pouch on the small of my back in case something goes way south early I have a back up mag to go to. I use the 27 for stages under 20 rounds. Other wise I use the 33 round for most stages. I use the UM tactical mag pouches. I used them on my last outdoor match and they are great. I was using the Ghost 360 pouches. If you read the initial post you will see the issues I was having.
  9. Not a good idea. For one the mags won't go into the pouches. For another it is an unnatural action to work mags like you are asking Sent from my LG-H872 using Tapatalk
  10. That's expensive. I can get all sorts of different riser from optics planet for way less. Sent from my LG-H872 using Tapatalk
  11. I go through about 1000 rounds a month doing about 2 local matches a week and hoping to get to the range sometime in between those matches to get some practice done. I would do more if I was reloading since i could produce more rounds. Due to my work schedule I currently don't have time to travel to major matches. Maybe someday.
  12. Mcfoto, Interesting your comment that you feel that hand loads are less reliable. I am looking to start reloading for a few reasons, 1) I get to control the quality of the load. I can, if I choose, to inspect and weigh every bullet before I load them to make sure of consistent weight. I can check each piece of brass as well. I will be able to use a known brand of powder and can have a load that is in tighter tolerances than most of the manufacturers out there selling "target / practice" rounds which most of us shoot due to price. 2) I am no longer in the hands of the manufacturer. Meaning, if they make a change in their loads and do not publicize it and I order a new 1000 rounds from them, I am now experiencing a new POI due to those changes. Also, if the manufacturer is having supply issues on any part of their and that delays fulfilling orders for days or even weeks, you can find yourself WITHOUT ammo for a match and have to go out and pay full retail and have to resight your PCC due to a sudden change in rounds. Sometimes we don't have that time before a match when we have life happening around us. 3)cost per round- I know I have read a lot about the fact that you can't reload for less than you are paying for manufactured rounds. I, for one, am ok if I can at least load for the same cost per round mainly for the above 2 stated reasons. 4) it is another hobby to have.
  13. I have used 2k rounds of 124 remans from freedom and not had any issues. I had a fellow shooter tell me I should be using their NEW over remans. I have shot 300 rounds of the new and have had more Feed issues, not firing issues, and OAL issues with them in my glock mags. If I didn't have 700 rounds left I would go back to the reloads. I get very tight groups with them in my Diamondback PCC with their barrel. Right now, I trust the reloads more than the new. ALSO, I listen to the gun when a round goes off. The reloads have always been the same sound level. The new, I can hear different rounds sounding different, Lower to higher volume from round to round. I get very nervous when that happens. wondering if I am going to have to clear a jam or something to cost me dear seconds on a stage.
  14. I went with the UM tactical pouches. I got them in and on my belt. They are about 3/4" than the ghost pouches. They are made from a plastic stronger than Kydex. They are molded around a glock mag. The hole pattern is very adaptable to a variety of belt holders. Without the need for the leaf spring they hold the mags much more securely. Being longer the ghost pouches and the DAA racers I feel that they will work well. I ordered them without a belt holder and UM shipped them with teklok holders. I took them off and attached the pouch with my aluminum part I bought from a fellow member here. (used the ones on the left without the spacer. I will be trying them out this tuesday. I will let you know how they work

  17. Dude, I can tell you very specifically that there is a very noteable difference between my mil-spec spring and buffer and the blitz krieg / jp 308 spring. I read pages and pages here and all over the net about that very topic before I made the decision to go the path I did. I think you are stating things to just get a rise out of people here. I have found most people here state what works FOR THEM and let others make up their own mind. YOU on the other hand are presenting your opinions as god given fact and any other thought is wrong. My recommendation is you might want to back down some, state what you LIKE and leave it at that. Sent from my LG-H872 using Tapatalk
  18. Nice list. BUT, I'm sure that others here will have several other opinions. I for one am very happy with my burris ff3 optic for a third the price of the holosun. I use the 24 3g hiperfire. Exactly the same internals as the 24c but it has a curved trigger and is less expensive. Mil-spec buffer tubes are fine. I use a no 308 buffer spring and a blitz krieg buffer. My bolt and buffer weigh more than 6 oz but it runs very well. I bought a diamondback pic that from the factory came in at 6 pounds. I added the above items and am as competitive as everyone else without building from the ground up. Sent from my LG-H872 using Tapatalk
  19. Well technology has improved greatly. I would like to see someone make some for use only in a pcc. Sent from my LG-H872 using Tapatalk
  20. And a perfectly good reason for all steel mags Sent from my LG-H872 using Tapatalk
  21. i know that they have a steel insert. That insert DOES NOT go the full length of the magazine AND is not what I was asking about. Using these in PCC's that have metal magwells and metal (for the most part) mag release buttons will eventually wear down the cutout on the mag and then you have a worthless magazine.
  22. I was talking with a fellow pcc shooter and we were wondering if anyone makes glock mags WITHOUT the polymer casing. I get it that the OEM mags are made for the glock guns themselves with a polymer frame and mag release. In a PCC with a steel / aluminum frame and a mag release that is metal as well, it seems that a metal tube magazine would be best. It appears to me that continuing to use polymer glock mags would eventually wear out the mag cut out on the mag and cause problems with retention in the gun. I looked around and saw some on armslist and the dates were from several years ago. So that is what prompts this question and conversation.
  23. 100% agree about watching the video. It made much more sense than the written ones
