  1. I wish I could take credit for the idea but it was in the instructions with the Vortex Strike Eagle.
  2. I stuff flat feeler gauges between the flat spot on the bottom of the scope and upper. Tighten the bolts and I'm finished. So far I took it our to 480 and it's perfect.
  3. Almost forgot about this. Mailing out the application right now.
  4. Beastley, Are you talking about the Blue one? I tried that stuff too. I didn't have quite the same end result as you but it wasn't the greatest. The stuff in the first post is the hot ticket.
  5. I'd like to know too! Did you guy's read the first post in this thread?
  6. Not at all bud, I work outside in it all day. When I get days off in the winter all I want to do is stay warm so I don't go shooting. This is only my second year of shooting and when this season of shooting started I felt like I was starting all over again.
  7. Can you believe this was in New Jersey yesterday? I hope the weather staies like this forever.
  8. Oh, I kind of though it was something new that all the pros were doing or something.
  9. What did you do to your charge handle? Did you disable the catch?
  10. I was about to say the same thing. What die and pin are you using Pmd?
  11. That sounds cool do you have any pictures of your set up?
  12. You sir, as they say, are the man. Thank you, gonna order them up tomorrow.
  13. I seen them online a while ago they are little rings with a circle and a dot. I can't remember the name of the company and can't find it on Google. Anyone have a link to them?
  14. I'ma call a coupla hard, pipe-hittin' shooters, who'll go to work on this match here with a pair of pliers and a blow torch. You hear me talkin', hillbilly boy? I ain't through with you by a damn sight. I'ma get medieval on this match. When is sign up?
  15. Get well soon Michael and make some more episodes of one of my favorite firearms shows.
  16. Southpaw, your making the drum bolt to tight. It needs to be kinda loose. Set it up empty, put the brass up and down, it should move really free and quickly. Sorry, I'm probably not explaining it very good.
  17. When you guys talk about cutting the lifter spring you are talking about this spring correct? How much do I cut off?
  18. Really, just because of a sale? They have the lowest price around on copper plated even when they are not on sale. They make an excellent product at a great price. No one else can beat them for what they make at the prices they sell them.
  19. That is amazing man I had no idea he started making them. Going to order one today. There is nothing wrong with my current one but Tim is the man and if it says Tacoma on it I want it. Thanks for posting 63.
  20. Do you have a lead sled? No offense here man but if you start by taking the biggest variable (you) out of the equation you can really figure it out. I have a Stretch 16 barrel. When I first sighted it in I was getting 3" groups at 100 yards shooting off of a bench with a wooden V block. I was pretty pissed off about it but went and shot a match with it anyway. At the match I went one for one on 90% of the long range stuff. I was a little stumped on why a rifle I thought was inaccurate could do so good at a match. I should add that that was only about the 5th time in my whole life I shot from a bench. I went to the range again and a guy was there with a lead sled. He let me use it, we tightened my rifle in there and shot 10 rounds. They were all in one little jagged hole at 100 yards. After that I was more than happy and learned 3 things. 1. I can't shoot off a bench, weird, I know. 2. I shoot better at matches, I kind of already knew that. 3. If I buy quality components don't blame them if I suck.
  21. For me it makes a huge difference because I suck. I have the Dawson no gap Ice on my range officer using Wilson ETM mags and the Dawson base pads. Only had it on for two matches so far and love it.
  22. It's a great press and you will end up using it forever for something. Don't get a digital caliper go with the mechanical, it works forever, nothing is worse than needing special batteries, not having them and having a dead caliper. I have a Lyman dial caliper and it works perfect. It was less than $30. When you get it down you can load 300 rounds an hour on that press. You may end up hand priming because sometimes that primer system is trouble. The new Lyman hand primer is pretty good and you don't need special holders for it. It uses the ones off of your press. The new Lee auto drum powder measure is WAYYY better than the auto disk and only a couple more bucks. If you have amazon prime you will save a bunch of money on shipping. If you need links for anything let me know.
  23. I can't find any info in the link in the first post. 1. Where is it? If this is the one in South Carolina I would like to shoot it. 2. Where is the registration link and how do I pay? Thanks
