  1. might be getting to that spot. I find it hard to believe that with as many shooters using the mpx that there is not an option that does not include CF.
  2. I am looking for a smaller diameter 14" handguard for my Gen2 MPX that is NOT carbon fiber. The stock one adds SO much weight over my old blowback pcc. I really can't afford a CF handguard and have been looking around a lot on the ol interweb and cant seem to find anyone who sells one. Do any of you here know of a company that sells a smaller diameter handguard?
  3. Following this question as I am looking to find an answer to the same question
  4. I hear you. I have decided, until I can get the loads chrono'd, to go with a 4.4grns of clean shot with my 124grn blue bullet using cci small pistol primers loaded to an OAL of 1.1375. That is sort of the middle ground of the rounds tested. I am shooting an all classifier match tonight and we will see how it goes. Actually more worried about hitting the reloads than functionality right now. LOL
  5. So I bought a gen2 max from a buddy. Trying to work up a load for the gun. So I loaded up 24 rounds each of the following to test functionality in the mpx; All powder loads are using cleanshot and using 124 grain blue bullets and all loaded to the same OAL of 1.1475 3.9 grns 4.3 grns 4.6 grns 4.9 gens All of the above loads functioned the gun without any failures in full and partial mags. My old pcc load of 3.7 @ 1.11 would only run if there was 10 rounds in the mag. Loaded to a full mag they would fte after the first round. So my question is, based on several comments about running a HOT load, should I stay with the 4.9 load, go to the lowest load that worked (3.9), or split the difference and go with a load of 4.4? 6. do you have contact information for them? I think I still have all the pics with the caliper measurements in my phone I can send to them.
  7. I had been working with BMILLER here to get one made for the GUN. I had sent him precise measurements and pics and he was just not able to get one done or it appears to have the time to work on developing a magwell for such a SMALL MINORITY (me alone till you popped up here!) to make it worth his while to go to all the work in R&D for a one off. I love my Diamondback. I have yet to find a magwell that even looks close to fitting the gun. I will say this, IF you practice enough doing reloads you DON'T need a magwell. I have had 2 of the GM PCC shooters here in the ATL say that I do the fastest reload they have seen for a gun WITHOUT a magwell.
  8. Mags empty by hand fine. No rounds nose dive when ejecting by hand. The second round appears to load fine in the gun. It just fails to go bang. Almost like a high primer except for the fact that it happens consistently regardless of brass headstamp. Inspection of the unfired round shows a fp hit just no bang. 9. I am up to trying this BUT, this problem just started happening. The gun has run fine for almost a full year. I am thinking something has gotten out of spec on the lower or with the bolt. Maybe the ejector is TOO high? bent slighly? Oh, one more thing I just remembered. I have a back up PSA PCC that is exhibiting the same issues. That is what is making me think something is up with the MAGS.
  10. Over the last 6 matches I've been experiencing an odd situation. When I LAMR I start by locking my bolt open, inserting the mag and then dropping the bolt to load the pcc. When the buzzer goes off, I flip the safety off and fire my first shot. This is where it gets wierd, every stage I start after the first shot I have to rack the slide as the next round fails to go bang. Once I do that the gun runs like a champ. Does not matter which mag I'm using, it happens every stage. I have tried downloading the mags thinking it might be part of the problem. Does not change the issue. Cleaned the gun within an inch of its life and still persists at matches. After the last deep cleaning and lubing I went to the range and the issue did NOT happen but I was just loading mags and standing and shooting. Went to the next match, same issue came back. Was talking to a buddy and he thought it might be an over insertion issue. I thought if the glock mags were worn where the mag catch engages the mag that might cause the mag to seat too deep and cause this issue. I am posting a video of a mag in the lower and showing how much it moves. Looking to get the gun back to a reliable state. Also changed or firing pins and fp springs. Same issue still happens. Looking for things to examine to see what I can do to fix this issue.http://cloud.tapatalk.com/s/5c50a88abaacb/20190129_142229.mp4 Sent from my LG-H872 using Tapatalk
  11. Thanks. I kept thinking I was using the wrong word but my feeble brain just could not get to the right word. Lol Sent from my LG-H872 using Tapatalk
  12. Not sure if this is allowed but I'll try. I posted this in the gunsmithing section of this forum. figured I would ask you guys here as well. here is the link
  13. Just to be on the safe side, I did go ahead and changed out both of my FP with new ones from Wilson. I will be going to the range Sat to test both guns. should the extractor be at 90 degrees to the plane of the lower receiver? The extractor is tight in the channel. Not sure how the extractor would have gotten bent. Would swapping out bolts from the diamondback pcc (which looks almost like an exact copy of the psa bolt) cause that issue?
  14. I have not adjusted the ejector. I had swapped the bolt from my diamondback to the psa while I was waiting for firing pin springs to be delivered after I broke the FP spring. When I was cleaning the guns, I took FP out of the bolts on both guns. Both of the pins caps were mushroomed. I went a head and changed them both out with new wilson FP and springs.
  15. Was cleaning my pc's and discovered the gouge in the extractor. Any ideas on what might have caused this? The gun was acting up. Load a mag, pull the trigger, it goes bang then next shot no bang. Rack the slide and the gun works great rest of the stage. Odd thing is my diamondback pcc which has been running flawlessly started doing the same thing. I cleaned it from top to bottom and it shows no odd wear. In the past when this gun fubars it need a good cleaning and all is well. The psa is a newer gun used as my backup. Anyway. Looking forward to reading responses and questions. 16. here is the TF video for the follower Here is the video for the glock tube clean up from MBX I did both of these modifications and my mags have run fine. The only issue I have had is one of the tubes got torqued out of square and the follower would not work properly. Replaced the tube and all was fine
  17. TF pads do not have to be altered. The inconsistency in glock mag products is what has to be addressed. Taran tactical says to clean up the bottom of glock mags. So does mbx. So do several other companies who make extensions for glock mags. You specifically said that you posted questions on a forum about TF products. Not sure it was here or somewhere else that you posted your questions. You implied that because TF never responded to you that somehow they had an inferior product. Stating that pretty much is throwing TF under the bus. You can say whatever you want to try to justify yourself to yourself. The proof is in the words you posted. Sent from my LG-H872 using Tapatalk
  18. He states that oal for all his glock mag extenders. BTW. if you are not wanting to use the Goliath I would be interested in buying from you.
  19. I do not believe that Robin monitors these pages. I had some issues earlier this year. left a phone message for him. He took time out from his vacation to call me and to then call the office to have them ship me springs. Don't throw TF under the bus just because Robin did not read a comment hear or somewhere. Calling them works wonders. They are very nice and truly want shooters to enjoy their product. BTW. I use 3 of the +10 pads. 2 on my 33 round mags and 1 on my 17 round mag. After following the video's instructions to clean up the bottom of the glock mags and some small work on the followers mine work 100 percent. I am actually thinking of converting one of my mags over to the new big extension TF just released.
  20. not sure of the weight but I use the TF 40+1 pads on my glock mags and they take a licking and keep on ticking. I am actually looking at ordering one of the TF Goliath 51+1 pads due to the change in the attachment and assembly / cleaning ease.
  21. Update. It wasn't the pin. Though I still need back ups. It was the spring. So now I need to know is where to find fp springs Sent from my LG-H872 using Tapatalk
  22. Well it finally happened. I broke my firing pin on my pcc. Need to order a replacement ASAP! SO, the question to all my PCC shooting buddies is this, TACCOM ? WILSON COMBAT ? CMMG ? OTHER (list in your response) ? I am NOT shooting a JP, so from what I understand, the JP pin will not work in my BCG. If anyone knows where I can get one (or 3) locally that would be even better.
