  1. I have a CR Speed Glock holster and want to know if I can make this holster accept a CZ 75 TS with use of shims, etc. Anybody done or tried this?
  2. Can a CR Speed Glock Holster be made to work for the CZ 75 TS or will I be spending more bucks for a new holster and if so is there any one that works really well for the TS?
  3. These finishes are not put on by Glock. They are all aftermarket. Their are several companies that are marketing these different slide finishes. Glock having a crappy website is something I will never understand. Their crappy website is a dis-service to their customers.
  4. Matthew, What is your price on a TS. A shop here in Atlanta is selling them for $950.00. If you can beat that price let me know and would be more than happy to support a fellow shooter/gun nut.
  5. I currently shoot a Glock 24 (sometimes a 35) in USPSA Limited class and I really like it but I want to try something else for fun It's hard to stay faithful to one pistol when there are so many good one out there. I have heard good things about CZ and I had the chance to put a few rounds through a CZ 75 IPSC and I liked the way it felt and the way it fit my hand. I recently read about the CZ 75 Tactical Sport and it looks like it would be a great choice because it fits my budget of less than $1000 dollars and since it is an improved version of the IPSC model. I also want my next limited gun to be single action and this one is. WHat are your thoughts? I think this would be a great limited gun for the money. I just can't come to grips on spending $2000 for a STI/SV limited gun. I know they are great guns but that is a chunk of change. SHould I get a CZ 75 TS. Open to suggestions for a good single action limited gun that is less than 1,000 dollars.
  6. What was the price of the pistol. I am thinking about getting one myself. Very nice pistol.
  7. Check my post on the first page. 4 or 5 down. You can see a picture of the Limited gun John built for me. It is a great pistol.
  8. I shoot KKM barrels due to the fact that you are going to get better accuracy with a barrel that is fit to your slide. When I get my KKM barrels I order them a little large so they can be custom fit by my local Glock-smith. I am just starting to reload-better safe than sorry IMO.
  9. John does good work. He just built me a 24 Limited gun that is tight as can be. I am eyeing one of those open guns myself. The mount for the C-More is clean and looks great. Picture of Limited gun below.
  10. KKM is the way to go. I have KKM in my 24 and 35 and the accuracy and fit is great. Barsto is a good barrel but the extra cost is not worth it IMO.
  11. I think I will pass. I have pretty big hands and my Glocks have never bite me. Give her a try and report back.
  12. I saw the same thing at a gun show. The dealer had a sample on a gun and it was pretty flimsy and cheap looking. I don't think it would hold up to well. It wasn't able to load a mag so I don't know how it worked but by the looks of it it was not worth 17.50 but more like 4.99. Just my opinion. I would spend another 20-30 bucks and get something you know will last. Good luck.
  13. I have a 24 and a 35 and I shoot them both in limited class. I highly reccommend giving the 24 a chance. I really like the way it handles and I seem to have better results with 30-50 yd. shots with the 24. I normally shot my 35 at indoor matches where the stages are not as challenging due to a lack of space. I run a 19 lb. spring with loads that just meet major power factor and that makes for a soft shooting .40 caliber. I also have a KKM barrel that I am very happy with. I would give the 24 a shot if I were you. It is a great gun to compete with.
  14. I have a THE magwell and it will work with stock basepads. But you do have to make sure the mag seats and this is more difficult without a basepad. I really like the brass magwell for the weight that it adds.
  15. Does anyone know where Lone Wolf gets their 6" G21 slides from? Have they produced 500? I think that would make for a neat Limited Gun.
  16. +3 for the Heinie rear and FO front. It makes for a fantastic sight picture. You can buy that set for around $65.00 bucks. I got mine from Chris Patty's website.
  17. I just went to Broenwll's.com and they wanted $206.70 for a normal non-comped KKM barrel. Maybe their out of whack prices are why they are not selling any IPSC stuff. I reckon I will just order mine directly from KKM.
  18. Thanks for the reply. I will have to see if I can find someone with an FFL.
  19. Who has the best prices on KKM barrels out there? I am trying to find a good deal on a G24 KKM barrel. Thanks for ther help.

    hey Beven !!!

Count me in as well. I would give one a home.
  21. I just finished my limited gun. This thread lets me know that I need an open gun. I already have a 17 with a caspian slide. How much dough will it take me to build a good open gun
  22. I have two Storm Lake barrels, one in my 17 and 24. I just got a good deal on a lightly used KKM for my G35 and it outshoots my two Storm Lake barrels. I think I will be putting a KKM in my 24 now that I have seen accurate they are. Storm Lake is a good barrel but KKM is better.

    GLOCK BASEPADS

Yes, the dawson pads come with the springs. I just bought 4 and they are so easy to take off and on and the extra weight makes the mags drop fast.
  24. Sounds like you got one out of spec. I have one on my 3rd generation G35 and it slid right one with no problems and none of my mags have hung up. I would give CGR a call and see what they have to say.
  25. A 24 makes for a great limited gun. I have my 24 set up the following way: Dawson FO front with Heinie rear THE Brass magwell Stainless Guide Rod with 19# spring 0.25 cent trigger job Caspian slide with Storm Lake Barrel THE extended mag release CR Speed Holster is a great way to go. Stipled grip. This setup works really great. I use bullets that just meet PF and the 19# spring really keeps the pistol in battery as long as possible and really softens the recoil. I just got some Dawson plus four pads and I am very pleased with them
