I know of two guys that have had their RMRs die while mounted on Glock slides. Like anything, they can break. Sucks when it's a $600 sight. On a PCC, I'd bet on a longer life.

FLETC & several other LE agencies have banned the Serpa. A Google search revealed a lot of talk about who & why. I took the finger button out of the only one I own.

I agree that the HHFs are a very big issue. Basing on open is going to make lots of paper GMs.

And he isn't "placing higher" unless he's beating other PCCers.

Sure did & it makes no sense to me. What someone else does & why they do it is of no business to me or you. If I have the money, & I can step right into a top fuel dragster & race, how does that effect the guy in the funny car or stock divisions? Should they grumble that he just bought his way up without putting in the time? It's none of their business!

How is anyone or thing "suffering" in any way shape or form? Don't like PCC, just pretend we aren't there having fun. It's like an IDPA & USPSA match going on at the same time, the IDPA guys are all saying, "someone is having fun & I don't like it."

You'll be slower, until you aren't. You'll know it when it happens. Try Bill Drills, 6 shots in the A zone, 10 yards, fast as you can. Watch the dot become a red line moving in the lens, it'll help get your timing down.

Welcome back! You'll have fun! I shot a classifier match yesterday, I wanted to get classed in CO. Shot with one PCCer, and I was jealous. I'll be PCCing rest of the season. Just have to decide SBR Colt-style, or 16" Glock-style.

RJH, I took no offense, just observing. Like most, I do look at the overalls to gauge how I or a buddy in a different division did in comparison. I really pay more attention to the other open shooters. If I shoot 85% of the local GM, as an A, I'm happy. We need to remind ourselves that there are 8 individual matches occurring simultaneously.

I also have both, & look forward to trying both to figure which I like better.

From the small sampling in my area, it's open shooters that are trying PCC. And only for the simple reason, it's fun.

Why? The 20 mags I got have springs way overpowered. Even with the TF +10 basepad, no need for a different spring.

Id be worried about accelerated wear on mag tubes with the metal catch.

Agree. Try the easiest thing first.

My PSA mag catch isn't metal. It's a hard polymer.

I have an SBR 10.5" AR9 & a 16" PSA AR9, and I'm thinking a 13" barrel would be perfect compromise for all the reasons above.

Find the gun you will enjoy shooting. The gun expense is relatively small compared to ammo or reloading costs, travel, entry fees, holster, mag pouches, belt, etc...

Got the new TRS in last night. I used an extended mag as a vise block to free up a hand, and found a Glock armorer tool is a perfect slave pin.

I have the RRA in my SBR cause I didn't want to keep popping out the bolt catch pin & I wanted LRBHO.& it was cheaper than Hahn. A set screw drives out 2 large pins that tension it in the magwell. it ain't moving. Plus my magwell is tight.

Or a different hammer.
