  1. I see on cz customs website they say remove material from forward face OR Lower leading corner. Has anyone only removed material from lower leading corner? seems like the easier fix. EDIT: after a bit closer of an inspection is seemed that the outside of the wing was ever so slightly hanging up on the trigger bow. Hit the outside of the wing with a few passes of 600 grit and it is functioning perfectly. We shall see.
  2. Hey guys Did a little bit of work on my shadow 2 tonight and now I'm having some problems with my double action hammer not dropping. Heres what I did. added CGW reduced trigger return spring floating trigger pin And CGW short reset Disco. Now when I pull my double action trigger it doesn't drop. Single action is fine, and everything else seems ok. If I jerk the trigger hard I can get the double action to drop, but thats the only way. How do I go about fixing this problem? Thanks.
  3. Getting up there in round count since I got my shadow 2 in November (about 10k). I've broken down and cleaned the hammer and sear assembly once so far, but have not ever broken down any of the trigger parts, mag catch springs etc. Was wondering from any of you who have more rounds through yours when is a good time for a complete breakdown and cleaning? also are there any parts I might want to think about replacing? thanks in advance.
  4. Mine runs flawlessly with 11.5 spring. Factory 124 CCI ammo.
  5. Got a buddy who shoots one of these. Its not a great gun as far as 2011s go but for the money its actually pretty damn nice. https://spspistols.eagleimportsinc.com/spspistols/firearms/sps-pantera-series EDIT: there where several around about a month ago but the supply seems to be currently be dried up.
  6. Blazer Brass for me. 124gn. You can find it for under $200 for 1000 on the interwebs. I shoot lite hammer spring and have no problem with the CCI primers either. outdoorlimited.com is my go to. Always in stock and fantastic service.
  7. Get to the range and shoot and quit working so much! I think I know who you are. ha ha

    shadow 2 crack?

Damn thats good news!!! Was looking at it last night with a photographers loop and I still couldn't tell if it was a crack or not. I was begging to think it had to be.

    shadow 2 crack?

Boy...mine sure looks and feels like a crack. Are you positive? In fact if you look right on the edge at the pin stop there almost looks like a secondary crack starting at the edge also. And what worries me is that its definitely a spot of repeated impact.

    shadow 2 crack?

Was on the shadow 2 facebook page and a guy posted a pic of a possible crack on his slide. It was followed by several other photos of people with the same crack. so I decided to have a look at mine and voila there it was. Not completely sure but it DOES look like a crack to me. Any of you guys on this forum have this possible problem? Right side of where pin stop goes at back of slide.
  11. Went ahead and ordered an extended firing pin. Hopefully that will be the answer. we shall see. Really would rather not go back to the 13# hammer spring. I was liking the 11.5# a lot. It made a big difference in DA pull.
  12. No. I've been running it with the stock firing pin and up until now it has been running just fine. Maybe 2 light strikes in the last 3 thousand rounds. I'm wondering if the pin spring may have compressed enough that its not pushing the pin all the way up through the pin stop. And go figure theres a great indoor match coming up in exactly one week. I'd love to figure this out in a hurry. maybe I should just go ahead and order some new pin springs and the extended pin?
  13. Hey guys, Ive been running my shadow 2 now for about 3k rounds with a CGW 11.5# hammer spring with a CGW light pin spring and stock firing pin. I've been using Bazer brass 124gn factory ammo the whole time and it has been running pretty well. Maybe 2 light strikes over the 3k rounds. Since receiving a new batch of Blazers I've had 6 or 7 light stikes in about 300 of those rounds. The fp seems to be riding very low in the gun (almost flush) with the pin stop, but I seem to remember it always being that way. I'm wondering if any of you think it might be time for a new firing pin spring or is it more likely I've got a batch of ammo (CCI) with some unusually hard primers? This problem has really only started with the last order of ammo I've received. How many rounds is a good rule of thumb for replacing a light pin spring ? Thanks.
  14. It's the middle finger from hitting the underside of the trigger guard. In fact after the first dry fire session when I bought the gun I actually rubbed the skin off of my knuckle. It was very painful at first but like I said, now I am developing quite a callous.
  15. I'm actually developing a pretty large callus finally so its not really painful anymore. Was more curious if others have had the same problem.
  16. I have not yet. Why do you think they might help? I do have large meat hooks so......maybe its worth a try.
  17. I'm using LOK grips. The thin bogies. Developing a nasty callous on my knuckle where I believe its hitting the bottom of the trigger guard on my draw. I thought I was possibly catching it on the edge of the kydex of my Blade Tech holster so I dremeled it down a bit. it didn't help. I'm still hitting the trigger guard to the point that it sometimes gets sore during dry fire. By the lack of responses it looks like I am the only one.
  18. Trying to figure out if its my Shadow 2 causing this or if its possible my Blade Tech holster. Is anyone else getting "Glock knuckle" with their shadow 2s? I thought possibly it was my holster causing the problem but after a bit of dremmel work on the holster the problem persists. Anyone else having this problem?
  19. This is the video I watched the first time I broke down my shadow 2. Great video.
  20. 11/16 to be exact. Shipped out of Wisconsin. 4500 rounds so far. Running like a champ. On a side note, I will keep running this gun with the shock buffers. haha Edit: #247 stamped on my frame for what its worth.
  21. I've had my S2 now for about 3 months. Mine DOES have the cuts.
  22. Thats what must be happening but damn the the reset is so short its hard to believe. Happened again last night. .
  23. Got a question for you CZ experts. I've had my shadow 2 now for a couple of months maybe 3k rounds. On the last 2 sessions I have either picked up a bad habit or there might be something going on with my pistol? On at least 3 occasions my single action reset has failed. I was wondering if this is most definitely human error, or is it possible that something mechanical was preventing the single action pull from resetting. Am I not letting my finger off the trigger enough for the reset, or can it be something else? Can this even happen with anything other than human error? It has only happened when I've been shooting fast so it is impossible for me to tell. It always shoots on the next pull. Thanks in advance.
  24. Got a quick question regarding USPSA match scores. Obvious the winner gets 100% "%" of points, but what does the line "% possible" (always lower than %) represent? Curious. Probably something very obvious, but I'm not understanding what it stands for. Thanks in advance.
