Yep go for it, sounds like a deal. I wasn't ready to commit to a project until probably in the Fall or so anyway.

I just recently got my gun back from EGW with this mod. I don't think it really affects accuaracy or speed at all to be honest, but it did fix the wicked ding I had on the left side of my sight, and it also snags a bit less if I catch a bit of it on my shirt or vest(I shoot IDPA too) or something.

Yes but when the paster is 3 targets ahead of the scorer and forgets to wait until the hits are scored the shooter can't watch both guys at once

Don't know, never had Novak sights, and I havn't shot this yet (will tonight) but the sights seem like they will allow me to be a little more precise on far targets or on targets between two no shoots and things like that. The rear blade on it was huge before and covered so much of the target I didn't like it.

Got my Para back from EGW and George there did an awesome job on it. It has the following mods now. dawson fiber optic front sight race cut bomar rear sight EGW 'E' trigger Koenig ultra low mass hammer 3 pound trigger pull Ed Brown wide ambi thumb safety Smith and Alexander Mag well Wilson Tungsten Guide rod EGW match bushing I was planning on shooting it tonight but didn't get to go out. Tomorrow I'll put a few hundred rounds through it. The trigger is great. I was deciding between the 2 or 3 pound triggers and went with the 3. It is super light and crisp and breaks clean, the 2 pounder must be super sweet, but the 3 pound is fine for me. Well anyway, here's some pics

That popper isn't really to scale in the picture. It was probably about 3/4 of the way to the 2nd target.

I got me a trophy out of this one too I just feel a little dirty about it this stage. Really it wouldn't have affected my placement either way though. We had been talking a bit about shooting the stage like that before I went and I think I was teh only person to try it like that...now if I could just hit the damn -0 twice I wouldn't have to worry about it.

I meant to post this earlier last month to see what you guys thought of this but forgot. The way I shot it the MD and SO's didn't think it was worthy of a PE, but the more I think about it the more I think I might have deserved one. Basically I shot the popper first then teh long range target next...made me way down shooting the rest of the targets, and finally put one more shot into that long range target into the -0 zone from about 6 feet away. Turned out I had a -0 and a -3 shot on that target so I think it was worth making up that shot to get another -0.

That's what most guys did too. The one person who tried to reload shot the first 3 too fast then dropped his mag so he ended up blowing it totally. That scared the rest of us mortals into going for 3 A's

Baseball standards! The only classifier my rookie self has done to date. 3 shots, reload, 3 shots in 4.5 seconds par time at 25 yards is hard. And that's only one string out of 4 HHF is all A's on all targets too AFAIK

Really? I wonder what follwers they are using. 18 is defintely my limit with stock followers/springs and the Arrend. pads. With the Arrend. spring and follower I get less because the spring is longer and super stiff.

I'm using Arrendondo base pads and I can get 18 rounds in. Is anyone getting more than this in their Para mags? With what basepads?

I've only handled 2 HKs (USP C .40 and USP .45) but I have no idea why anyone likes them. The trigger is bad in both modes and the mag catch is not what most people are used to (I'm not going to say it's bad, even though I hate it)

I don't feel too too bad then. I'm fairly new and shot a 13 second run at an IDPA match from concealment with my 'limited' gun. God I need a range around here where I can set up something like this and run it a few (hundred) times. The indoor range isn't cutting it anymore.

I'm in US Crovello I appreciate what you're saying. That's exactly how I'm feeling right now.

With what I've heard of open being able to really help improve your other shooting I really wanted to give it a shot, which is the purpose behind the question. My limited gun is still fairly new so I'm not able to go full into open but I really want to give it a shot. I really appreciate all your suggestions though. I still have a lot to consider.
