  1. I didn't do it yet. I actually forgot about doing it. I've been busy this week testing bug fixes for the 1.2.11 release. I will try to do a side-by-side comparison soon and let everyone know how things turn out.
  2. Perhaps this explains why some people are listed already: "The 42 winners of the 2013 State matches of Area 6 will be given first opportunity at a slot"
  3. IMO the race to X class threads are a good thing. I'm in the race to C class. I see it as a way to motivate other shooters of similar skill level to become better shooters. Even though it's called race to x I don't really consider it a race. I'm going to make C class when I shoot well enough. I don't feel any added pressure or motivation to shoot a classifier better just because I'm in a race to make C class.
  4. Which revolver will you be shooting with? I normally shoot with the S&W 625 but plan on shooting the match with a borrowed Single Stack to get my initial classification in that division.
  5. Print out the match results and frame them! Congrats!
  6. Thanks. I'm looking for something I can use with my 4" S&W 625 revolver. Looks like somewhere between 4.3 and 4.8 will get me there. I'll have to work up some loads and get access to a chronograph to test with.
  7. Interesting topic. I spent a few minutes reading through the rule book (Chapter 9 specifically) and found this paragraph that applies to your situation: "9.7.4. A score sheet signed by both a competitor and a Range Officer is conclusive evidence that the course of fire has been completed, and that the time, scores and penalties recorded on the score sheet, are accurate and uncontested. The signed score sheet is deemed to be a definitive document and, with the exception of the mutual consent of the competitor and the signatory Range Officer, or due to an arbitration decision, the score sheet will only be changed to correct arithmetical errors or to add procedural penalties under Rule 8.6.2." I'll admit there have been a number of times when I've shot matches and just signed the sheet without doing any kind of review. I also found something else that's interesting. In the classifier diagram book it contains score sheets for each classifier. On each score sheet it specifically states to use numbers and not hashmarks. From the sounds of it the RO scoring the stage used hashmarks instead of numbers as they should have. If I were in your shoes I'd contact the match director and explain the situation and see if they can/will make a correction.
  8. One of the topics for the USPSA BOD meeting over the past weekend was revolver classifiers. I don't know the specifics but it will be interesting to read the minutes from the meeting to see what was actually discussed. I don't seem them coming out with 6- and 8- shot classifiers so they'll probably have to do some sort of adjustment for those shooting 6 versus those shooting 8 but how would they know. You can't assume (well you could but we all know what happens when you do that) that if the person shot it minor then they were using 8 shot but that's not always the case. I shot my first revolver match this year minor with a 6-shot Model 10.
  9. I would say you did a little more than just shoot the match. Congrats on top 3 placement in Revolver division!

  24. Actually there's a Steel Challenge sub-forum - I'd post the question there as it's related to mods allowed for shooting steel challenge matches. From what I've seen out our local matches it's basically run what you have. No one has questioned anyone's rig.
