  1. i havent measured the two but some say the tanfo spring is softer than the CGW one.
  2. Stuart is the new adjustable rear sight taller than the factory fixed shadow rear?
  3. Anyone know if this sight will work with SP base pads and still fit in the box?
  4. Heres what dave told me about my stock 2 barrels. hate to be the bearer of bad news, but our Throater will not work with either of your two barrels. Specifically, both barrels are hard-chrome-plated--High Speed Steel reamers will not cut hard-chrome. I'm not sure you'd want to cut through the plating anyway because bits of it could flake off during firing once the surface layer was compromised. Secondly, the bore (land-to-land) diameter is undersize from standard. SAAMI and CIP spec for 9mm bore is .3460" minimum. In order to fit this spec, we grind pilots on our 35 Pistol Throaters to .3455"/.3450". Your barrel's bore is .3418", more than .004" smaller than it's supposed to be and the pilot won't enter it.
  5. I wish I knew all this going into it. This is the first time I've seen this topic in the thread.
  6. Makes sense now. I thought it was catching up because there was a slight ring forming in the barrel where it looked like the throater was bottoming out. If dave mods my throater to work with my stock 2 barrels will I still be able to ream my cz barrels with it?
  7. I recently ordered a throat reamer from Dave for my stock 2 barrels. After 100 turns I could only get an extra .010 for a whopping 1.075 using xtreme 124fp. Dave had me send the barrels in with the reamer to see what the issue is. I'm still waiting for a response.
  8. I have 6 sets of lee dies that I use on my 650/550. sometimes you just have to use the Dillon nuts and put them on the bottom side of the shell plate. No biggy
  9. i have a fcd in station 4 but it does nothing because my lee seating die removed the bell. I have the seating die backed all the way out to keep from crimping but it still removes the bell and leave the diameter at .376 which works just fine, so no crimp required. I guess I leave a fcd in station for as a just in case although I set it so that with the ram all the way up it touches the bullet then I back it of a quarter turn.
  10. I went ahead and ordered a reamer today for my 3 CZ's and 2 stock 2's. I had some 124fp extremes loaded at 1.060 and they were still hitting the rifling.
  11. Thanks for the help. I emailed him and got the info I need.
  12. I always forget about the odd ball 357 sig
  13. Ok makes sense now. I was thinking 357 mag.
  14. I can only load 40 to 1.160 before they don't fit in my ts mag. So I highly doubt a 357 will fit
  15. Where do yall buy your reaming equipment from? I have 4 that need done.
  16. 357 is legal for limited so I would imagine ppl will start building them as they prob offer an few extra rounds 8n the mag over a 40.
  17. Would that require a special mag. 357 is a lt longer than 9mm.
  18. The stand on the right is a quick change inline fabrication mount and it's more rock solid than the dillon mount. Two wing Nuys and I can change between my 550 and lee single stage.
  19. I have about 5k bullets on the bottom of mine and I placed felt bumpers on the back of the bench to make it firm against the wall when seating primers.
  20. The great thing about using the 85c is if the weight limit is lifted I can run the slide on my shadow lower.
  21. I have the gun but now it just game planning to get it set up with a little of wiggle room. I was planning on sanding down the plastic grips flat and applying grip tape but the plastic grips aren't solid so if I try to sand flat I will have a big hole in my grip. Realistically I want to be able to put aluminum grips on it but have to weight for milling for that. If I can run the gun without the rhs slide stop I will have a little more room for my grips.
  22. I think the scale grips will be to thick for my hands. I have to use the thin alum grips and even then my finger barely reaches the trigger.
