  1. I might be wrong but I understood that schuemann might be out of business... On a related topic... What caliber you looking for? I have a schuemann hybrid aet in 40 that’s new in package that I am no longer planning to use for a limited build if that interests you...
  2. My local Glock dealer said the gen3 sku’s are no longer available for ordering.
  3. That’s not all that full in a 38 super is it? I’ve heard of guys well over 10 grains with other powders.
  4. I’ve shot a bunch of different brands / types of bullets over TG. I always prefer more shooting for less money so lots of coated bullets (blue, black, acme, sns, bayou). Blue bullets has been by far the least smoke of the coated options. Plated bullets seemed about the same as blue or maybe a little less smoke. Same with JHPs. If money were no object I’d shoot JHPs all day long. But because it is I’m currently shooting blue bullets and xtreme plated (great deals around Black Friday). I went with 124/125gr mainly to get more bullets per dollar. Never really noticed any big difference between 1
  5. I started with the 7.5 on my open gun. I now have the 2.5. I think the 2.5 is vastly superior. I was not a fan of the size of the 7.5- it seemed MUCH larger than the 2.5. It even seemed much larger than a 6moa dot on a traditional cmore. The size was not a problem on open close targets but i was not confident with it on hard partials at longer distances. It’s also got a diff type of intensity than the 2.5. Hard to explain but if you see them side by side I think the 2.5 is a more intense illumination. After owning both I’d absolutely buy more deltapoints in the future, but they would all be th
  6. Definitely NOT production legal. The rules for this type of stuff are very different for production and Single Stack /CO.
  7. Sell your original mount and optic separately. You’ll get 50 for the mount and 175-200 for the optic without breaking a sweat. Making the upgrade cost about 150$. If it’s not worth 150 to fix at this point I don’t know what to tell you. For me personally, I wanted a dvc but was aware of the possible issues. So I dropped that 150 at the front door and had a gun that ran perfect. Why Sti doesn’t go with it set up that way from the start is another conversation, but it will fix your problem as proven by tons of other people.
  8. I believe federal has a new .45 load for Uspsa that is in the 170pf area ETA: I checked and can’t find it. Must not have been released yet. It’s coming tho.
  9. It blows my mind that they still sell the guns with slide rides mounted directly over the ejection port. Maybe it’s fine with 38 but with 9 it’s clearly the problem. It’s easy to find offset mounts that would allow keeping the slide ride or they could just make the jump to the micro dots- pick a brand- and be done with it and have a lot more happy open gun customers Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  10. What does RMR mean? I’ve not seen that before or I’m spacing. I have loaded both coated lead and jhp. For coated lead 125gr bullets I loaded to 1.165” with 7.0 gr of WAC. This got me 171 out of my dvc. For JHPs I loaded 115s to 1.175 and 7.5gr WAC got me 169pf Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  11. I think this sounds pretty awesome. I’m pumped! I’d love for nationals to be in my back yard, however, I completely understand that a major range is needed for this type of undertaking and I’ve always been impressed by the USA facility. I am looking forward to next October! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  12. Same here. New convert to aggressive steel grip on 2011, LOVE IT. Not nearly as hand shredding as I thought it might be when I just handled a few before purchasing. I'm VERY happy with my purchase and adding one to a build currently. That said, these new textures look awesome.. not quite awesome enough for me to peel my hands off my aggressive grip and try one tho..
  13. +1 for the Trijicon. The fiber optic aspect of the reticle is mega bright. I have 2 of the TR-24s but I think the newer version, TR-25 is a 1-6x. I have not owned more expensive optics but I was very impressed and happy with the glass on the Trijicons. Here’s a link to a great review of the tr-24 : Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  14. Have you Shot your load out of a gun without holes? How much PF shift from a standard barrel to one with poppels? Just wondering if you have to crank up the load to work the extra ports. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  15. I've had 2 9mm DVC Opens now. First one was flawless till 5k and the comp cracked. 2nd one has had a few malfs but is pretty solid in about 4k. With my first gun before I fired a shot I replaced the optic with a DP pro on a cheely mount and added an aftec extractor. After that it was flawless. 2nd gun came with the same optic set up, taken from my 1st gun and put on the new one by STI. They left the factory extractor and so have I so far. Maybe that's why I've had a few malfunctions when the other one didn't but so far it runs well and I haven't been motivated to change it out. This is to
  16. Don't spend more of your money just yet. Even the best companies can have a lemon slip through the door. Call sti and talk to a person. I had my comp crack on my dvc and they were very good to deal with. I'd rather not have had the issue, but shit happens. Before you abandon ship at least talk to them about it and see what can be done. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  17. If the mags won't even seat in the gun when empty than there is something wrong with the dimensions of the magazines or the grip.. and if you've tried multiple mags then I would have to guess likely the grip. I notice a difference between my mbx mags and my stock sti mags. The sti mags actually seem to have more drag in the grip of the gun. They still drop free and insert and seat fine, but the mbx mags are just smoother, like they're ever so slightly smaller in outer dimensions. I also have a 9mm dvc open. I would try some other mags and if you still have an issue get in touch with sti. If
  18. While the feeding is an issue for sure, the hard to seat part is not. Mine are exactly the same and they've run flawlessly for 6k plus rounds. I can load them fully but they're not reloadable at all. Take one round out and good to go. I'd say that pretty much all 2011 mags are gonna be the same when you're maximizing capacity. 19. Any new updates on this topic? I'm seriously looking at going with a mark7 for my 650.. upgrading to a 1050 is not something I'm interested in at this point.
  20. If you're always gonna be inside of 250 yards I'd probably go with a 50 yard zero. Keeps poi pretty close to poa from 3-250 yards Obviously your specific load and barrel combo will be a little different but the below pic gives some generic info Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  21. I've got MBX in 9 and 40. Completely happy with them. Can't speak to what you get putting the same money into a set of sti based mags, I'm guessing about the same; lots of people have stories of great reliability out of STI based mags. But since it was a matter of replacing internals and basepads on all mags to get the capacity I wanted, I went the MBX route from the start and I'd do it again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  22. Whew! Smoking run. Great reloads! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I put a cmc 3.5# drop in straight trigger in mine and it's worked fine. I've only shot <150 rounds thru it, but no issues so far. I guess I'll keep trying and see how it does. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. I put a Holosun h1/t1 clone on my PCC and like it so far. I haven't got much range time with it yet, but so far it's getting two thumbs up. Clear glass and bright dot, small and light weight. I found mine on sale for under 150$ so that was a plus as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Another vote for VZ recons. I started with operator2s and loved them till I got a set of recons. The recons are the entire grip in the same pattern as the front half of the operator2s. Awesomely aggressive. Theyre the perfect grip for me.
