  1. Try 28 dq's! I wonder how many of them were on the prop gun and for abandoning a gun with no bullets that "wasn't safe" in a dump barrel???
  2. The "abandonment rule" ridiculousness sounds comical.. Unless you traveled all the way to Mesa to get DQed for something as so stupid as saying a gun with no ammunition in it isn't safe unless the safety selector switch is on safe. That is just comical (unless you are one of the people who got DQed for it, that is).
  3. Don't know the answer on that Pat, but the difference between this year an last year is that ammo is plentiful in a number of stores not far from the match (though not cheap).
  4. We are going to do another fun and exciting 3 gun match out at Copperhead Creek Shooting Club (Hidden Falls) in Marble Falls on April 26th. This one day match is limited to just 50 people, with a prize table in excess of $10,000. (By order of finish) ONLY 8 SLOTS REMAIN.... There will be 5 awesome stages, including one stage that you get airlifted into the stage by our MD-500 helicopter. We will be making use of gravity moving targets, clay launchers/throwers and the awesome natural terrain to make this as exciting as possible. The round count for these 5 stages is going to be HIGH, so bring your extra mags! We are keeping the distances down on these stages as well, 200-250yards will be the max range. Also included with your match entry is awesome food, Chris Kidd will be out there with his BBQ trailer again providing sausage wraps for lunch, and will be making steak dinner for everyone while scores are tallied at the end of the day. To top it all off we are working with the local 4H Shooting team as well as the Boy Scouts and we will be donating some of the proceeds to their organizations in exchange for their assistance on the stages, the future shooters of tomorrow from these groups will take care of all of the taping and resetting on the stages for us! Registration begins Tuesday February 18th at 10AM central time. Match fee is $275. Online registration and more information is available on our website, www.epic3gun.com<http://www.epic3gun.com> (If you click the register button before 10am tomorrow you will be asked for a password, that will be removed and it will work normally tomorrow at 10am when registration opens) A special thank you goes out to our major sponsors, TRIAC Systems and STI International. Even though this match is only two weeks after the national STI Texas Multigun Championship, STI was still able to get involved as always and support this event! So if you run into the STI crew at any of the events they are supporting locally, make sure you let them know how much we appreciate them.
  5. Thanks to everyone that made this match possible. It as frustrating at times, pleasantly challenging at others, and overall a fun time.... I will be seeing those IDPA targets in my nightmares for a few months....
  6. I am looking forward to this match. It will by my first time shooting it.
  7. I'm stupid too. Apparently you sign into the 3GN site, then go to the page for the match you want to pay for. It will have the option. I got the promotion email but have no option to pay on the damn RangeLog site when I am logged in... Oh well. Will wait for the invoice email.
  8. Sissy. Lol. I understand. I will have a blanket and a chair when I am calling hits.
  9. Or lets say the big guns show at half and not at the other half. Scores can swing quite a ways that way. That has been looked at before...the swing can be significant. Aside from keeping the "Pro" shooters out, there is no way to keep that from happening. There are top level shooters who want nothing to do with the 3GunNation pro series and could easily show up to half of those matches to cause the exact same issue. I'm afraid it is an issue that isn't easily resolved. Only way I could see around this would be to score the semipro points based upon the non-pro series shooters. Essentially, if the top points earned for semipro scores 88% of Daniel Horner's time.....his score would be 100pts and the other points earners scores would be based upon his time. IMO, that's the only way to score the semi pro points series fairly across the board. I remember backing out of the 3GN International match thinking someone would pick up major points since it was a smaller match, less people, and not likely to have pros. Horner came to the match and proved me wrong! Midwest3Gun had a couple guys pick up major points, and I think that Ozarks would have likely been the same IMO. Hello Everyone, just thought I would chime in and let you know that 3GN saw this as an issue in the 2013 series... For the 2014 Regional Semi-Pro division points race, the Pro scores will be pulled out. So essentially we will run the match as normal, including the prize table, but for the points race the highest scoring Semi-Pro shooter will be used as the 100% baseline. We believe this will alleviate the issue above, allowing the Semi-Pro's to truly compete against one another from match to match without the possibility of having one of the top Pro's swing the scores so significantly. +1
  10. So the rich guys get a preference? I can't afford to shoot all 4 but I would like to shoot 1 or 2... And screw the guys who have family obligations and can't make but 1 of the matches...
  11. So I sat for 2.5 hours on a holiday evening to register for the only one of these matches I can shoot and it never even opens and I get a Sorry we will try again later.... WOW really makes me happy to have paid for my 3GN membership..
  12. Have they decided that those of us in TX don't get to spend time with our families tonight??
  13. It still says registration is not open for this event... and right in the middle of a F*#king Longhorn game..
