I dry fired this week but due to falling through a scaffold and bruising and lacerating my hip I kept a holster off my belt .
  2. + 1 on high primers or are you using Winchester White box ammo?.Both have given me light strikes before.
  3. I'm up at 1:45 every morning.I'll sleep when I'm dead.
  4. A very good movie. It has a very humorous scene in the first part.
  5. The caffeine is what I love about Diet Mountain Dew.This morning I had a 20oz Dew and 2 Red Bulls
  6. There is one club in this area that does just that. Also for the one year when we(Chattanooga Rifle Club)were an IDPA club it was optional. CRC nolonger IDPA? Did not know that. It lasted one year. Now it is run what you brung, hicaps are allowed with IDPA targets and scoring. It seems O'Neal uses the same COFs every month.Which is one reason I have shot there only 3 times this year.
  7. That is better than the original version.
  8. I think I know which site that is the official magazine of.

I hate when a gun goes bad on you.I was practicing with my Ruger 22/45 today and started getting light strikes.I have had it for 10 yrs and it was well used when I bought it.I would say over 50k rds have gone through it since I got it.Anyway I got around to sighting in my slug barrel and I did not remember how hard slugs recoil from a bench rest but i got it sighted in 2 inches high at 50 yds with the last 4 rds in one ragged hole.I didn't think a rifled choke tube was that accurate. This week I will dry fire and work on draws and reloads and try to get in a live practice.
  11. He is the best this sport has ever seen, especialy with iron sights.A book would be great.
  12. Feels good don't it?.I remember once I beat Rick Castelow on a stage and was pleased(He was shooting a single stack however). But on the next stage he pulled out the whoop ass and smoked everybody including the Open shooters, two of which were Masters.
  13. Don't overlook the plain old pushup. You can vary your hand positions and even do lateral movement in the down position.
  14. I agree with Aikidale and apples should be coming in from harvest real soon.I personally like the Jona Golds

I went to the range in the Prentice Cooper WMA early this morning.I was the only one there as is usually the case on a weekday morning. It was pouring rain but I enjoy the ride up there and back through the mountain gorge.I worked on target transitions and reloads. Not a bad session and I also picked up a lot of brass which was the real reason for going up there.
  16. I sure do miss those days........even Guncraft would pack 40 people in that small place at night....... DaG I miss Guncraft as well,Two 30 rd stages and a classifier that rarely ever got turned in to USPSA.But it was fun and Bill and Robert were good people.
  17. Hang in there,it will get better.I have been there and it sucks.Construction is a up and down business. It will be booming in one part of the country and stale in another.Luckily it is booming here where I live.
  18. I started dipping at age 14.Through the years I would stop for a few weeks and then start again.I finally quit 2 years ago after 27 years and have not had a dip since. There are times when I want one but it soon passes.Keep it up every one,you can do it.
  19. The winner of the Masters golf tournament is presented with a green jacket.Since this is an IDPA style match then I think a green jacket(cover garment) would have been appropiate
  20. Sounds like it was a good match. Was it sanctioned by IDPA?.

I did not get to practice this past week or do any dry firing.I hate it when work and life get in the way of the fun stuff.I have half a notion to shoot the Tennessee state IDPA match next month so I may start practicing toward that.I have shot the last two so why break the streak?.I will try to dry fire this week and get in a live practice if I can.

  23. I hope it is better than Death Sentence.
  24. The SO is not doing his job if he loads someone up with people down range. After making the call on the last target he should remain down range and make sure it is clear when he comes back to the line.As for the finger that is the SO's job to call.Perhaps after the shooter finishes you could mention what you saw to the SO.
