  2. you're not looking hard enough, go to Bladetech webite OWB holsters and click on the drop down boxes
  3. ive gone to the Boss hanger for both a Comptac and a Safariland thats where I'm sticking for now
  4. I didn't like the PDR Pro but looking at the DAA video I think they have addressed the issues I had with it.
  5. JR belt, DAA racer mag pouches, Comp tac holster with BOSS hanger,.Wilson ETM 10 rnd 9mm mags with Dawson base pads going into a Dawson IPSC magwell. Same set up for .45 but using CMC mags with plastic screw on bases.
  6. Gary, Thanks for contributing, I like this! I imagine that it's difficult to fully/knowingly commit to that if the complete rules aren't freely available. Sometimes many of the rules (or interpretations) are in a MD's or RM's head until a competitor does something, then the "rules" come out of his mouth and surprise you. ever heard of the rulebook?
  7. how hard is it to remove the mag? I had similar happen to my Wilson mags but the rounds were getting stuck, I had to get a tool to pry the round back into the mag and then once the mag was out of the gun had to pry the round out as they were getting stuck in the feed lips. Certainly puts a dint in to your match.
  8. CZUSA does them I believe, may be some pix on the website.
  9. Glad you gave him a review on something He didn't want a review on yes he did ask why you think it's a better gun but He was after all asking about the Sig
  10. I'm an IPSC guy but as far as I'm aware you cant be DQ'd from a match until it has started. I would suggest the meaning is that you won't be welcome to shoot matches at the particular club, which I would suggest is withing the clubs right to do so however it may put their matches in jeopardy as they are not actually allowing USPSA member to shoot an 'open' match. We had a similar issue here in Aust where a club banned a club member who then joined another ( club membership is a need for a licence here in Aust) the State body actually told the club concerned that if they don't allow the IPSC member in good standing to shoot their L3 would be withdrawn.
  11. Have a look here and check the drop down boxes http://benstoegerproshop.com/bsps-boss-dropped-offset-doh-holster/
  12. Try using wrong commands at an International match were some shooters English is limited to 'the actual' commands. Guns do come out of holsters when you are being polite and saying hello. It's a learning experience and no matter how many times you get told you don't believe it until it happens.
  13. Cousins Springfield loaded .45 and Springfield RO 9mm
  14. I think once you get used to the foamies (and learn to put them in right), you just forget they're there. The one thing I hate about foam plugs is I've put them in too far twice now, and had genuine issues getting them out. I now have tweezers in my range bag. that's why the Surefire are good you can't put them in too far.
  15. 23 Permitted features •External extractors, firing pin blocks, and other factory safety features. •Duplicating features that are on a factory, massed produced slide available to the general public. •Factory installed light rail attachments if the dust cover is no longer than 3.25 inches measured from the rear of the slide stop pin to the front of the dust cover. The issue you may have is weight, SS does have weight restrictions imposed (43 oz with empty mag) , mag wells are also allowed but again the weight issue is there. I'm sure you will find more advice here I'm not a huge help as I shoot IPSC and the rules are a little different to USPSA.
  16. It could be a different measurement depending on the size of the competitor. Fat guy's (I'm one) have an advantage as the extra tire lessens the gap that the skinny guy doesn't have. So if your a skinny guy you would get it measured while not wearing your rig. And that will carry over to your new measurements will it not?
  17. I find it intriguing as to how you would measure the distance to the body if the competitor isn't wearing the gear? I shoot IPSC and am an IROA RO and we alway's check the gear whilst the competitor is wearing it, most if not all of our L# and above matches have semi official gun/ equipment checks at registration ( which is good for the competitor as if it doesn't comply he has time to fix it) and they do the Official check at chrono and during the match.
  18. Using one of theirs myself at the moment
  19. No no official holster test any more. what type of holster is it? I would just tighten it up enough or make sure when locked (if it's a lockable type) so that when the holster is upside down the gun doesn't fall out by gravity.
  20. C'mon guy's it was tongue in cheek. We tried, they all wound up in SASS, IDPA or CQB anyway. A liitle more to the conversation
  21. I use electronic plugs at the moment ( the TEP-100) when I was using non type I used the Surefire ?silicon ones felt quite good and never had an issue with them.
