    It is, after all, a game. The rules just said you had to wear your handgun on every stage. Not that it had to be available. I had mine at about 7 o'clock on my belt thanks to ELS.

    Florida was nice. Orlando airport was a bit more crazy... about 45 minute wait in the security line with all the Disney and cruise ship crowd.... but the $200 round trip non-stop was very nice...

    I counted 3 people shooting Irons Kurt... Only 13 people shooting something other than Tac Optics or Mil/LE.... Can't decide if I want to say screw it and shoot open or switch..

    I think it is supposed to be a mix of bay Pro Series type stages and long range natural terrain stages... like a normal outlaw 3 gun match..

    So going over the rules.. did I read it right that this is straight up time+ scoring? No stage points?

    If you bring a range finder or sweet talk someone that has a range finder Kane..

    I believe that .338 is the caliber cap. I think the max range this year is 700 because of some changes at the range. This was the long range stage last year. That far E-Type target was 825ish..

    And it doesn't necessarily have to be a "precision rifle".... Jerry won the semi-auto division last year with a .223 and recon by fire on targets out to 800 yards.

    Can you choose which one to walk, as 10th in TO might yield a better prize than 2nd in Open? One div in the morning and the other div in the afternoon. Can you shoot your "practice division" first, ie, can I shoot the stages in Open in the morning and then shoot them again in the afternoon with the same rifle in TO? It would flip on the second day so.......

    Tyler, are you referring to the new ownership as of about 2-3 months ago?? I don't think that is a fair assessment as they are just getting spun up.....

    I for one am curious to see the direction Armalite will take with their new ownership. Their new parent company also owns Surgeon Rifles, which is a huge sponsor in the Precision Rifle Series. I wouldn't discount that companies interest in getting back involved with 3 gun. Only time will tell. I will tell you that if we don't make them feel welcome they will probably just stay away.

    Amen, I think the biggest thing you could have touched on Blaise and didn't was the ability with paper apps for groups (such as your family or a group who always travels together) could mail in applications in the same envelope and generally all or none got in. Now you are sitting with 1 in 2 out.. If you pay for the 1 in and the 2 don't get in you lose money. If you don't pay for the 1 in then it doesn't matter if the 2 get in off the waiting list.... From a consumer point of view this method of registration kinda sucks.... Anyway, just my 2 cents. I didn't even get a chance to try because my kids happiness won out over sitting at the computer.
