Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Does anyone know who could make front fiber optic sights (besides Dave Severns) for my Dan Wesson Patriot PTS-E? The PTS-E did have a priproprietary sight base which is no longer in use. The front sight size on my gun is .330 x 65 x .090. My old eyes sure could use some brighter sights. Anyone help would be greatly appreciated.
  2. I am going to purchase either the AGI or Wilson complete set of 1911 videos. Anyone care to comment on which is the best? I want to get the best.
  3. Is it possible to "tune" an external extractor so that the brass ejects and drops somewhat in the same general area? Currently, my ejected brass will vary from dropping at my side or soaring 20 feet away in a 180 degree arc. I am using the same powder load and bullet weight all the time.
  4. As a beginning reloader, I found several .45 brass cases at a gun range last week. I recognized several (Speer, Starline, Federal, Wilson, Winchester, RP) but I don't recognize any of the following. Can anyone tell me who manufactures them and which ones should I stay away from? WCC 77, 79 Match, 80, 82, 84, 85, 90, 94, 96, 97, 99 TZZ 85, 86 Match, 91 GFL RA 66, 69 Match MFS .45 Auto +P W-W Amerc CBC AP00, AP02 Super-Vel IMI or 1M1 *I*
  5. Roboman, My bench is rock solid and your tip about seating the primer is much appreciated. Lloyd
  6. John, Until I become much more efficient, I measure each and everyone of my finished products to ensure I don't exceed the maximum OAL. I still have my rockchucker mounted to take care of such problems.
  7. I just received my Square Deal "B" reloader and I am trying to reload my ammo to an OAL of 1.272. Currently, the tolerances are plus or minus .003. How critical is these tolerances in terms of accuracy? I really like my Square Deal and the only problems that I have had is in the area of seating primers and I think I have that problem corrected.
  8. How do I disassemble and clean an external extractor on a 1911?
