  1. Until my hands hurt too much to continue.
  2. I use BBI 125s with N320. I tried some 147s but found them less accurate and I didn't like the feel. I'm sure if I took my time tuning the load the 147s could be just as accurate as the 125s. I found the 125s flatter, faster, and snappier. I prefer them.
  3. Looking back through this thread I realized that this information is incorrect, I am loading 4.72 grains of N320 for these results. I apologize for this error as posting an incorrect charge can have dangerous results. Luckily in this case the charge was on the low side. What kind of equipment are you using that you can load such precise powder charges? My hornady scale only goes to the tenth of a grain and my dillon is +/- .1 also... Throw a bunch of charges and average it.
  4. Yes, it's going to be over weight and the bull barrel makes it not legal.
  5. I saw that video years ago, it always makes me ill to think how close someone came to getting killed. That second shot looks like it went backwards to me. Looks like it happened to a woman in Missouri this past week. http://www.therepublic.com/view/story/6724dbe87e70403cbe431cd18288aded/MO--Gun-Range-Death
  6. I love the RAMI safeties. All the others are too low and interfere with my weak hand.
  7. If the RO says "reload if necessary for next string" and I ULSC, am I disobeying an RO? Do you ask for permission to ULSC and then make ready again?
  8. Beretta 92 Vertec for the first few months in IDPA. Currently shooting a CZ and like it much better.
  9. Just nabbed 16 pounds. Don't have to worry about powder for a little while now!
  10. Does anyone make the opposite version of that? My grip is so high I knock the safety off with my support hand.
  11. Welcome! Where do you shoot tactical precision stuff? I've been interested in getting more into it. Seems like the only place nearby is up in Peacemaker?
  12. FYI It's hook and loop and multicam now.
  13. I want one just for the larger grip over my CZ. I held a large frame Tanfo other day and fell in love, fit my hand perfectly. The CZ just leaves too many gaps in my grip and doesn't leave much room for my support hand. My only concern on the tanfoglio is the size of the safety. I need the slim safteys on my CZ to keep from knocking them up with my support hand.
  14. I was shooting at a more uh... "rural" club and got the command, "Gas that joker on up." I just played along.
  15. Shipping is the killer on the cardboard targets. Try and get some throw aways form your club or get in on a purchase with them. I usually just use the paper practice targets with some old shot up cardboard ones as the backer.

    Mag pouches

Be careful with mounting the Racers at 90*. The don't have the same attachment for 90* that they do for bullets forward. The belt attachment has a cog like attach point. The mag pouch has a cog like attach point on the side for bullets pointing forward method. The pouch is very secure with the cogs lining up. When you switch to 90*, the mag pouch is a smooth flat surface. You can still mount it, but there is no matching cog like surface so they have the tendency to rotate. I wanted to mount mine 90*, but because of this, I had to go back to bullets forward. I'm looking to move over to the Ghost 360's because I've been told they are very solid and mount 90* with no issues. Is this the same for the Racemasters as well or just the Racers?
  17. I use a regular old Wilson rosin bag like baseball players use. Only cost a few bucks at the sporting good store.
  18. Buy a chrono. They are like $100 bucks and basically required if you're going to safely load.
  19. Welcome Tony, what part of MD? Did you shoot at the Sudlersville match last weekend?
  20. Didn't leave the range, ended up in the D zone of T3. It was primarily a mechanical issue with the new sear cage in the gun. The trigger bottomed out on the frame and the hammer didn't fall. I just got the stage results back, it looks like Lefty's Revenge (Stage 3) was good enough for an 88.43% according to ClassifierCalc. I see a couple places I could have shaved time off that too... Shot 91% of the available points for the match.
  21. Shot my first match today, looking for some advice. I realize it's hard to tell from 1st person perspective but it's all I got. I felt pretty good about it and shot good points. Entry and exits on stage 5 sucked. Missed a piece of steel on stage 6 due to crappy stage planning. You can see me hesitate as I try to remember if I'm supposed to shoot that one now or in the next position. I've been shooting IDPA for about 6 months but quickly grew sick of the rules, I'm hooked on USPSA now! Anyways, lay it on. Trying to learn... Thanks http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ka9Rl0s31ZY
  22. Are there any non Glock shooters training with a SIRT? I wanted to try one but I dont shoot a Glock and don't see myself ever shooting one. Not sure if the SIRT would hurt more than help with the different grip and trigger?
  23. Damn, and I just bought a bunch of the 1 pounders from them 2 days ago.
  24. Bummer. Do you have #3 D cages or are all D cages #4? I knew I should have had you guys install the slim safeties when I ordered. Guess it's not something I can redneck gunsmith? I don't even know where to start so that's probably not a good idea . Could you PM me an estimated cost and turn around time? I really appreciate the help Stuart.
