  1. Shouldn't this topic also be included in the "What I Hate" forum?
  2. Any updates from those at the match as to how it is going? We, who couldn't make it, would like some crumbs. Anyone take videos? Especially of that steel stage?
  3. Just remember............... If you come over to the "dark side".................as the Eagles said in Hotel California: "Last thing I remember, I was running for the door I had to find the passage back to the place I was before ’relax,’ said the night man, we are programmed to receive. You can checkout any time you like, but you can never leave!
  4. For Dillon presses and accessories: BE, best prices, service, and expertise! Not to mention he is fun to talk to about stuff For bullets: Angus at Ghost Products, good prices, super quick service For powder: Usually Midsouth, but I'd do business with anyone who had VV N105 in stock! Not much luck these days. For primers: Rileys Sport Shop in Hooksett, NH
  5. I had a primer ignite on a 650 a while back. Impressive bang and cool hole made in the ceiling by the primer follower rod. Yes, was wearing glasses, never reload without them.
  6. For paper target plinking I use the Zero 9mm 115 gr FMJ bullet, purchased from Angus. A lot of suppliers are out of stock depending on what bullet you decide you want. I also use Zero bullets in my USPSA Open gun, very good quality.
  7. I have my Super 1050 apart for cleaning/maintenance and wanted to completely break down the lower assembly (manual doesn't get into this). Have not done this since buying 6-7 months ago so now is the time. Are there step by step instructions online somewhere to help with this? I could probably get it apart OK but would certainly like to be able to get it back together properly after. Can you point me toward something (instructions with photos?), all help appreciated.
  8. Montana Gold has .40 180 gr JHP and CMJ listed on the website: https://secure3.mooseweb.com/montanagoldbul...m/pricelist.tpl Call to make sure in stock. Good luck.
  9. A week ago I started a thread wondering why Dillon did not make/supply a round blue aluminum handle for their Super 1050, like they already do for their 550 and 650. In the end I found that you can buy just the blue aluminum handle and install it on the shaft of your 1050, in reality making your own round blue handle. I added a post with the Dillon part # for everyone's use. Mine came yesterday and, to my disappointment, the part they sent me was the shaft and not the blue aluminum handle. Grrrrrrrr! So, I called Dillon and explained my problem to them. Seems whoever took my original order misunderstood what I was tring to order and typed in the part # of the shaft. Dillon quickly made it all right and today I got the 2 blue handles I have been seeking. I quickly switched over my 1050 and my 550 so now they both have pretty blue aluminum handles. So, if you are interested in doing the same, here are the correct part #'s that you need to order: Blue aluminum roller handle- #17070 Snap ring- #17069 (or at a hardware store) Hope this clears things up and helps you all. PS: Dillon...................thanks for making it right and................. great customer service as usual!
  10. Every year I stay at the Super 8 in Lake Wales. Very nice, cheap, and only 15 mins from the range.
  11. I didn't think so either, but it really did happen.
  12. Better plan, tell her how much fun it is to reload and let her give it a try! Nothing like quality time together
  13. I voted for Ghost. Why? See my post #9 of this thread: http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?...c=32664&hl=
  14. Update......... Just spoke to Dillon and ordered 2 blue aluminum roller handles from them. You do not have to buy the whole unit, you can get just the handle and then swap it onto your 1050 shaft. For your information, ask for part #17068 and they are $17.59 each. Hope this helps everyone.
  15. To anyone who has put the blue aluminum handle on the 1050 (1911jerry, AlamoShooter, others) ........ Is there a "trick" to getting the snap ring off? I have the snap ring pliers but the cavity is so deep you can not open them up a lot to allow the snap ring to come off easily. Any suggestions? How about when putting the snap ring back on again? Thanks.
  16. Well said, that's why I started this thread in the first place. It doesn't make any sense, maybe Dillon will read this and consider equiping the Super 1050 with the blue aluminum handle. Let's hear from all of the other 1050 owners who would like to see this happen!!!!!!!!!!! 100+ responses, let Dillon know your thoughts.
  17. Does anyone happen to know the Dillon part # of the blue aluminum handle? Just the round handle not the whole shaft/handle unit. Can't find it anywhere on their website or in the manuals. Thanks.
  18. Guys, That's what I needed to know, I will get the handle and install. Appreciate the help.
  19. For me it's not just the aluminum, I like the round shape better than the triangular one that comes with the 1050. All Dillon would have to do is place the round aluminum handle on the shaft of the 1050. It can't be that hard, or am I missing something? If they were to offer the round aluminum one for the 1050 I bet a LOT of 1050 owners would shell out the $37+ for one.
  20. swhitney, With your .02 and my .02 on this topic I think Dillon should develop one! Who else feels the same way? Dillon, you make such GREAT stuff, why not the round aluminum handle for the 1050?
  21. Merlin, Seriously? I was told by a guy at Dillon that they didn't make them for the 1050. Same handle as on the 650 round aluminum one? Do you have a photo?
  22. Just curious............. why does Dillon not make a round aluminum handle for the Super 1050? They make one for the 550 and 650, why not the 1050? The round one is much more comfortable than the triangular plastic one that you would think they would offer it for the 1050 too. Anyone know why not? Dillon?
  23. Unreal! I have taken 2 classes with TJ and he is such a great teacher, not to mention just a really nice guy.
