He is nine. He shot an open gun last week and loved it (he has been shooting his ruger 22-45 for about a year). The plan is to shoot most of this year with the airsoft and then slowly go to the open minor gun. He didn't have a single safety violation today and only a couple mikes. I love that these airsoft guns are around. What a great tool for teaching youngsters.

My son Christian shot his first match today with his airsoft. It was great shooting with him and I am a proud papa. Minor open here we come.......(soon).

Stage round counts range from 8 to 32 rounds. So, you would be fine shooting that gun in L-10 or Limited. However, you will be at a slight disadvantage shooting in Limited because most folks will be shooting 20 round mags in 40 S&W.

I'm in the same boat........I'm trying to decide what to do for my 9 year old who really wants to compete. I emailed Max M. about this and he suggested an open gun for a bunch of reasons. I have not made a decision yet though.

Just watched one of the american idols sing our national anthem. I really hate it when they use it as a platform to demonstrate their tasteless vocal gymnastics. I mean it is like they decided to see how many licks they can throw in between and during phrases. The melody is actually beautiful as it was written. And moreover, such idiocy detracts from lyrics which certainly in this particular case is the most important part of the song. SING IT WITH HUMILITY AND REVERENCE!!!!!! IT IS NOT ABOUT YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At any rate, I really like and believe in the format. It's something different and fun and gives Lim and open shooters an excuse to break out the SS or Prod guns and in my case make a fool out of myself I will try to make the IN match and if I can the KY match. The KY match might be tough since I will most assuredly be ROing the TN sectional. Best to all Tim

Yeah. I just wish there was a better way to coordinate. Our SC checked the USPSA calendar for the TN match and the KY-SS/pro match wasn't on there so we picked that and went for it. Damn.
