  1. +1 for practiscore. Last match I was at, they posted the scores before I even left the match. The director asked me if I wanted to see my score before I left and I got to see it on his computer. It doesn't get an faster than that!
  2. I was going to recommend the Glock, but see you already bought it. You can make some relatively inexpensive modifications as you go. I shoot a 34 and it needed 3 things in order of importance to me: trigger, sights, magwell.
  3. Personal preference. My beretta 1301 has a red dot and my dawson sights came with red or green. I used the red just so I had the same color on both guns.
  4. I have a new 12Q and really like it. I can quadload with this much better than I can with the other brand. It does work pretty well as a deuce loader but I sometimes fumble the shells next door and one falls out and makes a mess. I will stick with quad loads with my 12Q. I mentioned in another forum about the best customer service I have seen came from Kevin at IP.
  5. I use a hornady lock-n-load AP. Only had it a month or so and only loaded a few hundred rounds of 9mm and 223. Overall I am happy with the unit. Coming from single stage reloading this setup will save me a lot of time.
  6. My goal with quads is 8 in under 6 seconds. I can load deuces just about as fast, again goal of under 6 seconds. Usually in the 5.5 second range for both methods.
  7. I use a Double Alpha. I have a 32" waist so I bought a 34" for a little overlap. Wish I would have bought a 36" cause by the time you add a bunch of caddies, it shortens up the belt a little. I only have about an inch of overlap when I have it full of equipment. Other than that, I really like the belt
  8. If it were me and I already had the 35, I would do the upgrades. If you didn't already have the gun, I would get a 2011. I bought a 34, tricked it out with about $500 worth of stuff and now I wish I had just bought an STI or something similar. I will say I really like my 34 though
  9. My cousin had a squib round a couple weeks ago at a 3 gun match with his 9mm. No powder, and lodged the bullet in the barrel and earned him a crappy score for the stage as he was only half way through and received penalties on all the unshot targets. I would pull them
  10. I agree with heavier bullets for long range. 62-69 grain bullets are probably best for 400 yard shots. will depend on the barrel twist. Some people won't notice a difference, but that will depend on their gun and their own abilities.
  11. You will not be disappointed in the welded lifter, that is for sure
  12. Finding a spare may be tough. If you wanted, you could buy another one from Brownells. I think they are around $41. You could send that straight to c- rums or whoever and not need to be without. Just a thought but I realize it's more expensive
  13. I have issues with the second shell hitting the sliver of receiver above the follower (assuming the gun is upside down). It seems to me that the loading port is too recessed, and is why some Folks (including myself) are grinding the sides down. I wish the receiver was actually sloped towards the follower instead of away from it although that would shorten the length of the loading port.
  14. Another vote for invictus. customer service is as good or better than I have ever seen.
  15. Use what you have for the first couple matches. I have spent too much money on things that got replaced by the next match. 3 gun is an expensive sport to keep up with the Jones's
  16. I was at a shoot in Minnesota a couple weeks ago when my cousin was in the middle of the stage when his M&P flew out of his bladetech and DQ'd. He has since tightened the screws down to (hopefully) prevent a reoccurance
  17. Good to hear that, I have heard mixed results with lightened strikers
  18. my wife asked me, "If I die, will you remarry" I said probably. She then asked if my new wife would use her good china, and I said probably. She then asked if she would wear her clothes and I said, if they fit I don't see why not. She then asked " will she use my trap gun?" I said "she can't honey, she is left handed"
  19. I bought a 3 choke set made by Trulock. . They are waterfowl chokes and listed as close, mid, and long range but I found out afterwards that they are cylinder, improved, and modified choke with lead shot. But they are extended chokes so they are easier to handle.
  20. Just like asking who makes the best truck... You will get lots of opinions. I personally shoot the 1301 and love it. It shoots slugs better than my actual slug gun
  21. The only thing that impresses me more than the caddies is the customer service. I wanted a 12Q, but the website said they were out of stock. so I filled out the backorder form on the website and I got an email back from Kevin very shortly after saying he would make me one and I had it in the mail about 3 days later. That's good service. And my cousin had a tab break on his 2.8 and he had a new tab at his doorstep within a few days no questions asked. He is gonna run the other guys out of business with his service in my opinion
  22. I also run a 12+1 because I can quad 4 at the beep which is all I need for 75% of the stages. I started with 10+1 and added a +2 from Nordic. I would say it depends on the type of loading you do.
  23. I ordered a DK trigger bar and it eliminated pretravel and greatly improved reset
  24. Only thing I would add is a magwell. otherwise sweet setup, similar to mine
  25. another vote for hard primers . I too want my cake and eat it too with light trigger and reliability, but unless I use federal primers it doesn't work. I am waiting for my glockworx lightened/lengthened striker to see if that helps with other brands of primers
