  1. Yes easily! The JP buffer system is tunable the MPX isn’t. The felt recoil between the two rifles is negligible. (Personal opinion)
  2. I have both guns you mention now for over a year. I had to spend a ton on the MPX to get it reliable (Gen2) and the parts and magazines are all very expensive. Once I got it done the MPX shot well. The GMR-15 was awesome right out of the box with one exception, weight (personal opinion from a 160 lb shooter. So I changed the hand guard out for a carbon fiber one along with the required new barrel nut. The factory trigger is amazing and my pull is at 2.75 lbs with no take up or over travel. It is my go to gun in all situations. Easy to clean and maintain and factory support is second to none. I also tried a lighter weight barrel (BSF carbon fiber tension barrel) and found it made the gun too light in front, so I stayed with the stock JP barrel which is very accurate. My JP weights in a 6.6lbs as shown but with the stock JP barrel. Hope this helps.
  3. Blitz buffer JP 308 carbine spring .785 delrin spacer with H7 25lb wave spring and Taccom rubber end cap on the wave spring. Since this is my competition rifle I don't want LRBHO. Works very well and very soft shooting as well. Have gone to a Vortex Razor 3moa red dot and saved another 3.oz in weight as well for total rifle weight. Rifle is JP GMR-15 based.
  4. Have to say I disagree HoMie, no disrespect of course but I have thousands of rounds through my rifle with using the stock buffer tube and no problems what ever. Just an FYI
  5. Thanks guys got it handled! Appreciate the feed back.
  6. Hey guys, anyone know where the best deal on the above site would be? Anyone own one they want to sell? Any discount coupons out there? Any help would be greatly appreciated. TIA 10Cup
  7. Taccom 9mm rifle bolt with Tungsten key upgrade. $149 new. Used to test with different buffers. In perfect, like new, condition. Offering for sale for $110 shipped in CONUS PayPal preferred https://imgur.com/Vg5ijwK https://imgur.com/flmmAQF https://imgur.com/Lv36i4S
  8. This is total bull shit pal. I shoot this ammo exclusively and have never had any of the problems you claim to have had. Get a life
  9. Looking to buy a Vortex Razor red dot in 3moa. Anyone know of any on line discount codes? TIA Mike
  10. Yes the barrel nut is proprietary and you will need a different barrel nut if changing the hand guard.
  11. Wondering if anyone is having problems reaching the 5.11 tactical company? I have had an exchange into them for over a month with confirmed receipt but I cannot reach anyone at this company. Phone is always busy and the email defaults to just order tracking! Very frustrating. Any ideas on how to reach them? Thanks.
  12. Love my GMR-15 but have always felt it had too much weight out over the barrel for me. So I change the barrel to a BSF tension barrel and the hand guard to a ICGW (Mark Isler) carbon fiber hand guard. I saved 8 oz on the barrel and another 6 oz on the hand guard. Very please with how it turned out and it is still a nail driver. Here a couple of photos of my rig.
  13. Do you even own a GMR?
  14. I think that anyone who shoots a lot(especially in competition) is going to have issues that require you to clear the chamber at times. The hole being there and if the bullet or casing goes in it will end your match. The time it takes to clear is a game killer. So from my perspective (I shoot USPSA PCC class) I want to eliminate anything that degrades or can degrade reliability and filling the hole has given this too me. If I get a failure to feed or whatever at least it doesn't end my match this way. Just my personal experience. The GMR is about as close to perfect as you can get an AR 9mm and this just makes it that much more reliable.
  15. Not true!
  16. Yes it is the Taccom mag well. Works very well and is very light though not the best looking. But can't complain it works.
  17. Yes just fill it flush with the top like the hole was never milled and it will be perfect. Let the epoxy set for 24 hours.
  18. Yes, after trying all the different weights/223 springs etc., I found the Blitzkrieg hydraulic buffer with JP 308 rifle spring and wave spring (M11) was much better than the SCS, at least for me and my load.
  19. Yes, JP said it is a lightening hole only and to fill it with epoxy which I did (JB Weld) works fine now and no more worries. Gun is flawless ever sense.
  20. Here ya go, just changed mine out too. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0051XXWEC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  21. Sweet set up Tim, I might have to try a MPX. What would your 8" barrel and mid braked shroud cost and when available? What else have you done to the MPX? Thanks
