  1. You can cut a Q-tip and use it as a slave pin if you need one.
  2. It is addicting but also "expensive" if you know what I mean.
  3. I put a 13lb recoil spring in my M&P pro and the sights come back a lot quicker when using the 165's.
  4. Target - Ill be shooting at Talon. What squad are you going to join?
  5. ok thanks. I think I did order an 11lb as well but thought it would be to light.
  6. I bombed a classifier this last weekend. This was only my second ever match but on 4 stages I averaged a 4.5 hit factor and on the classifier where I told myself to slow down I had a .519 HF. Now I thought I read somewhere in the rule book that a classifier can be shot more than once for classification, but the first shoot is what counts towards the match score. Is this correct?
  7. Hello everyone, After spending tons of time on this site I figured I would finally join the great community. I've just recently started shooting USPSA due to the fact that I always told myself that the day I started reloading I would. I just got a Dillon 650 so its time to start slinging some lead. I've shot in 2 matches so far and shoot an m&p pro 9mm in the production class. I would love to get my hands on a cz shadow but have set a goal of at least C class before I do so. (unless one just so happens to fall on my lap ) If anyone is from the south GA / Valdosta area give me a shout. I plan on shooting Tallahassee and Gainesville, FL this weekend. Matt
  8. At the moment I'm trying to decide if I want to spend 1500 on a cz to continue to shoot production or send 1500 and get a limited major gun. I really like shooting production though because I feel like it takes more planning and there will always be tons of competition. It seems that every couple days I switch my mind to the other. I think I will stick to production and wait until I can make master and then go from there. All my friends shoot limited so there's always that peer pressure to shoot it as well.
  9. I like shooting production because like others have said; it takes more planning and good accuracy. Plus when I get hung up on a steel plate I get a recovery period once my 10 round mag runs out, as opposed to shooting 23 rounds and being really pissed off at a 4in plate at 20 yards
  10. Just don't be afraid to tell the RO and others that your new and they will help coach you along. If they call your name to shoot in I would say first 3 shooting spots on a stage, ask to shoot further in the rotation so you can watch the more experienced guys run the stage. My first match I didn't really speak up and found myself trying to run stages wide open and ended up shooting a target at 190. Just take it slow and watch the more experienced shooters plan and shoot stages.
  11. I shot CAPS last weekend. They shoot every third Saturday.
  12. Shot this classifier last weekend. I read the rules book afterwards and realized that the club had to much of the A zone covered up. I'm new but pretty sure that at least 25% of the A zone has to be available. Am I wrong?
  13. I tested 250 165's in my m&p pro 5'" and currently have3k on order. 2.7 gr of tightroup at 1.145 = 770fps. I haven't had any issues of yet and I'm gong to start experimenting with a 13lb and 15lb recoil spring to see how well I can tune the pistol to the load.
  14. I think ill go with the bulge kit just to be sure
  15. That's a cool idea. I just ordered a 650 and will rock the short tube until I can afford to buy a case feeder. I'm sure I wont be complaining since I'm coming from a single stage press.
