  1. tested sample of precision in 230gr rn, loaded hodgdon clays, federal cases, win.primer, Springfield armory 5 in. 10 shot cycles with chrony beta, sunny day 78-80 degress. 3.7 clays, pf-163.1 3.8 clays, pf-174.7 3.9 clays, pf-178.6 4.0 clays, pf 186.2 all loaded to a OAL of 123.3 crimp of 0.475 should be noted that the 230 wts average 228.5, and height is .636 verses a .644 on my jacket that i usually use. with 12 lbs. spring and wilson buffer, shoots very well not all that snappy (3.8) will be my choise. no more smoke than usual, pistol cleaned as usual, little bit lighter than usual on barrel hood. will try some at a local match this sunday before ordering, but so far I'm sold, good price on good product thanks
  2. Are ya flooding out down there? did'nt look real good for that area on weather map
  3. still waiting and hoping that springfield will bring out the tgo 40 s&w hi-cap this year , anyone ever figure out which mag that they'll be using?
  4. I understood that star on the north side of indy to be looking for a buyer, and had a very low supply. I always bought their "seconds" 230 fmj for reloading, last time I called them was in may, have things changed? their seconds always worked very well, the target did'nt care if it was a "pretty bullet" or not
  5. 45 acp, gauge every round, dillion gage, haven't had a ammo problem yet, magazines? now that's a different story
  6. gregory, did springfield ever discuss the problem with you? I would think their warrenty would cover this.
  7. between major and local matches and various range time, mine has between 1800-2000 rns through it, other than changing to 12 pound recoil spring, have not had to touch gun (yes the frame is almost totally disassembled) after each major match, no cracks or hent of one. but I've never shot factory ammo through it either, only match reloads. magazines where the big problem with my missfeeds, once I got the basepads to fit right and the inside of the magazines slick enought, and keep them that way it seems to run pretty good. The only burp is me sorry about your luck, what's SA say about it?
  8. anybody got a website or phone number? are they cheap and accurate?

sorry about taking to long, only so many hours in day, the 45 acp that I receivied, is really a nice looking piece, about 400 rns so far, par-ord 14-45 clips work quite well, mine have the dawson pads and fit quite nice. Seems to shoot pretty accurate out of box, pretty much to point of aim, not real crazy about the grips but at the cost of the pistol and the quality of the workmanship, you can work around the grips, this one seems to be a real good shooter
  10. dremil, dremil, best little tool made, take a little off the inside of a dawson magwell, and anything will fit, OK I went kinda deep on mine but the grams pads fit now too.
  11. JOHN: is the miss.classic still a go, how is power, storm damage and hotels?
  12. think I may try doing that, most of us with children who have grown and moved on years ago, feel about the same about our dogs, I've got a 10 yrs.old rot, who's moving kinda slow now., thanks for info
  13. hey Airedale, who did you get to do your shirt and hat with your icon? it looks really neat!!!!
  14. TENN.SECTIONALS, Another great match put on my lance jennings and his gang, O.K. it rained, I think it maybe the rain gods just don't like tenn.? 10 great stages, I think i made history no one could remember one person have two stage malfuctions in one match, stage 5 the swinger on the left did'nt engage after the steel dropped and stage 10 the moving target did'nt bounce back. Is it just me or does it always seems like the reshoot sucks? we had hatfields and mcoys and pretty much everyone behaved themselfs, one walking wounded after stage 8. A prize table fit for a king, where everyone walked away happy!! GREAT MATCH, LANCE THANKS, MIKE G.
  15. leaving in morning, always look forward to this match, good match with a bunch of great people, looks like R.O.'s may get wet tommorrow, and maybe us one saturday, bring your raingear and mudders, see ya.
  16. UPDATE: stages 8 and 10 have changed slightly, stage 8 is now 31 rns and 12 ipsc targets, stage 10 is 32 rns and 16 ipsc targets, the prize table has jumped to about $28,000 worth, now that's worth a weekend

any of your guys ever have primers (large pistol) from winchester, that just refuse to fit? every once and a while I'll have some that for some resone just won't work, I can change to a new box and everyone of them works, I mean they are cheap enough that it doe'nt really matter, just wondering
  18. squad lists are up, I'm shooting limited in squad 2, anyone who can't get a room at the holiday Inn, there's a place across the street (were all the eatery's are) that's about the same price and very nice rooms, Best Value Inn, telephone # 615-740-0074, it's the match hotel for the last two years, i prefer it because I can walk up to Ruby Tuesday's on Fri and Sat afternoon and have a drink and not worrie about the local police. It's already a better match no craze 50 yd. classiffier this year!
  19. Go with the parts they do seem to grow sitting in a box, have fun with it mike
  20. AMERC brass is crap!!!!, I had to take about 400 apart and throw away after I tried to gage them(allways use dillion gage)
  21. stages are up and look pretty interesting, stage 10 looks like it might have some drawing missing, don't look as complete as the other ones, have to try catfish while i'm there this time, see ya at the match!
  22. Is that on the main drag off the interstate, thur town? I think i saw it last year some where
  23. a sa 45 is also what i shoot, par-ord 14-45 mags or mec-gar (model MG-14-45), are the way to go, the others are a waste of time and money, get ya a couple of dawson basepads to increase the cap and your sailing in no time, I'm waiting to get some grams internals and basepads now to try. Slap on a dawson magwell and shave off a little of the inside and the basepads fit with no problem, just about all the par-ord parts fit, this one's mine you will find all the help ya need in this forum most of the best in the gun world is here, and very helpful, good luck
  24. is there any difference in between the old (new stock) par-ord manufactured in 1995 L.E. and the one's being manufactured today. Know of a great deal on pre-bad made in 1995, your options?
