What do you think of the SW 627 Performance Center 4" for IDPA...I also would toy with something for USPSA?

  2. FYI - spoke with Tim at Tac Com, and he stated I had the original clips. He is sending new ones out immediately! Great Customer service!!!
  3. I Purchased some Taccom 4 and 8UP Quad Shell Holders...The upper clips (solid plastic) holding the shells are not as tight when I originally purchased them. So now, running during stages I will loose a few shells or they get knocked out of place. My quick fix was some tape which seems to help, but looks bad. Anyone else have the same issues and possibly know a fix? Thanks!
  4. Not sure of the model number, but it's the two toned version, circa 2001 build in .45 w/adj. Bomars. It's a joy to shoot. I am using it in USPSA and local IDPA matches.
  5. Thanks for the info and also great video's - wow. I ordered the DAA's. BTW, Midway has some Discount Promo codes going today.
  6. I did have fun...unfortunately the match I attended I was the only SS. Not sure there is a way to rank myself against the rest. Everyone else (about 30-35 shooters) played in the other divisions
  7. Do you mean they were really hard to fully seat, or they just wouldn't go in at all? I mostly use CCI primers, but just loaded around 800 .45acp LP using Federal, and every so often, I'd run into a case that didn't want to let the primer fully seat. I'd carefully but forcefully make them go in. This was mixed brass, primarily Winchester, RP, Federal, Speer, PMC, etc. I think most of the tough ones were actually Winchester. I haven't measured, but I suspect the Federal primers are just a tiny bit larger than CCI LP. They fail to seat...you will crush the primer and it will still not seat. I never had this problem before, but then I haven't loaded a ton of .45's. Maybe this is the first time I've encountered the CBC brass. I am using the Dillon 650, mixed brass and Tula LP. At some point I may use other primers and see if they seat in the CBC brass.
  8. I've been through almost all the SS pouches for USPSA. The DAA were the best for me. Tried them bullet nose out and have never looked back. Had to drill my own holes in them to set up nose out (they have a video for it). Stoeger sells them now on his website with the holes all drilled so u can easily test reg vs nose out. Yes, it is a toss up on pouches...I have some double stack plastic DAA's that are not being used...are the Single Stacks a little more sturdy?
  9. lol...true. I ordered the comp-tac holster, and will verify with Safariland on the belt width to use on the DAA style belt...1.5 or 1.75. The DAA belts are thick and measure 1.5'sh.
  10. Thanks...Amazon has some, just not 6...Any thoughts on the DAA Single Stack pouches?
  11. *On the Safariland...Will it fit onto a DAA style belt?
  12. I used Side Armor magazine pouches - very nice but they will not fit the thicker DAA belt. I am thinking on Comp-tac paddle holster, and pouches. I have that setup with a glock and love it... With Comp-tac you have both the clip-on and Tek-lok option for their magazine pouches and I am not sure which is best.
  13. I shot my 1st USPSA Single Stack match yesterday. I was using my 5” Government in a Blade Tec Holster, along with my IDPA mag pouches, and I need more pouches - lots more What are the best holsters and magazine pouches used in USPSA Single Stack division? I am also considering another DAA Belt. Thanks, Mike
  14. thanks, I do not see it excluded and it weighs under the limit.
  15. I am planning shooting in the Single Stack Division in USPSA (.45 Major )....Is the Colt - Special Combat Government considered a factory pistol that can be used in USPSA SS Division? I think in IDPA the CDP it is allowed. This pistol is a joy to shoot. Thanks....Mike
