  1. Light of Day,I don't know why Joan Jett has not done any more acting. She did a good job in this movie. The scene where she reconciles with her dieing mother is a real tear jerker.

  3. Well,Hell. The f**%$#g scores were not sent in. It will only be 3 weeks till they are updated again.
  4. I don't see it either.I'm waiting on my lowly C class L10 debut. Some of you have got your cards for this month.Maybe they have not reached the south east yet.
  5. The gun was unloaded,he had read the course descripion. The first shooter up was loading his mags and had not stepped up to the line.
  6. Does it start after you sign up,squad up and report to the first stage or is it when the first shooter loads and makes ready?.The reason I ask this is as follows. After squading up and going to the first stage and looking over the course description the RO goes to a prone position to get a idea how far back to lay, when he rolls over to get up his gun falls out of his holster. His comment is since the match has not started and he is the RO that he will retrive the gun and reholster. So,has the match started and can a RO retrive his own dropped gun?.The guy was a stickler for the rules the rest of the match and the whole time I am wondering if the guy should have been DQed at the start.BTW he was not the only certified RO in the squad, just the one that was in charge of the squad that day so someone else could have retrived the gun.
  7. Chattanooga,Tn.Started practical shooting in 98.Limited C,Limited 10 C.Until I started this sport I was more of a gun owner than a shooter.I have fired more rounds since 98 than I have in all my other years combined.I wish I had started 12 years earlier,They had a local club here that put on really good matches. Now days you have to drive to Oak Ridge,Nashville,or Atlanta. 8. Be sure that you store the "HOT SHOTS" targets in a dry place. Our storage building has a leak and the targets will curl over real easy.Even with the plastic wrap still around them. They were cheap though.
  9. Damn,That posted weird.Oh well,It is all there.Enjoy
  10. Here is my result of many pots of chili. 2.5 lbs of lean ground chuck 1 16 oz can of chopped tomatoes 2 medium chopped onions 2 16 oz cans of red kidney beans 8 oz chopped green chilies 2 stalks of chopped celery 1 red and 1 yellow chopped bell pepper 1 tblspn cummin 1 tblspn celantro 1 tblspn oregeno 1 tblspn paprika 1 tblspn cayenne pepper or 1 tspn,up to you 4 tblspns chili powder 1 long neck Bud Brown the chuck in a deep skillet, then add the onions and celery, blend them together.Cover and let simmer for 20 mins.Drain the water and grease of the chuck and onion/celery and put them in the pot.Add the tomatoes, bell peppers, chilies and the beans with the juice drained off the beans.Stir all this together and add the spices 1 at a time and stir well after each one.Pour in the beer and cover.Cook on hi for 1 hour and turn it down to simmer for 2 more hours.Stir the pot every 30 mins.I almost forgot, add salt to your taste.I like only 1 tsp per batch or you could leave it out of the cooking and add it when you eat. This is my personal favorite recipe,I have made chili with beans and with out, with beer and without and I prefer them both in my chili. I use a large crock pot,but any pot or dutch oven will do.
  11. Before they stopped publishing the first time,Gungames was the best mag out as far as covering IPSC/USPSA.After they came back though it was pitiful.I still read the old mags from time to time.
  12. Some of those girls practice unsafe gun handling.Maybe they need an instructor.I will be the first volunteer.

How do you break up a Taliban bingo game?.Call out B52.Why are there no Walmarts in Afganistan?.They have a Target on every corner.

    GUNGAMES

I will miss them. They published every critical letter that I sent them. The mag was just not the same after they came back.
  15. Then you have the guy who has a miss and tells his RO buddy that one of those holes looks like a double.Of course the RO buddy agrees. One time I was the only one pasteing targets and a guy misses and hits a no-shoot,when we go to score they count the hits and there is one missing.I simply point at the hit on the no-shoot and the shooter says that was there before and that one of the hits on the target is a double.Like I said I was the only one tapeing and there was no hole on the no-shoot before he started. It was a classifier so I guess he needed the score.
  16. Quote: from Ron Ankeny on 12:04 pm on Dec. 16, 2001 Keep in mind that the COF is intended to be shot on turning targets so the times are very misleading. For all practical purposes, you can add a second to the times if you use a stationary target. Why would the times be slower for a stationary target?. (Edited by et45 at 9:01 pm on Dec. 29, 2001)
  17. What is the link to the tests?. I have not been able to find it.
  18. FWIW guys the doctor I saw today was a orthopedic surgeon who is with the local sports medicine group. If your insurance will allow it(some companys make you get a referral)I would suggest going straight to a orthopedic doctor.I got the full treatment(x-rays,cortisone shot, list of exersises and arm band. Also they told me to be aggresive with the exersises, not so much with a lot of weight but to do them twice a day.BTW,My elbow is sore as hell from the shot.
  19. Well I guess I can join the ranks of the Tennis Elbow sufferers.About 2 weeks ago I had this severe pain in the side of the right elbow. It was just today that I was able to get a doctors appointment.Like some of you have posted he gave me a cortisone shot and a list of exersizes to do and a band to wear.I am sure this was brought on by the type of work I do(brick and block laying). So far it has not hurt my shooting.I just hope it doesn't last too long.

I heard a similer version to that one.A monk enters a strict monastary, complete silence you can only speak two words a year on New Years Eve.The first year he says "food bad",the next year he says "bed hard",and the next year he states proudly "I leave".The head monk says "Well I am not surprised,You have done nothing but complain since you have been here."
