It has been rock solid through two USPSA seasons and hours of dry fire reload practice. It is a very tight and fits perfectly. I did have the same concern as you though and did put a very small spot of JBWeld at the very back of it. Don't really know if it is necessary but I have had zero problems with it and love size and how it helps with very quick reloads. I have no horse in this just actual experience.

Yes you can correct it but I have my JP short stroked to the max( much more that the JP short stroke kit) and still the stock trigger works 100% with 2.75lb pull, zero take up and zero over travel. I really see no reason to change it works so well.

The stock trigger in the GMR-15 is the JP "Easy Trigger" and when using the yellow springs with some armite lead based sear grease that came with my rifle, my pull weight is 2.75lb. I believe the new modular triggers are advertised at 3.5lbs but I have not got my hands on one yet. The stock easy trigger is so good I really don't care. I did try a Hyperfire Eclipse and I would get some failure to cock or bolt follow so I went back to the stock trigger. I do wish they offered a straight trigger shoe like they offer on the new modular triggers for the Easy Trigger but only the roller trigger is available which I do not want for USPSA matches.

The Wilson does not shoot better than the JP.

The Wilson shoots very well but does not offer the adjustable buffer system that the JP has. You can tune your Ammo for it however if you reload. The Wilson is a good quality rifle and well balanced. The JP is slightly heavier but well balanced as well. Wilson has done some things to their rifle that makes getting parts available only from Wilson. Their lower is not mill spec. I found this out when I tried to put a different upper on it and the hole spacing is different. The Wilson trigger is not nearly as good as the JP stock trigger. I tried a hyper fire trigger and it would not fit. The Wilson buffer tube has a rubber bumper made into it that is not removable. I had to change the buffer tube in order to try the JP SCS buffer. I just got frustrated with the Wilson. No one makes a mag well for it either.

I live about 60 miles from Wilson Combat my self and have shot there AR9 for over a year. At the time they didn't even have part numbers assigned to the maintenance parts IE firing pins, roll pins etc. I called and tried to order some roll pins for the extractor and spring powered ejector and was told that they didn't ship those parts and I would have to send my rifle in for them to put two roll pins in my bolt..............not kidding..........I said no thanks and bought a JP GMR-15. Haven't shot the Wilson since and love the JP and it is a much better value. Actual experience with both rifles now for over a year, I would buy the JP and not waste my money on the Wilson AR9.

I was one of the initial testers on the Biltz 5015HD buffer in my JP GMR-15. I found more dot movement than with the 5015HD buffer no matter which spring (JP polished rifle or carbine) I used so ended up staying with the 5007 buffer. Bolt was stock JP and does not have a weight in it. Results would be different with different bolts obviously. I also short stroke my rifle by .750 and use a 25lb wave spring in the rear behind the delrin spacer.

I tried an Elftman and returned it due to the same reason. Went with a Hyperfire 24c problem solved.

Same here 510C is the way to go. I sold my MRO. I like the red dot as close to the rail as possible for less offset on close shots. My tournament scores also improved with the 510C

Eric, I find your comment about the JP misleading, can you explain. If you were referring the MPX then I totally understand. The JP does not need upgrades to make them better unless you just want to remove some weight. The MPX needs a lot of upgrades and also is very front heavy in stock form so would like to hear your comments. Thanks.
