  1. Yes, all machine work and coatings .
  2. Slide weight is about 10 oz. Need a good scale to weigh it on. No popple holes. Resisting the urge to add them until I shoot it in competition. In practice is doing great. Tried some #7 powder and it seems even better than HS6. Only shot a few of them though.
  3. Well 98%. Lost the screws out of the front trigger guard and still need a mag release button. CK frame and slide EGW fire control Brazos Thundercomp SX2 Trubore Dawson Big hands magwell
  4. The Dawson extended will take care of that. Exactly what mine looked like before installing an extended pin. For some reason the extended pin cuts back on primer flow. What load are you using?
  5. Do you know what happened Sarge? Very interesting.
  6. The XDM is a fully supported case unlike the Glock?? Scott at Springer has not said anything against it other than the 5.25 with a comp will be pretty long?
  7. Angles are easy! Get on Amazon and for 39 bucks get a set of angle plates. They come in a set from 1 degree on up. Then take a universal indicator attached to the quil/spindle and you can indicate your vise in any angle you want. Just use the surface of the angle plate clamped in your vise to get the right angles on the vise. You can also use the angle plates to set the angle of your slide or jig in your mill vise. Will take a pic tomorrow and show how I did it.
  8. Glad you got it figured out! I used a ball end mill and clearances the bottom of my comp similar to how an STI DVC is. Basically a round Grove for the reverse plug. I also chamfered the plug as well.
  9. Anyone run one in Open? Thinking about converting my CO to Open for a backup to my 2011. KKM barrel , short comp and 2 popple holes in barrel, 9major. Add a magwell and it will be a backup, but easy to convert back to CO.
  10. What firing pin are you using? I had to go to an extended firing pin and have had no issues since. And of course, make sure there is no drag on firing pin stop or in firing pin hole in breech face.
  11. CK frame and slides. Great people to do business with! EGW internals and fire control. I use Brazos, Shooters Connection, Speed Shooters intl, Freedom armory and the CK bunch. If I ever try anything other than CK, it will be JEM. KKM or Trubor Barrels. Like the idea of Trubor comp being part of the barrel, nothing to loosen up.
  12. Equipment is more, ammo is about the same as my CO. Little more if I shoot jacketed. So far, a magazine of jacketed during practice cleans out any residue in comp from running Blue Bullets. I was skeptical at first, but it does work, so ammo is same price basically, since it is 9 major
  13. Hmmm, start with an Alpha X insert! Good idea.
  14. Any design and machine/build their own holster for an open Pistol? My mill keeps calling my name...
  15. I ran pretty much the same powders and weights through my Brazos Thundercomp SX2 Trubore today. No silhouette and 10.2 on the AA 7. HS6 and AA7 are close. The edge on my double tap drill went to AA7. Great feel and flat! WAC had a lot of wiggle and rise. Probably not enough to work the comp on the Brazos Thundercomp.
  16. I have always liked the full length dust covers!
  17. I shoot CO and as a first year shooter in Bclass I try to shoot with A'S and M's if possible. I learn more from them than the GM'S. Maybe because they are trying to improve like I am and seem more willing to discuss strategies etc. Not many GMs in my matches anyway and they are usually squadded before I get to sign up.
  18. Thanks for the thoughts! Started practicing with my Open pistol and I do seem to shoot it better at speed for the reasons you stated. Sticking with CO as my main gun till I reach a goal I have set. May start picking up an extra match each month with the open pistol though.
  19. If so, which gun do you shoot better at speed? Which class do you feel is more challenging?
  20. Definitely messed up in my opinion. Looking at the top 20, there are Masters with higher scores than some of the GM's.... Weird. Not that there is any danger of me being anywhere near the top any time soon. Long way through the B rank...
  21. Hmm, I do believe the snap is the result of the arms/gun moving before my eyes focus on the next target. Also noticed my reloads on the move are happening at the end of the move to next stage, I got to work on Reloading as I start out of a stage.
  22. Great advice! Thanks for posting. I just started USPSA this year in CO and just made B Class. I REALLY want to hit A class by my one year anniversary in April's matches. After watching my videos lately and some A class shooters s well, I have noticed the same thing. On a 3-4 target array, there shots are almost seamless, mine are bang,bang.......bang,bang,,,,,,,,,,bang,bang. I seem to jerk to each target from a dead stop, snap to next target, stop, snap to next target. I need to work on that fluid transition.
