  1. Yeah, that sucks. I can't shoot the TN sectional either due to it conflicting with our SS/PRO state match.....bummer. Damn. I just looked at that. You know, I would really like for our area to have a meeting at the end of the year with all the section coordinators so we can do a better job of scheduling. Too many things fall through the cracks.
  2. Well, it's Easter weekend and really too close a couple of other matches we thought would really hurt us. Also, we have heard from a bunch of people saying they would not be able to make it. So, we will focus on the TN sectional and maybe try again next year. Tim
  3. if you find out let me know. 15,564 is my high.
  4. So if you put your sight picture on more than one deer you get way more points. I still don't see how folks are getting 20-30k though. The best I can do is mid 15's. I'm not using a mouse. I'm sure that can help.
  5. My understanding (which is limited). No one wants to shoot a major in the south in June - August due to the heat. Everyone is afraid of the fall due to nationals. Not to beat a dead horse, but everyone's life would be easier if the nationals weren't the last major match to be put on the calender. Can't agree more.
  6. 2009 TN Sectional is tentatively scheduled for Sept 25th – 27th. We are waiting on the nat dates before we write it in stone.

    In-Laws

Oh man, does this hit a nerve with me. Few years back the in-laws in town POS dog in hand and I just laid new carpet in our family room. We all went out to eat and I asked them to tie the dog outside while we were gone........but NOOOOO. The dog is a lab and I am normally a great fan of the breed but this one was a poorly bread POS and what makes it worse they refuse to train it. Anyway, we get back from dinner and a huge section of my new carpet is ripped up and tore in pieces and there are hugh gashes in our new beautiful front door from his claws. And here is the kicker they were mad because I was so upset. A minimum of 500 miles between them and us keeps our marriage going strong. Unfortunately my wife's brother never learned that lesson and is now going through a divorce. :angry2:
  9. Like most insurance...........it's usually unnecessary and too expensive
  10. You actually get a very small mark on the primer. I had this happen to me and it took me probably 2 months to figure out what was going on. But in my case, it wasn't overtravel that was the problem....needed to replace the disconnector. I didn't actually get a mark at all on my primers. My fix was really easy.......I replaced the mainspring and the problem was solved. Just that little extra pressure prevented the follow. Hope this helps anyway. A lot of good things to check here.
  11. Another thing to check and or think about..........sometimes when a hammer follows the hammer will go to half cock and then when you pull the trigger you will feel the click (the hammer falls from half cock) but of course no bang and no mark on the primer.
  12. Here is the Champ of the family (my son named him Champ).
  13. I might wait for the FL state as well. But I'm still thinking about shooting the open. I might shoot both.
  14. Tim, its not like we actually get to vote lol Sure...right....ok... But I know you guys all have secret decoder rings and a secret hand shake. But it's alright, I had just hoped to be an instrumental part of God's plan to stamp out the ignorance that causes so many lost soles to cradle the plastic abomination. I had hoped to help see through the vision of an America where every household has at least two 1911s. An America where the 45acp reigns king and the 9mm is a mere whisper from the past. An America where the "safe action trigger" lays only upon the scrap heap of unsafe and bad ideas and fast and accurate trigger control can be had by all. An America where our troops are not burdened by a limp noodle shooting, too fat for your hand, better off using your bayonet hip weight. An America that celebrates a national JMB day where we meet together in our national parks to shoot ipsc matches. Instead I will have to sit on the sidelines hoping someday to be a full fledged part of the SSEC knowing I'm simply not worthy. Woe is me. :roflol:
