I got the arredondo kits to work in meggar mags, deal is use the arredondo pad and follower with para spring, then to keep the pad in place drill a small set screw through the pad into the mag body ( only a real small screw) , this will hold 15 rounds and functions good in my springfield 45. Once you get a magwell you'll have to shave along top and down the sides to get to fit most, i've got a dawson and opened up the magwell a bit more and blended into pistol from, dremer tools are the best thing made, you'll have to do the same with a dawson base pad, don't know about grams I'm still waiting on mine, good luck

thanks for all the replies, i think i'll just have a couple tuned and save a few bucks, ( had the fangs come off mine at the nationals last year) but dawson's boys saved my ass. thanks

is a aftec extrtactor worth the money? or will a finely tuned extractor wwork just as well, being used with double stack springfield 45 acp?

How did the arrendonodo pads work out for ya?? have ya tried grams yet??
-
I went in the year 2000 when it was handgunner spon. and again in 2001, great match was mostly steel, paul miller is a great guy and always puts on a great match. Was a little bit worried earlier last year I hear the the range was for sale, good luck to all that got and rub elbows with the big dawgs!!!!

would any one know were I can get grams followers and springs for para 14-45, without waiting for grams themselves? bazro's are out of them. really want them. thanks
-
springfield single stack 45 acp, i've had everything from blazer to rem. to my reloads, and everything else has worked just fine. even retested after my gunsmith tuned (repolish ramp, ext. ect) the 45, and it still refused to feed properly, with several different mags. just my luck
-
well I said it was a dumb question
-
ditto on chip macormick, bought 5 for springfield, used for 3 yrs now no failures, great product, sometimes cdnn investments in tx. has them on sale
-
clays, 4.1, 230gr rn,soft recoil, used for one and half yrs, worked everytime, quick and easy clean up, just my thought

I took a 1000 rds (untested by me) to the handgunner nationals in montross, colo. in the 2000, I ended up going to ace hardware, walmart, k-mart anywhere to get 45 acp. and this is in my springfield which has eaten anything i've put in in, yes I bought it because it was CHEAP, with the exp. of the trip and all, but turned out to be a bad idea , but i've always been told it works well in some guns, but not mine.

this is a dumb question, But would a ramped barrel in 40 S&W cure this problem?

ok is ok with me , shot their once at I think it was red castle in 2002, O.K. all steel match or something like that, seems like it was about aug. or something like that GREAT CLUB , pretty place. -
any of you guys checked out : Shooting times annual, 2005 buyer's guide page#67?shows springfield leatham trophy match, 40 s&w, adj.rear and fiber optic with 16 round mag, no price yet though, looks like they really are going to build it, if they build it, I'll buy one!!
-
finally done, o.k. not real pretty grip, best me could come up with was hogue grip for 14-45, and that had to be filed for ever to get the ribs out to fit, most of the delay was my fault, first time building wide-body, i kept getting single stack parts, when to brown ext.mag release, trigger is from wilson combat, I have a very good gunsmith, very quick turn around (when he has the right parts), he cut in the sights, lowered and flared the ejector port, drilled and taped for the dawson mag and did'nt charge me an arm and a leg, 200 rounds breck in and no burps, seems to have sighted in real well, o.k. did'nt think it would take 1400 dollors to do it but i'm prety happy with it, all i'm waiting on now it the grams bases, yea i know that poor man is buried in work, well what do ya think??????????????
