Anyone using airsoft pistols to dry fire with?

I'm getting the equipment together to shoot my Model 29-10 in USPSA this year.

My goals for the most part are to have fun and compete with it. In that order. I've always chose the "different" way to do things and therefore want to use my new Mod 29-10. I've owned and shot a .44 mag since I became old enough to purchase a pistol, I'm mid 50's now. That being said, I have hundreds of .44 cases to reload and play with so it's cheaper for me to use this caliber. Besides, who doesn't love seeing "Harry Callahan's" gun going through the paces?

I wear prescription contacts with bifocal correction and it works well for me.

I had issues with the Wilson Combat 10 rd ETM, so I'm trying Tripps in my new STI Trojan. I did manage to have a couple of failure to feeds in the Tripps too. I may have to call Dawson and have them make up some of theirs for me now. I plan to shoot USPSA with it in Limited 10.

Maybe it's just me but I don't mind the sights being a little blurry as long as I can see the target. I close one eye for for long targets and small steel. I wear "bifocal" contacts for good distance vision, they work enough for the sights, but I still need cheaters to read.

I had STI replace the barrel with an STI barrel and it shoots like a dream again. I shot iy yesterday and had no FTF's at all.

I own one of these pistols and was wondering what it would take to make it a 9mm (preferably) or a .40 cal? Just looking at options since I have already invested the money in this one, and it's a low serial numbered Eagle. Thanks.

I practiced Bill's Drills yesterday and what a revelation. I'm definetly anticipating the second shot and pushing off the A zone.

I've been having this issue with my Eagle in .45 that was rebuilt and a Kart barrel was hand fitted. I tried several lengths of cartridges to no avail. No squibs though.

IMHO, STI Trojan with DP Comp package, add Tripp mags for 9mm and shoot away.

I have a Trojan 9mm and love it. Be careful if you get the Wilson Combat ETM mags for it, I had feeding issues and no slide lock with them. I just returned 6 of them and it seems to be an STI/Kimber issue with the mags, not with SA that I know of. The Wilson's are great looking mags, they just didn't work in my pistol.
