  1. Yeah that's the same part number I have and that's exactly what's going on, it tilts up on the one side and pops out. I don't get it, I sent an email to grams but no reply. I'll call them tomorrow if I get time.
  2. What part number of the grams kits do you use? Are you're mags sti Gen 2 40 cal mags?
  3. I have 3 scales. The fx120i, the gem pro 250 and this Lyman scale https://smile.amazon.com/Lyman-Micro-Touch-Electronic-Scale-7750700/dp/B00AU6CCB4/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=Lyman+scale&qid=1612117404&sr=8-3 We all know the fx120i is the gold standard for reloading, it's amazing. Im not really a fan of the gem pro 250 so don't waste your money plus I'm pretty sure they don't sell them anymore. I do highly recommend the Lyman scale above. I compared it to my fx120i weighing the same objects and everything weighed the same. The reviews on Amazon are unbelievable, yeah no s#!t you can't breath on it or have the ceiling fan on. It's scary those people own firearms. Now you know that this is Brian enos forum and everyone on here is sponsored by Dillon so if you want Street cred you gotta buy everything that's blue. Edit to add I bought that lyman scale in February of 2014 and it's still going strong. If you want I can post side by side pictures weighing the same things
  4. Thanks for all the replies guys. Ok I finally got the mags all tuned, they really were not far off, the grams followers still pop out of the top of all of them. @Bakerjd are you polishing the stock follower or anything? The plastic is soft and very draggie in the tube and causing it to stick witch causes the jams. This kinda sucks because I've been using the same set of Gen 1 and 2 mags in my 9mm Apeiro with the same grams guts for over 4 years, not a single jam and haven't done any tuning whatsoever. I was really hoping for that kind of reliability for this new gun.
  5. I hope not. I got them from shooters connection and there's no option for just 40. It's either 9mm with spacer or 9/38/40 without spacer. Here's what I got and here's them popped out jamming the gun up
  6. Thanks for the reply. I was thinking the same thing as soon as I saw it popped out but they all measured the same right around .375-.378, I thought that was a hair on the tight side.
  7. Ok I just got a bunch of 140 Gen 2 STI .40 cal mags. The first thing I tried were the grams kits FKS-11 and a Taran follower with a Taran spring and both styles popped out of the top of the mag and jammed the gun up. Everything is brand new. The stock guts are junk and caused a jam the first time I ran a half mag. I knew they were witch is why I had the grams kits. So what else is there?
  8. Always full length resize. Some people use the bushing to bump the shoulder back .002 after full length resizing.
  9. Listen to Frank's last podcast
  10. Just use whatever you have before you go buying a ton of stuff you might not like later. Go shoot some 3 gun matches and talk to other shooters. Most will let you use their equipment to see if you like it. My biggest pet peeve with 3 gun shooters is they hate the shotgun. Don't hate the shotgun and if you run onto another shooters saying that, stay away from them. Learn how to load it and practice it, it's fun. You can challenge each other quad loading at home with dummy rounds. If we continue on this path of negative towards the shotgun it will eventually just be 2 gun and then somone will complain about that until we are back to outlaw uspsa. It's called 3 gun for a reason, you have to master all 3 guns.
  11. What rpm are you spinning it? Are the ones that are to short making contact with the cutter? I rock the brass around in there a bit and all of mine are within 002

    DQ or not?

You can never sweep yourself except for when your gun is in a DOH holster and you can never break the 180
  13. Yes, you are correct. COF starts at the make ready command and yes it's a DQ.
  14. Yeah well when it's actually happened to me 4 times and once causing a reshoot ya gotta do what ya gotta do
  15. For me as long as I know I got everything I wanted I hurry it up because it's a 50/50 chance I'm going to get a good RO. Meaning not one that's practically going to shove the timer up my guns ass to try to pick up the hammer drop and add time. How to handle a timer is something that needs to be thoroughly taught at the RO class.
  16. Please let these discussions die. Please stop trying to change everything. Don't let what others do bother you so much. Just shoot YOUR division and just be happy.
  17. Sounds like a good idea but If it's all man vs man/shootoffs it will be hard to get new shooters and keep new shooters. How many bays are you working with here? It kinda sounds like your working with only 1. If that's the case go for it but if your trying to do a whole match, just do a regular falling steel match. Multigun style sounds like a good idea but offer a 1 gun division to. We have an amazing match here in jersey called old Bridge knock down steel, YouTube it. It's 1 gun at a time up to 2 guns. Shotgun is a ton of fun, the PCC girls are killing it to, sorry I ment guys lol. There have been open shooters taking the overall. Every division is separate though, it's not a run what ya brung. It would be cool do do a 5 stage match with a side man vs man stage, we use to have a match like that here but the fudds shut it down.
