  1. Was looking at it as a gun care issue instead of as a rules issue.
  2. ? Normally when firing the last round the trigger is still held back while the slide cycles with a empty mag.
  3. Shot with a GM super senior last week who was shooting the same division. He does not have the foot and hand-eye speed he once did so what he does is done by technique and precision. Great opportunity.
  4. Never believe everything you read on the internet gun forums. (Even if I am writing it )
  5. How so? Wouldn't the impenetrable target completely cover the scoring area of the no shoot? Looks like example 1 on page 239 of the rule book except the shoot/no-shoot targets are swapped.
  6. Also makes it less of a pain in the butt if you have to change targets several times at a higher level match.
  7. 6'1". Guess I have average sized hands for my height. Tanfo fits me better, owned the Shadow 2 & it is a great gun but for a CZ I was a better fit for the SP01 frame and best fit was the Tanfo's. SP01 variants are good enough to win at any level and they are not this years new coolness so you see some great deals pop up, if you have not shot one that might get you a great gun at a really nice price. Stock 3's are just as nice as the Stock 2's and priced a bit better.
  8. New CZC Gun

I'm running Patriot Defense polymer grips on my Tanfos. I think what you pointed out might be why I had to file a bit to fit the grips to the gun, that and the fact that Tanfo seems to look at dimension specs as just a suggestion. So far, once fit and they are fine. Had purchased some ceramic grips before (CZ) & they rocked a smidge and I found it distracting.

    New CZC Gun

I thought it interesting that the 2011's I owned had one cosmetics only screw and one that actually does something. I guess they thought buyers would think things looked flimsy? I think the CZ/Tanfo issue came about because we want to use non-compressible grips with the 1 screw mounting system that was made for wood or rubber. Some of the suppliers (Lok for example) have figured out that you need a means to hold tension and started adding rubber washers or equivalent. I'm having good luck with making sure I have a rubber washer or small lock washer for tension and using loctite blue on the screws.
  11. Had the innards come out of my Dillon (9mm) , Dillon replaced it but I bought a Lee style (EGW) so that next time I would have a spare, I hate it when you have time and need to reload but your machine is broke. All work. The Lee style is more forgiving when it meets a rock or other hard object instead of the primer pocket. Probably went through 1 eclipse per 10,000 rounds ish with my Dillon, no worries after they told me it was just a standard hardware store item.
  12. You are not seeing your sight lift. If you watched the front sight longer you would see yourself pull off the second shot & that should make it easier to figure out what you are doing.
  13. Rifle based, but interesting to think about. Seems reasonable that different powder burn rates would effect barrels a bit differently even though you could adjust for the same exit velocity.
  14. Dawson measures from slide to top of sight, Xtreme measures overall height. A 5.5mm works out to be about a .150" Dawson measured + - . On one gun I needed to go to a 6.0 mm to zero, else the 5.5 have worked aok. Both styles work, Dawson design is sort of a round peg for a square hole with the Tanfo, it worked best for me with loctite red and peened edges on the sight for a slight interference fit, Dawson is brighter unless you can find the Extreme with the fatter fiber and want the wider sight. I prefer the Xtreme just because of the mounting set up, but no big deal.
  15. cy·lin·dri·cal /səˈlindrik(ə)l/ adjective adjective: cylindric having straight parallel sides and a circular or oval cross-section; in the shape or form of a cylinder. "a cylindrical plastic container" cone /kōn/ noun 1. a solid or hollow object that tapers from a circular or roughly circular base to a point. Can't find a picture with the slide racked back.
  16. I never figured out the light versus heavy FP thing. Maybe it depends on what Hammer? Running the heavy aftermarket pins in my guns with the Extreme hammer, 4.5# d.a. but Dillon 1050 and federals.
  17. There is more info (but still sparse) if you look at "Italian firearms group" on facebook.
  18. I called IFG (importer for the Limited Pros) about 3 weeks ago & they said yet this year. Patriot Defense posted a picture of the new LP frames (with Defiant inscribed on them) somewhere on this forum. Information flow from Tanfo seems treacherous in general. Text from the add below, you will find the same text on the Patriot Defense website & Ben Stoeger pro shop website and some other places if you look. Either the new and redesigned Stock 1 is IDPA legal or the Tanfo experts are running bad adds. It is weird to change guns dramatically and still keep the same names. I think the story is that the original stock 1 was just called the stock but then the 2 & 3 came out & people started calling it the stock 1and now there is a stock 1 . "Tanfoglio Stock models line is enriched with the STOCK I model semiautomatic pistol in double action suitable for Practical Shooting - Production Division and IDPA competitions SSP and ESP class. - The new Stock I allows the novice to approach the world of sports shooting and the expert shooter to compete in divisions that have been until now reserved to few models. - Stock I has a cylindric barrel113 mm long that can get excellent results also using coated tender ammunition bullets. - The slide is equipped with new and improved serrations for easy operation. - The frame is the Stock III one: it has a longer fore end up to the slide muzzle for a better balancing of the pistol and a picatinny base for the assembly of tactical lights and/or laser devices - The Stock It weighs less than 1219 grams including magazine."
  19. You just need to buy more Tanfos It gets easy after you have a few already shortened bolos to swap into the new gun & test.
  20. That is my favorite RHT. No problems with the double either if the fit is good, I think it might be easier for them to deliver a good fit with the single but that is just a guess.
  21. https://www.gunbroker.com/item/789161912 New version of stock 1, IDPA legal, available now but I think they are priced a bit high at the moment. Limited pro's are still supposed to be shipped this year, they are a little late, I think they were initially looking for them to arrive mid to late summer.
  22. Nerve racking. If you take it a smidge too far you will not be the first.
  23. Depends on how fussy you are. My guns have PD bolo, Titan hammer, 1 piece sear, extended firing pin block, lighter hammer spring, PD or Xtreme extended firing pins & fp springs, reduced weight trigger return spring. Basically I just asked Joe at Patriot Defense what goodies to get for the best trigger I could get. Lots of folks put in extra power extractor springs, I use stock unless I have an issue. You do not need all that stuff but for me it is worthwhile.
