    Sig P320

Parts diagrams are available but otherwise the best exposed view on have seen is at the 2 minute mark of this video
  2. Chuck, I agree on the caliber conversion not being legal as the rules stand. I think this is an area that desperately needs to be addressed with the modularity of the P320 as a case and point.
  3. To confirm, will you be loading minor loads for your .40? I am currently running a 13lb 1911 spring on my 9mm P320 and like that so far. For .40 minor I think a 13 or 14 would be a good place to start. Best bet would be to buy a reduced power calibration kit from Wolff. That would give you a wide range of recoil spring weights to experiment with so you can find the best ballance for your gun and load. P320 guide rods that accept 1911 recoil springs are available from Gray Guns and from Springer Precision.
  4. Creating a .40 minor load fairly common in general. Someone else was just asking the same question on the SIG P320 thread. I recommended getting a new guide rod and some reduced power recoil springs since the slide should be moving slower and with less force than with the typical .40 load. You could also wait a little while for the conversion kits to become available for the full sized 9mm. They run about $300 from SIG but can be had for $240 after the 20% discount for registering for warranty on the SIG website. Currently .40 and .357 conversion kits are available so I would think that 9mm should be available shortly. Conversion kits come with a new slide with sights, barrel, recoil rod and spring, grip, and one magazine.

Nice stippling. Did you do that last night? I sold my SIGLite sights to someone on the SIG Forum who had purchased contrast but wanted night sights.

Chris, I don't know anyone else running 40 minor in the P320 but I would definitely recommend getting a noncaptured guide rod and a light recoil spring calibration kit. That slide will be moving pretty slow compared to stock so you will want to tune your recoil spring to your load.

I cut 3 coils and the gun still ran fine. If GGI is out then you can order a similar replacement guide rod from Springer Precision http://shop.springerprecision.com/product.sc?productId=306&categoryId=45
  8. Agreed. I ride my right thumb on my left hand on the back side of the base of my left thumb. My left thumb itself now rides on the takedown lever as an index point and a place to apply some leverage against recoil.
  9. Welcome. I live just off of the Parkway and Rolling Road. Hope to see you at Sharpshooters or a matching sometime.

Mick, I have not noticed that. Most who were looking to a feature like this complained about getting fingers pinched. I haven't experienced that either.

The P320SC (sub compact) guns are actually shipping with a redesigned trigger that fills the hole in the frame above the current trigger. It might be something to try when they becomes available unless you want to by an SC just for that. When I called two weeks ago to order grip frame modules they didn't have a part number for the new trigger yet.
  12. I found this to be true. For a Blade Tech holster I have found Large TMMS to work much better than the QLS even on a Safariland belt. I have a new in the box QLS if still want to buy one.
  13. I am also testing BBI moving from Xtreme. My only challenge others than the smell and smoke is that they don't gauge in my Dillon case gauge if they are longer than 1.10 (trying 1.14 now). Worked fine for Xtreme. Anyone else notice this issue? What do you use to gauge your 9mm BBI loads?
  14. This^^^ I have blown up the primer feeding system on my 650. I was using Federal Primers and hit a 9mm with a NATO crimped pocket. The primer got a little sideways and I tried pushing through it. Bad idea. The whole primer tube ignited at once shooting the rod into the ceiling. No harm done but I made sure to wear safety glasses after that. Dillon was great and replaced the broken parts for free. I am now very careful when I feel any resistance to seating the primers and when I can I use Winchester instead of Federal. I can actually feel a difference running Winchester or CCI over Federal Primers in the press. Federal feel softer to me even in the press. Federal primers were a necessity when I was shooting Glocks but now that I am running a P320 I haven't had any issues with using Winchester or CCI primers even after having trigger work done. Good luck!

    p320 feed issue

We spoke briefly and it sounded like the cold might have contributed to some of the symptoms since he tried the same drill with the same ammo when he got home and it chambered. Chetc, I wonder if the double click could have been because the slide was slightly out of battery and the first trigger pull that released the striker brought the slide forward followed by a second "click" of the disconnector resetting. Please keep us posted on what you find out.

Contacting CZ USA or CZ Custom might be your best bet. I would be surprised if these started flowing into the country any time soon.

If you look at the first generation P250 you see that it's take down lever was less pronounced.

    p320 feed issue

Chetc, I am just now trying 147gr BBI that have a flat point in my P320 whereas I had been running 147 gr RN Xtreme bullets. So far in have seen an issue with the BBI and I think I am loaded out to 1.14. Let me call for backup on this to see if anyone else who has been shooting the P320 have experienced anything. Let me add that I have about 2,000 round nose 147gr Xtreme down range with full sized P320s without issue but I only have about 50 BBI through my gun so far.

A lot of the P320s seem to be sighted to hit over the sights instead of holding right on. Not my preference so I have been switching out sights with Dawson front and different rears. If you don't like the current take down lever then there might be another option in the future that is a bit less prominent.
  20. I have done almost this exact same job on my P320. Here is a video. I got some Black epoxy resin today that I will be using tomorrow to see if the color turns out better than using white.

I agree. It's seems like they have made it even better gun out of the box. I find it interesting that even though they put and adjustable on it looks like the adjustable has a nice flat surface that resembles the large area on the fixed sight commonly used for racking the slide.
  22. Thanks for the response, MarkCo. What's a "time pet shooter?"
  23. well done Aren't the slings generally added as stage requirements specifically to increase complexity?

The zip ties worked well. Me going, "PEW, PEW, PEW" was not very effective.

The CZs have treated me well and I absolutely recommend them to anyone who asks. I was initially seeking something with an option for a larger grip and better finger placement than I felt like I had with my ACCU. I feel that I am at least as competitive with this other gun but time will tell once the season gets into full swing.
