  1. Picked up 1000 rounds of Fiocchi 223 for $280 from PSA. Free shipping made it a pretty good deal.
  2. I wish the PC9 was offered in a non-takedown version. Might help open more aftermarket stock options if manufacturers don't have to deal with a 2 peice format.
  3. That sounds like my first PCC match...happened again on the practice range too. That gun is no longer with me.
  4. Stage design isn't something I've ever done before, but maybe that's something I can work toward contributing.
  5. MPF

    80% frames

What companies are making these 80% frames? Honestly, it's not something that's been on my radar but could be cool to try some different grip angles ect if the frame is of comparable quality polymer.
  6. The local matches I usually shoot may throw in a low port or two but anything really low is usually at the end. I'd like to see some more physical stage design elements like prone shooting positions.
  7. Also, your laptop likely has a limit on how much total RAM it is capable of having installed (despite how many slots it has). Best check what type and capacity your laptop supports before buying anything.
  8. Agreed, that bolt makes it a little more cludgy than a higher end AR PCC. However, I think it's a cool platform and as a more casual shooter I think it's a lot of fun. My first attempt at getting into PCC was a "budget" AR build that was a jam-o-matic. For the same money I now have a Scorpion that will let me play without worrying about reliability.
  9. I'll throw in a wild card option with the CZ Scorpion. Not AR platform and not a Glock mag adapter but it'll run out of the box and mags are cheap. There are a couple ergonomic upgrades you can make (charging handle and safety) but it is reliable from the factory and doesn't fuss about what ammo you give it.
  10. I'm working on getting my CO setup together and have decided on a DPP, so I'll be going the milled route to get the dot a little closer to the slide. That being said, I tried out a squadmates MOS with a DPP and the extra height wasn't nearly as big a deal as I thought it would be. Basically, I believe it comes down to whether you plan on sticking with one particular optic or not. Resale on an MOS vs milled may be something to consider too.
  11. I think having new shooters paired up with someone(s) willing to show them the ropes and walk them through the basics is more useful than a separate introductory class. Everyone wants new blood in the sport so spending the time to make sure someone new feels comfortable being safe in a match environment should be a priority.
  12. I find it easiest to have both the inner and outer over lap in back. To me it makes it easier to put the outer on while keeping the magazines/holster indexed to my hips.
  13. Starting out I used to let the pressure of shooting with much better people get to me and I would rush myself. With experience I've learned to relax and focus on shooting against myself more than others. The folks in my area are by in large a very helpful bunch as well, and they share their experience.
  14. Welcome. I hear y'all really like your CZ's out there, have a favorite?
  15. The extended charging handle is a must, and I really like the HBI AK style safety. I did a little polishing when putting in lighter trigger springs and that took care of any reset issues. I've thrown all sorts of factory ammo through mine and it runs pretty much anything. I'd stay away from weaker loads. I'm still working out the best magazine extension solution for those 30+ round stages. The manticore 32 round mags did ok for a while but I've had issues with it running realiably through the last 2-3 rounds, so I've just stuck with factory magazines.
  16. I did the HBI spring kit and polished the trigger bits a little. It's working pretty well for me now. I'd like to get my hands on one of the CZC triggers to see if it would be worth the time and money to upgrade.
  17. Does the spring that comes with the extension work well added to a 30 round mag? Or is is made to be used in conjunction with a 20 rounder? What kind of ammo have you run through yours?
  18. I just picked up a Scorpion carbine this week. Really excited to get in some PCC action. I'd like to SBR it sometime like you've done here.
  19. We got an M series Vizio in 65 inch. They have 75 in models as well. I'd recommend finding something with HDR. A couple friends have bought the same line of TVs and have all been very pleased. I got mine from Sam's club for something like $1100. Add a grand for the 75 in.
  20. I've always liked Nordic for both their shotgun and rifle products. They're pretty much the gold standard for tube extensions. I can't comment on the lancer tubes personally, but I can say that you can't go wrong with Nordic.
  21. Optics planet has always been good to me so I'm sure it's fine. Eyeing the open box Deltapoint Pro's...
  22. I just got a pair of their new Sense Ride shoes and I think they are well worth the cost. I wear them for everyday use but they are still plenty grippy for trails or whatever. To me the insole is the best part. It feels like the harder I use them the better they support. Also love the way they lace up.
  23. I'm interested in this as well. I've seen about 18% additional discount on demo units. Do they come in a generic cardboard box or factory packaging with everything? Ect...
  24. I shoot a Winchester SX2. Handled it at a gun show and it fit me way better than the 930's I had been considering. Nordic tube and a new fiber optic is all I've done to it. Its my favorite gun to shoot and it only cost me an old deer rifle and a couple hundred bucks.
  25. I like teklock, it holds firm when locked on my belt but I can easily unlock it and adjust or rerearrange things. Its got several screw positions so you can attach your holster at the cant you want. In a dropped offset setup you have 3 peices: the holster, the drop offset peice, and the teklock (or whatever attachment you choose). I assume the DOS prefix on some of those attachment options refers to whether it come with the drop offset peice.
