  1. May yours be better than mine!
  2. Yup- more spot on advice, thanks Kevin.
  3. Heck yeah- might as well do one for each division. And then offered in the USPSA online store.
  4. Amazing- this statement describes my experience exactly. Sure I did pretty well with the Glock- but the S_I will always be a better gun. For me, the trigger and better accuracy have helped me achieve more. I have improved with the improved platform. And lets all be honest- just because Dave can do it with a Glock doesn't mean that any of us will ever be able to do it! I am sorry, but I am tired of hearing that same 'ol excuse. Ultimately it is the shooter- but confidence and desire for, and with, the gun plays a role also I think. Not to mention mechanical superiority.
  5. Good stuff Flex- that is pretty much my routine. But last year I tried having training as the priority instead of the match. All in all I didn't get "bit" so to speak, but I did run the risk of overdoing it so to speak. So I think I am pretty much gonna do as you prescribed. No sense in pushing it if you don't have to.
  6. I am still "on the fence" whether practicing days before a major or relaxing benefits me the most. Last year I had some part failures days before a major and that really rattles ya- But I did go on to win the division in that match. So I don't know. I think the "light" practice routines like shoot some groups, dryfire and mental rehearsals are the best advice. And RELAXATION! Good tips Venry, I need to do more of that the night before a match too!
  7. I met this guy while I was in Albuquerque and he has a motto he lives by everyday. He said listen carefully and live by these 4 rules: Drink, Steal, Swear, & Lie. I was shaking my head 'no', but he then told me to listen while he explained his four rules. So here they are: 1.. "Drink" from the "everlasting cup" every day. 2.. "Steal" a moment to help someone that is in worse shape than you are. 3.. "Swear" that you will be a better person today than yesterday. 4.. And last, but not least, when you "lie" down at night, thank God you live in America and have freedom. I am not as good as I should be; I am not as good as I could be; but THANK GOD, I am better than I used to be. -- Author Unknown
  8. A 3-year-old boy examined his testicles while taking a bath. "Mom", he asked, "Are these my brains?" "Not yet," she replied.
  9. They did Simple Man from Lynyrd Skynyrd too. Why can't bands just stick to singing their own stuff?
  10. Some good info from Bob at Brazos Custom: http://www.brazoscustom.com/magart/light_vs_heavy.htm
  11. Picking up all those mags- oh and walking around all of them picking up that prescious .45 brass!!
  12. I have heard nothing but great reviews from all the local shooters that shoot his guns. And I have witnessed his craftmanship on many other platforms as well! Top notch.
  13. I don't remember the lemon Tree ritual ? was that when he skinned the tires? He peed on the lemon tree every morning. Yup-too funny!
  14. One of my favorite movies at the time I watched it. Very compelling life story.
  15. Very cool! I like that idea... Are you seeing this Mark!
  16. Here are the ones I am already "in" for: Single Stack Nationals Indiana Section Area 5 MN Section Summer Blast Area 3 Limited Nationals Wisconsin Section I say "in" because they are already paid for, planned and/or reserved (hotel, staffing and or secured). I even have my travel costs mapped for each one. If it is worth planning, it is worth planning early! I am not sure on what else I may make it to this year- but I think I will be able to make it to more. Not to mention the WI Point Series....
  17. Well Rob has always been known as the king of iron sights- hence "TGO"!
  18. You just need to get some classifiers in Matt- I know you would make GM. I have faith in you brother!
