  1. Thank you for the responses. I'm gonna jump on it while I can. To good a deal to pass on.
  2. Anyone shot any of Gun Doc Custom(David Pruitt) guns when he was building them? Just trying to get an idea of what was liked or disliked about them. Have a chance to get my hands on one.
  3. not sure about the lefty but I'd give Angstadtarms a call and ask them. I have two of their PCC and love them.
  4. yep the SP are back up but the others are still 20 bucks. Thats a good deal. I use them in my 223 and 6.5CM and they work great.
  5. what did you have to do for that? I'm having the same issue with my Infinity. I doesn't fit with the steel grip.
  6. not to worried about the cost right now. Just trying to make an educated decision when I decide to get an open gun. I know that at some point something is going to break, that seems to be the nature of the game. Just trying to understand the reasons behind it and learn form others. After reading a little more on it, makes since. Now I just have to go down the rabbit hole of 9 or 38!! gotta get my hands on some to try out to decide.
  7. Ok, so still new at all this so I have to ask. Was reading up on open guns and have a couple questions about some comments on here. How does a slide stretch? I would think you would have to get it really hot for that to happen....When a slide cracks it's from the force of the recoil, correct? So how does running a lighter recoil spring help? Wouldn't that cause it to do more damage to the slide? And how does a hammer spring have anything to do with recoil or cracked slide? I didn't think it had anything to do with that, that is more for trigger weight.....Like I said I'm just trying to learn more about open guns, shoot limited right now but i'm sure I'll get the open bug one day. I kinda understand the trigger pull, there is more to it than just the hammer spring. What is the purpose of the light(7lbs) recoil spring? would a 10/11 be better? Never thought about the hammer spring having much to do with it?

  9. Picked up an mpx, looking forward to shooting it. Found a good deal on mags from gun mag warehouse.
  10. I have a 550 and 650. Ball is fine with 550 but roller is a must for the 650.
  11. I put them back in the safe, if I leave them laying out I'll forget where I put them.
  12. I'm running precision bullets 185gr with E3 and they don't smoke. Also use tightgroup with the 230 precision and no issues. I heard the newer ones(Gen2)have a better coating to them. Ran some SNS casting bullets with just the wax ring.....man do those smoke a lot. I'm sticking with the precision, have run 1000's of rounds with no issues so far.
  13. running 3.7 for minor and 4.0 for major at 1.180. Precision bullet 185. Works great in my Akai and Infinity.
  14. Just set up my rt1200 on the 550. Did what rjacobs said, just cant get one of the pins in tool head but doesn't seem to matter. Works great!
  15. The brass bank on FB has some good deals. Just got some LC for 114/2500 shipped. Also had good luck with precision once fired brass.

  18. I went to lowes and got a cheap screen door, put it on two stands and laid them out with a fan blowing across them. Works great and when dry you can stand up and sort them if you feel like it.
  19. DAA race masters. Able to adjust them how you like.
  20. perfect. Thanks for the input. Looks like I'll be saving up to get a bunch of these then. Can't beat 22 bucks per 1000. Just waiting for someone to have free shipping or no hazmat to get them. Thanks again.
