  1. The most expensive Level 1 (or even 2) match in the country, and Shannon Smith is no longer the MD. The shooters caught on to their scam last year and this year although they reduced the price a ton has not bought back a lot of good will. I don't think they run local matches there anymore either so there is no local group of dudes to show up and pad the numbers either.
  2. The guy was caught, then admitted to wrongdoing...what did you expect ?
  3. The light must be functional in Production, CO, SS and (lol) revolver
  4. If you're not using it for CO/Production or IDPA you can take the firing pin safety out. One less thing to get jammed inside the slide.
  5. It is very close to the limit. Using plastic grips and lightened guide rod
  6. That's weird. There's not much to grab on to, and you'll probably ruin it if you try this, but try grabbing the end of the firing pin and rotating it. If the FP safety is stuck somehow that may allow it to snap loose.
  7. How does the sear spring look? Was it installed correctly? They can be a pain to install if you haven't done it a few times before. Using a slave pin made from a q-tip helps immensely.
  8. If you shot at it or not, if you missed it twice you deserve the extra penalty But in reality, I usually try to call it and point as soon as it happens so other people see that I saw it. Sometimes if a person does a wild ass plan it's hard to notice and it's definitely easier to call it when working a major when you are way more familiar with the stage. We shot a Halloween themed match and all the targets on the memory stage had tombstones next to them. After working the whole weekend we could call by name which target got skipped.
  9. Definitely much different from my experience.
  10. You have to RO three Level-2 matches before becoming an RO? So you are working those matches as a non-certified person? IPSC is weird.
  11. They split the job into the pres position and the executive director position and cut the pay of the pres position after Foley was booted.
  12. Honestly the old one required more thought. You could push speed a bit more and afford to drop a couple points or go slower and get the points. The current iteration of IDPA is down zero or bust, there's no choice in the matter. Although I guess that applies to the whole sport now not just the classifier
  13. The biggest issue with the old one is that it took absolutely forever to run a large group of people through it. The best thing about bumping to M was never having to shoot that thing again, let alone once a year in whatever division you wanted to play in.
  14. Wow that's brutal. There trophy allotment and the match bump rules should be separated.
  15. If you shoot enough matches it will happen. All the people ahead of you will get bumped until you become the man in that division, then you get to do it all over again.
  16. What are you training for doing low ready double action shots? You are never at low ready in a USPSA match.
  17. Pull the trigger for DA for the first shot, then don't release it all the way and pull it again.
  18. My p10c would not load any of my 124rn or 147tc coated bullets. Factory loads are fine. Newer tanfos are also short chambered but I had mine reamed before I received it. I believe the technical term is cutting the leade or throat or freebore. The chamber itself doesn't get changed. There are a few places out there that provide the service. I've used Patriot Defense in the past.
  19. If you haven't reamed your CZ barrel for longer ammo you are f*#king up already
  20. huh? Troy was not elected. My point is that Troy does not seem to have learned that outbursts directed at members at major matches, especially in front of other members, are a bad idea.
