  1. these and the DAA racers are my front runners. the thing I like about these is I can order them as just the pouch and use my retention device to attach to the belt. AND they are carbon fiber, which kinda cool too!
  2. What are your opinions of the CR SPEED VERSA POUCH? https://www.doublealpha.biz/cr-speed-versa-pouches The race masters at 60.00 is too much to pay. What about the racers? https://www.doublealpha.biz/racer-pouch
  3. I like the fact that they are right in my back yard, so to speak. BUT DAMN, they are proud of their product. 45.00 for a mag pouch with just a belt clip is pretty expensive.
  4. I am an 8 MOS FF3 guy. like the size and easy to pick up in various light conditions.
  5. I wish I had known you were going to be there I would have looked for you. What squad were you assigned to shoot? Is there a particular blade tech model?
  6. Title pretty much says it all. I have been using Ghost pouches and I have broken 2 of them in less than a month. I have set up one big stick with a TF +10 and a 17 rd with a TF + 12 and the ghost pouch connection point is just not strong enough to support all that weight extended so far out. I would like to find a pouch that is deeper and has a better connection point to the belt attachment system. They also need to have the ability to rotate to different angles. If you know of something please pass it along. Pics of the pouch AS WELL AS how the pouch connects to the belt holder would be nice as well. Thanks
  7. I use the same crimson trace for odd angles and real close stuff. Green is what I use so I can see both thru my optic and decide what I want to use for particular target . Sent from my LG-H872 using Tapatalk
  8. I put the talon tungsten grey 45/90 on my pcc with a hiperfire 24 3g trigger. It works fine, Hiperfire states on their site that the talon I have is not supposed to work. Not sure how old that data is but all I know is it is working for me. Reason I say that is the strike safety may work. I just looked over the strike industries site. I do not see any mention that the safety will not work with the hiperfire's never mind, just saw it.
  9. from what I remember reading, the heavier toggle springs also increases the hammer fall strength. Meaning, the silver springs cause the hammer to strike harder. IF I find heavier springs, that would cause the hammer to fall even harder. PCC's already have some history with breaking firing pins. I can just see having to change out a pin mid match. Nice thought, but not sure if that is the fix. It is worthy of keeping in consideration.
  10. ok guys, This is starting to turn into a thread about the pros and cons of anti walk pins. I am all for information and discussion, I would just like to keep it on point... meaning, OUTSIDE of anti walk pins, is there another way to get a hiperfire FCG down under 2 pounds of pull? SO, does anyone have any experience changing out the hammer or trigger springs OR modifying the supplied springs to reduce pull weight? would polishing the assembly help in smoothing out the surfaces to get the pull weight down since friction would be decreased?
  11. Less crisp? that sounds like adding the pins added creep to the trigger. I am for lighter trigger, that is the point of my post, but not to the detriment of adding creep to the pull. One of the things I like is that there is basically ZERO creep and a defined crisp break at the wall. I use the silver springs on my trigger and like the overall feel. I just want it lighter. kinda like a 1911 trigger at 1.5 pounds; Less finger muscle needed so I can tap it and my old arthritic fingers can hopefully keep up with those young whipper-snappers.
  12. in what way? and, do the pins SPECIFICALLY help or hurt hiperfires?
  13. I was going to ask the same question.... I was doing some research on the interweb and you beat me to the question.
  14. I love my hiperfire hipertouch 24 3g trigger. I would love it more if I could get the trigger pull to sub 2 pounds Does anyone have any suggestions on how one would go about getting the pull lighter?\ Changing the hammer spring? Changing the trigger spring? IF yes, what springs and where to get them? Would you polish / stone any parts of the FCG? Looking forward to your responses. Mark
  15. I have a 24-3g I got from optics planet thinking it was going to be the old style. It was the new one as well. It was straight forward install. Price at the time I ordered was less expensive than the old style. I was surprised to get the new for less. Sent from my LG-H872 using Tapatalk
  16. oh to be 25 years younger and have the equipment and knowledge we have now! LOL I could be a GM shooter, NOT!
  17. I wonder if the Ghost 360 pouches would work? They are very affordable and you get 2 in a pack and you can decide if you want bullets out or forward. AND if you reach out to AANDABOOKS he has a mount for 10.00 you can order to use both pouches they send you.
  18. MikieM, I'm willing to try it if you want to send me a lighter spring, HAHAHA. Honestly, I am happy with the setup as is. To experiment now, even though springs are inexpensive, is a cost I don't really want to do. BUT, like I said, If you want to send me a spring to try out and report back here on the forum I would be happy to do so. IF I like it, I'd pay you for the spring.
  19. curious, if I did go down in spring what are you expecting to be the result? An even lighter felt recoil? I already feel like the bolt is just getting back into battery fast enough now. Lightening the spring would slow the bolt down more wouldn't it?
  20. I handle the recoil on my Diamondback DB9R using a Blitzkrieg buffer and a JP 308 buffer spring. I am using the stock bolt and shooting 124 grain freedom munitions plated rounds. I have not chrono'd the rounds but they state they are 1060 fps from a pistol. This setup is very accurate for my pcc. The stock buffer and spring had quite a snap on both ends. The hit to the shoulder was very noticeable as well as the RTB. That is almost non existent now.
  21. Just shot this one at my clubs indoor match here in ATL. I shot it sitting down with a PCC using my dot. I had all A hits in 7.34 seconds for a HF of 4.0872 and 53.08% for a C. we had 27 folks shoot the stage. I finished 1st overall. Almost half the squad posted a 0 for the stage. LOTS of MIKES. Most everyone shot it sitting down. One would waste too much time trying to take it standing. and at a full 10 yards those head shots are aweful small targets. (kinda glad for the GADAPA match I shoot on occasion. They use these micro poppers that you REALLY have to Aim Small / Miss Small)
  22. Nice shooting tonight. You came in 3rd overall and 1st in production. It was kinda nice to not have jack there, LOL, gave me a chance to place a bit higher in the ranks.LOL I actually won the classifier with a 4.0872 HF for a C ranking. More than half the squad ZEROED the stage due to mikes. Hey I'll take my victories where I can get them.
