  1. as @Sarge said . OAL is long. MY fussiest CZ likes 1.140" however I only load with 4.0gr of titegroup. My loads are NOT major.keep in mind the shorter the OAL, the higher the compression forces when fired(higher pressure).
  2. thanks for that post@hogrider. Redding was kind enough to suggest replacement pins for my set AND even located a dealer with them in stock(midsouth supply).
  3. I do love my 9mm pro series titanium die set. it works great with my dillon 55c. Have loaded about 3,000 rounds and like the results. one caveat not seen with my dillon depriming/sizing die--the depriming pin gets stuck between the newly inserted primer rim and the case pocket rim..and the depriming pin pulls out. This has happened 3/3000 rounds. I asked Redding about this. I thought this is a safety measure( removable pin) to avoid breaking the pin in certain circumstances. They confirmed that. I am able to reinsert the pin and keep loading. However with every round loaded I have to watch for the depriming pin inside a newly primed case now( so with every round, I make sure the case is a good one(no defects),watch that a new primer gets inserted, watch the powder charge for consistency, watch the primer slid e to be sure the holding screws( for the primer tower) are not too tight) and now I have to be sure the depriming pin is still in the die. This thread is not about complaining. As I said, I like the product and the company. My reloads are fine and the set works as designed. Just wanted to alert those who are buying them of a feature some might not consider. In contrast, I KNOW dillon depriming pins can break. Hard to do --Yes. But that is a reason I have depriming pins for both redding and dillon on hand. If they break , it would be on a holiday--ask me how I know happy holidays all
  4. m ost of the brass I collect from the ranges is winchester or speer it seems and they are great to work with the only one I toss is brass with a head stamp of 4-5 letters including Y, M... they hate american primers and tend to split when resizing good luck with your reloading
  5. just started using titegroup with rmr 124 gr fmj bullets. the 3.8grain load worked well but did not eject properly in a 1911 recently( could be that guns recoil spring)> I am thinking that 3.9 gr-4.0 gr is the way to go. hodgdon lists 3.6 - a max of 4.1 gr for a 124 gr bullet like the rmr
  6. powder valley has hp 38 1# bottles
  7. the primer magazine tips are fine and last a long time as long as you install them gently( as me how I know). they lock in just fine and last. it is the primer PICKUP( yellow tips ( for spp) that wear out. they lose their ability to grip the primers under slight pressure. By the 70th primer or so, they start to fall out of the tube rather than pick up another primer like they should. I was hoping for an after market improvement for my 550c set up. otherwise I have to order 10 replacements to keep on hand. they always wear out on holidays it seems
  8. mine just wear out too fast. start out great. after 1000 primers, the spp primers start to fall out the loading end as I try to pick up more than 70 in a primer pick up tube( I usually load 100 by hand in each tube)
  9. great tip thanks..now if they had something better for the primer pick up tips--I would be all in for sure
  10. brownells seems to list cci spp daily with a limit of 2000-just liste d now
  11. The hornady one shot( suggested by Brian Enow and many others) makes resizing cases MUCH easier. I am on board with that group. If it decreases your pain enough, you can shorten you load sessions a bit and keep on loading yourself
  12. if you loved close by, I would offer to size cases for you. and since you do not have any other way to get help, I say, you only live once--get the Mark 7 apex. watch the videos and set it up with 4 stations like your 650. if that does not work due to the cost and set up time required, then buy the processed brass. sell off what you do not need. are you a member of a shooting club? perhaps other members might help you out by processing you brass on t heir machines or on yours? good luck
  13. @stick has the list down pat IMHO I wa s new to reloading a year or so back. I bought a dillon 550 c, conversions kits for 9mm and 45 acp as well as dies, media, tumbler, an electronic scale, digital calipers, I suggest reading 1 0r 2 reloading books like lymans, hornady or sierra and compare the loads suggested. Then buy your bullets according to the load you chose, get primers when you can and powder( I used bullseye and titegroup to start) I also use hornady one shot case lube which may save wear and tear on you dies and machine. get some grease and a grease gun to keep the machine running well. Oils the parts Dillon suggests too. I bought the spare parts kit . I also bought some spare primer pick up tips, e -clips for the depriming die too I use corn media and nufinish car pilish when I clean my brass seems to work out well good luck
  14. for thos e in need, I will continue to post what I find asap. good luck.
  15. there are a few sites on line boasting of having primers, powder.(.and one glock site that claims to have a glock 17L)..the tip off that it is a scam( besides availability of hard to find products) is the check out that does NOT include any kind of credit card use--paypal or bit coin only-- BIG RED FLASHING LIGHT!!
  16. natchez just listed match grade spp @ 77 dollars/1000
  17. in my czs--I have made ammo that is a COAL of 1.140" and they all load and fire fine. above 1.142" they jam my A01 SD I use 124gr fmj round nose bullets and 3.8 gr of titegroup these days I suggest making some dummy rounds befor eyou load ammo for that gun. it is well worth the effort to get it right--ask me how I know
  18. trifusion tactical just called to inform me that they were shipping my order from March in a couple weeks.(I bought the ginex--they have the ones use d in tula ammo now but I prefer the ginex and will wait for a couple weeks) They are here in the USA now and on the way to their shop. they have an order for 34 million primers coming in as they will be the American seller for them. great news
  19. seems to be atrend these days 1911 addicts guns listed by members for sale not being liste d by scammers pics and all on GB
  20. I like my berry bullet puller. it works best with solid metal shell holders instead of the rubber banded ones supplied. and of course it is best to whack them on cement nothing less hard. this is slow but reliable good luck Sarge
  21. brownells has remington 1 1/2 small pistol primers
