  1. ps -when we shoot glocks and other brand s on the same day--we shoot glock first due to the pistol grip angle-- if you shoot a standard pistol first--it messes up the glock performance-- by shooting the glock fist-- we adjust faster to the different grip angle-- and shoot better-- hope this helps
  2. sorry for the dyslexic typing--hands went numb there--meant I founfd that finger pad placement (more is better--try using the center of that finger pad) and a deliberate slow and even trigger pull to fix this issue for me
  3. for what it is worth BR1-- I have found it to be finge rpa dplacement(mor eis better) and trigger pull that causes the left puch-- try center finger pad use--a slow pull back of the trigger-- hope that helps--JMHO
  4. @akeefer I feel like you do-- I use a glock for home defense but at the range anything that feels good is fine--mostly 9mm(beretta,cz, sig,h+K) but some steel 45 acp--1911s(dan wesson heritage) ,cz 97, eaa match elite--- check out a custom cz(cz custom shop)--if you love czs-- you will be thrilled. I am.. If you like beretta--wilson combat released a brigadier-- very sweet-- to each their own hope you get one you love-- my wife loves our shadow 75 9mm da/sa so much--she wants it with us on every range trip--just saying happy shooting to all
  5. HI folks I like Brians way of teaching and what he has contributed to shooting is legend--so I joined in w ith you Started shooting in February 2014--wish I started 40 years ago (when I was a teen). I use Brians grip to shoot most 9mm semi autos-- but have tried rifles(I still suck--LOL) and some revolvers( this takes time to get used to). went from "glad to hit the paper" @ 10 feet to thrill when I hit ragged holes and shoot tight 2" groups(on good days that is) @ 7 yards-- this is the most fun I can have legally!!!! MY wif e is in on the fun too-- we shoot glocks( 19 for her-- 23 for me for home defense but I switch to a lonewolf conversion barrel sometimes @ the range-- some love 'em ,some hate 'em--but they go bang everytime--I like that for home defense at l east)-- beretta(92fs,wilson combat brigadier), cz( 75 bd, sp01), a couple of 1911s by Dan wesson---- mostl time out--we shoot 2-3 time a week--such a great hobby -- the wife is getting good too---- glad she wa s interested-- I feel better when she is home alone now--the home invasions in our area of CT were getting out of hand-- our area was wiped out by 2 hurricanes-- we are blessed to be standing and unharmed but it is not a safe situation and our 2 rescue pits are mushes--they would open the door for strangers if they could--LOL- so the alarm was all we had for defense until a permit arrived in June 2014--PHEW! Now the training begins inearnest-- so much to remember --so much to practice :) happy safe shooting all--I am psyched--found a great indoor range close to home --and another new one opening near me soon(the first one is 20 miles away--the second 5--whoopee!) I am smiling and it is 1 degree out today--shooting is fun!
  6. Hi great ? I am a relatively new shooter--started 1 year ago what have I learned-- 1.never lose concentration 2.Obey(at the least) the 4 commandments of safety( keep finger off trigger until ready to shoot! all guns are loaded, never point gun at something unless you want to destroy it know your target and what is beyond) 3.be open minded and listen to those who are experienced( but with a grain of salt--pick and choose what works for you) 4.TRIGGER CONTROL is the key to accuracy-- stances, grips--vary --although solid consistent stances and grips are a foundation-- trigger control and extreme front sight focus-- will tighten your groups and make you SMILE!!!!! happy shooting ps I have gone from "happy to hit paper" after shooting the 1st time @ 10-15 feet (with 9mm glock and 1911 .22 cal) to very happy when I shoot 2" groups(with anything in my collection)--some ragged holes--now @ 7 yards--not bad for an old dog(56 years and never fired a gun until 2-15-14) -me so happy now :D
