Just put together a lone wolf 24 open top slide and threaded barrel with jager 4 port comp on a timberwolf frame.
Right now I have a normal length captured stainless guide rod with a 13lb spring that I used in my 22.
Is there anything to switch to to make enough difference to worry about? or should I just run what I have? The lage open gap in front of my guide rod has me thinking I should change it.
They're pretty similar, I just shot my 9mm ts back to back with full rail ria 9mm 5" with same loads and they were very close if I had to give an edge it would be the 1911 having slightly less felt recoil, I do however like the cz better all around.
The extensions say to use the factory springs.

Stiffer might work though. Any idea what spring would be correct for my combo then?
I started with only 22rd mags and added extensions before ever using them.
I just got a factory 15 rd mag I haven't shot it yet but when comparing them the 15rd sits highe, there is a noticeable difference in the angle of the slide stop with the 15 from sitting on a higher follower. Should I modify the other followers to sit higher?
I'm running factory 22rd with tf supercaps.
I haven't dropped rounds in, haven't had a problem with extraction just with the weird angle getting hung up.
Don't think it's limp wristing few people shot it had same problem.
I'm having a constant issue with rounds jamming in my glock 22 with lone wolf barrel.
They get stuck pointed up and make contact with the top of the chamber with the slide partially closed.
To fix this I can hit up on the bottom of the mag and the slide closes or pull back slightly on the slide then release.
I'm using factory ammo, the problem occurs between shots and loading the first round by hand.
What causes this type of jam?
I fought the jamming issues in my 9mm for a while and didn't find a good fix. Today I only had loads for my cz which I load extra short
1.090 blue bullets 125 gr round nose.
The gun Shot perfectly for the first time ever.
I'm surprised people have had issues with 11lb and are using 13lb. Before this thread from reading around I was going to use 10 or 11 based on some posts written by angus hobdel. Now I'm not so sure maybe I'll pick up a few to try.
Made not too long ago. Only review is from 2011.
