I've used aimpoint H1, PRO and EOTechs on duty rifles. Finally dropped the coin on a trijicon tr24 w/ green triangle as mentioned above... Hands down the best optic I've used. Put it in a larue mount (tho there are plenty of good options)..... It's excellent. Fast as a dot and able to be cranked up to 4x if needed. Do yourself a favor and at least test drive one before you go with a 1x dot. And for police work (relatively short rifle distances) the acog with rmr is way less versatile than the tr24 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I've shot up a decent amount of 147 bayou over 3.0 gr TG at 1.135-1.14. Gave me 130-132pf thru my 9mm 1911. Super soft. I did notice that occasionally I'm getting a sticking issue that might be related to OAL being a bit too long for my chamber so I may be dropping the length down a bit. Trigger pins are just a little oversized. I installed two triggers. One I used the original pins because it was just too tight. The other the new pins worked. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

And I didn't realize the lighter varmint triggers were also available. Prob wld have opted for them. From what I've read they're the same trigger essentially, but with a 3.5-4.0 lbs weight rather than 4.0-4.5 lbs Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I got mine in 2 days after ordering. Popped in in a gun already. A little note if you haven't installed one before, the pins that come with them are oversized. I could not use them. Had to use the pins from my original milspec trigger. As far as reset, it seems to rest to single stage. I wasn't really paying attn too much when I briefly dry fired after install but that seems right. Hope it helps Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I did a little searching and really did not come up w/ a lot of specific info about experiences with Wolf small pistol primers. I'm looking to buy some primers and as I'm sure others have noticed these are cheeeeeeap (by today's standards). I'm planning to burn up some ammo this season with a drastically increased practice schedule so price is a bit of a factor. Is there any reason to stay away from Wolf primers? I see people saying that they're very hard, if not the hardest of the major manufactured primers. I will be mainly shooting them through my M&P and would not mind if I needed to upgrade to a extra power striker spring if thats the only issue. Beyond that does anyone have any experience with a high number of these primers (specifically through an M&P would also be helpful), have they been satisfactory? At one point I did shoot a couple thousand Wolf 9mm steel case rounds and had the occasional dead primer.. if thats what I should expect from their primers I guess I would probably be ok using them for practice, but certainly not for major match ammo. So far I've loaded about 10,000 S&B primers and had few issues. They were equally as cheap as the Wolf and I'm happy with my experience (considering they were significantly cheaper than most other options). Currently wideners has the Wolf in stock for $20/1000, which is usually what they have S&B for as well, but S&B has been out of stock for a while. Thanks for any information and help!

Dillon lube. Excellent. I'm guessing it's equally excellent to the one shot. I just have no experience with one shot. Loaded my first 5000 without lube and didn't think anything of it. Tried lube and after the next few thousand I can IMMEDIATELY tell if I run out of lubed cases and hit one that's non-lubed. It's great. Can it be done without lube, of course.... Not sure how much this will apply because it was .40 but I tried Kkm with carver comp on an mp 40 pro core and it really flattened out some rather sharp .40 loads. I was happy with its performance. Ended up abandoning the open plan but overall I was impressed with the carver comp. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

One more thing, was mentioned above. With the ghost pouch there is no noticeable space savings moving to out from forward. They use the same mount for either pouch so it's purely a preference on mag positioning for the drawSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk The base is the same but the pouches are almost twice as long as they are wide so that gives you some more space for fingers to get in between them to retrieve them. I've shot thru a little more than 5000 at this point and only a few issues in a kimber 9mm 1911 or a few different M&Ps. I did get light strikes for a batch, but it was determined that the primers were not properly seated which caused the issue. When the rounds are loaded properly they're good to go. When my press (650) was new I had my priming system get locked up pretty badly. Could really only narrow it down to an out of spec primer not fitting in the disk. I threw out the primers in the press after tearing it all down and have never had that issue again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Just made the switch from bullets forward to out. Went with ghost pouches on daa belt. Have not shot any matches with it yet but in dryfire it feels great. Maybe a little faster, I think it feels a little more consistent. Which is great. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Ran this last night with a new twist, started off with a 200yd sprint in boots, duty belt, body armor with plates and helmet. Ran it with the rifle first, then right away with pistol... that sucked, but everyone's shots were great even while sucking wind. Taking your brain (and oxygen) out of the equation really helps, lol Sounds like a solid way to run that. Getting physically taxed and then shooting is a whole new ball game. I vote 5" too. Doubt the additional sight radius makes a big difference at IDPA distances, but it's a solid soft shooting gun. I love mine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I just received my second case of bayou 147s a few days ago. As with the first order I had a shipping notice about 10-12 hours after placing the order and got them in (in Indiana) on the 3rd day. I'm impressed to say the least with shipping. Bullets seem great, but Im guessing they're damn similar to most of the other coated lead available. I'm sure the drill has a name, but I can't think of it right now or who came up with it- wasn't me (anyone feel free to chime in if you can).. Set 5 targets up in a line about 2-3' apart and at whatever distance you choose, obviously up close you will find yourself doing some very wide transitions. The drill is to start on target #1 and then move down the line and back to #1 while going back to 1 between each new target. Example of shooting sequence: 1,2,1,3,1,4,1,5,1,4,1,3,1,2,1 15 shots total and as you can see lots of transitions. Throw in downloaded mags (10 or 5rnd) and the difficulty jumps up if ur really pushing speed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
