  1. If you're going to 3 gun get the T&N 23 round magazine. Thank me later.
  2. You're right I did not understand it and still may not fully. I see the spring on the priming pin is to get it to retract not to load the pin when it sets the primer. That said mine does not mash a new primer on top of an unremoved primer. As stated if a primer is not removed by the sizing die then the primer pin pushes a new primer up against the old primer. After the handle is completely forward the new unseated primer drops out and ends up in the cup, Unsmashed and still usable. YMMV
  3. Can't say for all loaders but on my 650 if an old primer was not removed properly the new primer is not set and it drops out into a little cup deal. The priming pin itself is spring loaded so it has give if it encounters an unremoved primer.
  4. I run that ammo in my T&N 1919 with the reduced recoil spring. Runs 100% if I do my part.
  5. Yes to you can enlarge the gas ports. Yes to listening to Matt and Josh about building it. Yes to letting Josh build it if you can. The lightened spring is your friend. My first one needed bigger gas ports and the light spring to feed 1145fps 100%

    RTS 2

Hold the arrow up button in until it goes off, about 3 sec.
  7. I third and fourth all positive comments above. Great Match Kurt. Please thank your crew they did a great job! I'm ready for the second annual!!
  8. Boom, if you're asking me I'd wait for the strike fire and if it has daylight visible illumination I'd get that if the glass is clear and the price is comparable
  9. I have the PA and the Vortex 1-6x. The PA is great for a $300 optic, no it does not compare to my Vortex. Can and does it hit out to 500yds minute of 3 gun accuracy?...yes. The reticle aligns with bullet trajectory pretty well certainly good enough for 3 Gun. I like the reticle better than the Vortex EXCEPT it's not daylight visible. I only use illumination on short shots both eyes open, so that hurt it for me some. I use it on my back up gun.
  10. Not sure how many 3 Gun Matches have major power factor. Most just shoot factory 9mm ammo, sub-minor or minor ammo not major 9mm ammo. If the matches you want to shoot are the same be sure you get a gun that can shoot minor and major.
  11. Oakley, m-frame, they don't fog, clear vision, love the vermillion lenses.
  12. Thanks, I have a machinist friend who runs a lathe so it's free. I'm wondering about the barrel blowing up?
  13. I have a Stag 3G barrel. It's a heavy profile with light factory fluting. I'd like to lighten it. Can I turn it down to say .625" leaving the transitions alone and blending to them and the GB pad and still have a safe shooting barrel? Thanks
  14. I had a FFIII on a Burkett mount for a season on my open AR. I used it quite a bit on short stuff but never got the shoulder mount down fast with the 45* red dot. I took it off and I'm faster with just my scope. I think where you get a benefit from it is when you have say some short targets and then some long and you save time by not dialing the scope up. The problem was my trigger was so much slower because of the unfamiliar shoulder mount and the fact that on shorter stages they have more prone, through obstacles etc. shooting that exasperated my target acquisition problems. I removed it, saved weight and shoot faster win, win. For most shooters I would think sticking with the basics like, improving your rifle shooting and shotgun loading would reap much more benefits than a 45* red dot. As far as cheap Red dots go for 45* mounting a FFIII is as cheap as I'd go. I'll sell my Burkett Mount ($140) and FFIII 8 MOA ($200+) for $230? PM me
  15. Yeah pricey for sure. They have good price breaks for active and retired military, police or fire/Ems. I got the kit with grey, red, yellow and clear I love them. Much better than my Costa sunglasses. Less fogging and bigger field of view.
  16. I have the Oakley red lenses and shoot open and have no trouble picking up the dot. I wear that lens in all conditions.
  17. I believe the BT combo is plastic. That means it will release a little less completely than kydex. Feels like the gun drags a bit. I have both and like CompTac for its release. I have no experience with BT's Kydex holsters just the plastic combo pack.
  18. Thank you. Looks great.
  19. Anyone have some pictures of the well mounted on a gun? Thank you.
  20. I've been in the shop a few times getting chokes, very nice guys. I even got one choke for free, guy just gave it to me said "have a nice day"!
  21. IC, LM, IM, Full I use LM 50%, IC and IM 25% each. Full one stage a year maybe.
