  1. Is there a difference between the Scorpion and Scorpion X?
  2. Thanks for the reply, dapribek! I found a new Scorpion for $1100.00 but its a 6" not a 4.5. I would still like some different opinions on the subject before I buy.
  3. I'm looking for the pros and cons of the VQ Scorpion X, Black Mamba TF and TK TANDEMIZED RUGER® MARK IV™ 22/45™ RACE GUN all in 4.5 inch. I've been shooting SC for a while and am looking to pick one of these 3 up. Disassembly ease and mag cleaning is important to me. I would like to get the best bang for the buck but understand you get what you pay for.
  4. Again, Thank You for the fantastic feedback! DS-10's on order along with a loading block. I can't wait for our next SC match!
  5. Thanks everyone! A lot to digest here. Mine is a 6". I'm changing the front sight to a fiber optic for sure and will look into your suggestions. Speed bees look great and are pricey, I like the price of the DS-10 but wonder about quality and function long term? Rebound spring at 14 lbs sounds good and my LGS is going to smooth out the action and install the spring. I looked a couple of months for this model and came across it at a LG shop and bought it on the spot. It was on display for hours not days. There were a couple of people interested before me but didn't commit. I got lucky for sure!
  6. I'm looking for recommendations on speed loaders that work, front sight replacement (fiber optic preferred) and reduced trigger springs that wont cause light strikes. I'm trying to get it set up correctly without a lot of experimentation, if possible. It's a S&W revolver .22 cal, 10 shot. Thanks in advance!
  7. Thanks to all, I went with Springer Precisions offerings.
  8. I'm setting up my XDm 5.25 for Carry Optics Div. What are the best holsters to use since my Limited holsters aren't legal in CO? I already have the optics on and am getting used to it. Thanks in advance.
  9. Success! It only took grinding the area where the cage nut resides, out a bit and shimming it so the screw would reach. Shot it last night and it balances the pistol just right.
  10. Will do. I also tried to line up the cage nut with a small pick. Thanks to all for the replies.
  11. Looking down inside the grip, the screw hole is too far forward in the square chanel, misaligned so not allowing the caged nut and square retainer to center properly in the grip. So when I try to align the cage nut from the outside of the grip, it cocks too far to the rear. The screw hits the cage nut retainer and doesn't contact the threads.
  12. Slight problem with the new Big butt grips, the screw provided doesn't contact the caged nut provided. I even tried pushing down on the grip to take all of the play out and shimming the cage nut to get it as close to the grip as possible. Any ideas? It's on a S&W 625 JM model. Thanks.
  13. Try 4wheelguns Thanks, I'll check them out.
  14. Where can I get one? I checked the Hogue site and coudn't find it. I have a 625JM round butt, N frame.
  15. Thanks, I posted a wanted ad here.
  16. What is a good competition holster to use for my 4" S&W 625? Both in leather as well as kydex. I have Double Alpha holsters that I could buy the insert for, but don't want to do that just yet.
  17. As soon as I checked out the fact that the extractor doesn't pick up the rounds, I will only use moon clips in them. The pistols came with more than 75 moon clips and a easy installation tool too. Thanks again for the help.
  18. Thanks for the replies. i am looking forward to shooting some Revo class USPSA matches.
  19. I picked these two up from the classifieds here, and am wondering if the moon clips are required for both, or will either of the 625's work without moon clips? I know that for competition it's a no brainer, moonies all the way Thanks!
  20. Thanks, I finally found some 150M's and will load them up to try.
  21. Settled in with a Carmony worked S&W 625 JM from this forum to start with. It requires soft Federal primers, but I just realized that there are a couple to choose from. Which are the ones to use with soft striking pistols? 150, 150M, 155? Thanks again to all who responded.
  22. Had my LGS polish the chambers and it worked perfectly at last nights league shoot.
